DNLA UPNP Streaming MKV to Xbox One

What app can I use to use my phone to stream MKV videos from my DLNA server to DLNA device? Tried Bubble and a bunch of others, non work with mkv.
Dont need a player, just something to stream to another device.

I'm not sure what you are asking as you don't make it plain where your DLNA server is installed. What devices you want to stream it to and what relationship your phone will have to these devices.
All that aside I have yet to find video format that PLEX can't deal with and aside from the Plex apps it's totally DLNA compliant

I have a Ubuntu Home Server running MiniDLNA. I want my phone to access the library of the server, select a file, then play it to my Xbox One as the renderer.
I've tried Plex through BubbleUPNP and It doesn't work.

Ok. What about using Allshare from your stock video app getting the video file from the network section?

Play the video on your phone. Tap the screen and hit the little Square symbol at the top left of the screen

Skifta and Play to work fine for avi and mp4 just not mkv.
Is it just a problem with Xbox One?

It would appear to be an Xbox One DLNA issue. There is a thread on the Plex forums about it here https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/87245-xbox-one-dlna-problems/
Good luck pal

I use skifta or stock video app to stream to my xbox...if i happen to download a mkv file(xbox will not stream mkv), i will convert the mkv to mp4 using vidcon convertor by roman in google playstore.. as its mkv it converts in a few minutes..your phone will save the file as AMC and your xbox will stream the converted file with no problems

I don't want to download the files from the server and then locally convert it it, watch it, and delete it when it's done.
(The reason I want to stream)
Thanks for the suggestion though.
Some videos files like MKV, VOB, MTS, etc are not supported by DLNA at the moment. In usual, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 are the typical supported formats by DLNA. To make MKV, VOB files DLNA compliant, you can convert MKV, VOB to supported HD file formats by DLNA using some tools on Google.

Download allcast. Once you have it, unchecked use internal player in showbox and select allcast ad media player. You can cast doing this
