hello guys
im totally new to Huawei but i like it so much with my Mate8, previously i used to use Samsung phone.
my problem is when i get any notification from ( Facebook, Facebook messenger) as example i dont get any notification number at the app icon.

Not sure as I've never stuck with the EMUI launcher on my Huawei's, the premium version of Nova Launcher has the Tesla Unread plugin though which works well for me.

Hi,
In order to have the number of notifications displayed on the app icon pinch the home screen> More options> Badge app icons> and select the apps you want. Also, make sure you set the apps you want to receive notifications from as Protected in Phone manager> Battery manager> Protected apps.
Cheers

Thanks.
It's miles better than the Message section in the main app and properly supports Facebook Messages/Chat threading, whereby both appear in Messages. The Message section in the main app doesn't.
I've turned off Message notifications in the main app. There's no point getting two notifications for each message.
p.s - Some messages are missing. I open a friend and some of the messages that appear on Facebook.com aren't there in the app.
I have a problem parsing the apk error message when trying to launch it on my Droid original, rooted, 2.1
Is there a compatibility of this apk and android 2.1 ? thanks
NEVERMIND: this apk requires 2.2 and up
thanks ! !
I'm getting two notifications despite having notifications turned off in the main app.
Anyone else?

Good point. It's really annoying how the main app tells me I've got a notification but the chat message doesn't appear in messages and chat is so rubbish it rarely appears in there too.

It was happening to me aswell, but i. Uninstalled the android facebook app.. And i now use 3 diferentes apps for facebook which is a lot more comfortable :
-for inbox (facebook messenger) got push notification
-for chat (go chat facebook)
-for facebook "news, friends, wall, profiles, etc.. " (browser shorcut facebook app) with gmail push notification for notification from facebook
Without any problems (want to see the walls of my friends "browser shorcut ", want to send an inbox "facebook messenger ", want to chat "go chat facebook ")

Have tried to search for it just now but it disappeared! It's nowhere to be found. I wonder if it gets pulled off from the market. Plus, why the attachment is just 2b?
Edit: it's still there, just couldn't access it in any network. Something must be wrong with my xda.

Crucially it's not a Chat but Messaging App and because of this I've found no difference on battery life. I've had to uninstall the likes of eBuddy (FB, MSN, More), Whatsapp, Go Chat (FB) because battery life is so bad. I guess the service must be quite aggressive to track "real-time" incoming/outgoing chat messages.
I've not found the Chat section in the main FB app to cause this problem but that's probably because it barely bloody work in the first place.
Because the two are merged on Facebook it can be used as a Chat App though, i.e - if they're online it will come through in Chat but it doesn't tell you who's online because that would make it a Chat app. Which would be nice.

There's nothing wrong with the app, there's possibly something wrong with you though. My mistake your download of it. Download it from the link the OP posted.

This sounds good. I imagine it could be used to find your phone if you've lost it too just by texting the keyword?
I know it's possible to do things like this in tasker, but that's far from easy.
Downloading now, thanks

yeh you are absolutely right .
also i have a friend who is an IT administrator and he use it to get important server crash messages .
he said this app is very useful
Thanks
This is fantastic - I am going to try this out next time I am on-call at work.
Ideas for enhancements:
1. Selectable alarm sound
2. Option to select alert repeat/persistence (e.g., one alert then silent --or-- repeat alert every N minutes until acknowledged --or-- play continuous alert until acknowledged, etc.)
3. Multiple keywords with separate alert repeats & sounds for each.
Thanks for this!

Is there any way to get this to work with Google Voice SMS as well, without enabling the SMS delivery from GV to my phone? (I already have the GV app to get my GV SMSes and don't want double-notifications)
Great App!
I suggest you to put this NOTICE::
the word is CASE SENSETIVE
for example, I put '' slayer '' as a code
but when someone writes that code, the First one will be upper case '' Slayer '' in this case it WON'T WORK.
it must be exactly as the Code!
Amazing app!

That's how my account is already configured, I was saying I use the Google Voice app on my phone to get my GV SMSes already. I wanted to know if this app would be able to tap into those SMSes and provide the same service as I don't want to hand out my direct cellphone number to anyone that doesn't need to have it. And I don't want to have to enable that option in order to make it work.

Hi,
interesting point there what i can do about it in the next version .
Thanks for the feedback .
@mivza, very well done! This is a great and highly necessary app.
I agree with gsarnold that having selectable notifications would be great. Maybe have multiple words with preset notifications and volume levels for each code? And is there any chance of getting it to work with Go SMS/others?
Thanks again!

Hi,
Regarding third party SMS apps its a little trickey, but i'm working on it
Multiple passwords and alarms would definitely come in handy.
This is helpful for me because I work nights... So it lets people wake me up when needed. Scared the flying spaghetti monster out of me the first time it went off though lol.

Some senders (bank, spamers etc.) use nicks instead of senders' numbers. For example, advertisement would have received from sender , called 'TaxiService' (not number). Could your app hide this kind of SMS/MMS?

Phone call : for quick open app via dial , you can open app by dial #<Password>
My social infomation (read your contact) : my app can add a phone number from contact( it is convenient)
Network communication : i want to my app can send SMS free via internet , it is not complete yet , i'm developing it:laugh:. you will be using it , please wait . And network is also used for ads.
My short report
I like this app.
Advantages:
Most advantages is in the initial post.
Hide non-numeric senders (see green rectangle at screenshot 1).
Move all hidden SMS from contact to Device.
Disadvantages:
I set large font size in Android display setting. So I can't see "+" to add phone number (I need to shift upper bar to press it, see red arrow at screenshot 1).
Menu Settings: Nothig happen (see screenshot 2).
Password changing: Password is visible (see screenshot 3).
After inserted new number to hide old conversations with this number are not moved to app.
Wishes:
Delivery report to SMS, sended from app (to be sure that SMS was delivered).
Hide/restore contact.
Export/import app's setting and hidden SMSs and contacts.
Set time interval to close app (in case if you forgot to close app after using it).
Advanced number matching mode including exactly, start with, end with, contains, regular expression.
Text filters by plain text or regular expression.
I thing, there is no reason to develop monster all-in-one app, it's enought to block SMS/MMS only.
Not increase app size if possible (my device has too small RAM free).
P.S. And yes, I like small-sized lightweight resource-saving apps, which are perfectly doing only one function. :good:
Thank you, i will try to make it better . Please wait 1 week for next version
For your Wishes :
No 5 : My app will close when you lock screen or device auto sleep, lock . you don't worry for that.

As a suggestion, how about support for Disa? It is a Hub Messenger app (SMS/Whatsapp/FB) so it will other sort of support apps for you.
Hello
The application and fantastic, but there's always improving! you could put the 1 upper case letter, whenever a message arrives in the whatshapp or telegram the balloon to write 1 letter leaves my tiny ... you could fix that. Thanks

Questions from a new Vivo NEX S owner

1. Is there any way to natively enable "Wifi-Calling" using the Funtouch OS settings?
I live in a very bad coverage area and definitely need Wifi-Calling when home. I tried using an app that supposedly enables the 'hidden' wifi-calling feature. It appears to work for a short while after enabling it, but an hour or so later callers report going straight to my voice mail even though I haven't dropped out of my Wifi network. Once I make a call at that point I start being able to receive calls again. I thought this might be a 'sleep' setting for Wifi, but the actual setting for that feature is set to 'Always On' so it's apparently not that.
2. Many apps do not have notification badge icons features on Funtouch OS. For example, the email app that comes with Funtouch has a setting called "App Icon Tag", but none others that I've seen have the same feature (even apps that are meant to have notification badges like gmail or Inbox or Linkedin. Some of the more ubiquitous apps do have this feature (i.e. WhatsApp, etc.). Since the underlying OS is Android 8.1 (which does have this functionality) is there any way to enable this in Funtouch?
3. Is there a way to get separate notification ringtones for individual email accounts?
The default Funtouch email app does not have this feature. It only allows a notification ringtone for all emails on all configured accounts.
Thanks,
M.
Found some answers (touches on setting custom launcher)
1. Is there any way to natively enable "Wifi-Calling" using the Funtouch OS settings?
Other than what I already wrote in the original post I haven't found anything for this

So this particular question would be easily resolved with a custom launcher, but since this has been an ongoing topic with no resolution (that I could find on the boards) I didn't think of doing this initially. However, I figured I had nothing to lose in trying so I did and to my surprise I was able to install and set Nova as the default launcher without having to create a Vivo account. I wrote Vivo and they said they were working on an "account registration system" available to others outside China with no Chinese phone number, but they said it was not yet ready. Apparently they must have made a change to the ROM because I was able to set Nova as the custom launcher (and select the 'default' radio button). Up to now I have been using Nova as my default launcher without it ever going back to the Vivo launcher. 'Home' always takes me back to Nova.
Because I can now use Nova as my launcher I can use "Tesla Unread" and have set it up to post notification badges on all of the apps that I couldn't before. For some reason though, some of the default Vivo apps (i.e. mail, calendar, etc.) do not post notifications in a way that 'Tesla Unread' can read so I had to download a calendar app and an email app to get the desired effect.
Google Calendar works brilliantly, but the email app was a bit trickier.
Bluemail does the same thing my V30 mail started doing after the Oreo upgrade (only counts new mail in the notification badge and doesn't continue to display unread count after I have cleared the initial notification -- even if the email itself is still unread). Fortunately Aqua mail works perfectly for this! I now can see notification badge for total of unread mail.
3. Is there a way to get separate notification ringtones for individual email accounts?
The default Funtouch email app does not have this feature. It only allows a notification ringtone for all emails on all configured accounts.
Aqua Mail has this functionality...I can assign individual notification tones for each mail account. Aqua Mail ROCKS! (so I bought the pro version).
Hope that helps out others having similar issues.

The app is just called "Wifi Calling" in the Google Play Store. As it turned out, I wasn't using it correctly. I had to take an extra step for it to work, but I don't get the pop-up for that step so it's not working. It came recommended from a thread on here when I did my original search.

I am also using Nova Launcher...that might be the difference, but I also bought Aqua Mail Pro and it works like a champ. It adds up all the unread mail in my accounts and displays them perfectly until they are no longer "unread". I can't say enough good things about it.
