[Completed] Caterpillar s40 frp problem - XDA Assist

Hello,
So first of all my problem is that my father asked me to completely wipe his cat phone, so as i would do on any android phone i booted into recovery and wiped cache partition and i data/factory reset, so now it asks me to log in using a gmail that has previously been synced with the phone, my dad doesn't gmail one time that i created his email and gave him the password, he forgot the password, (most of the time he uses hotmail so he has no use for gmail) so now he's locked out of his phone. I tried writing to caterpillar support but all they said was get it back to the retailer.. the phone isn't rooted, usb debugging isn't on either, developer options have been enabled.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
The factory reset protection is there as an anti-theft feature. It is not designed to be bypassed. If you don't know the password, there's not much that can be done. Also, we have no way of verifying your story so we have to assume this device could be stolen. No offense to you, but again, we can't verify. Therefore there's nothing we can do for you.
Thanks for understanding.

Exchange password after ROM flash/Root?

I had an Exchange password on my Captivate from my Army email that I had to enter anytime I rebooted my phone (wasn't a 4-digit pin, I created a regular password). Last night I flashed JH3 (from JF6 or whatever stock is, I forgot already ) and rooted with SRE and everything was fine. I rebooted one more time last night after reinstalling all my apps but didn't reset my email. When I woke up this morning it was asking for my password again so I tried entering it but it's saying incorrect. Tried again and made sure I typed it correctly and nothing. So of course I'm on the last attempt and didn't know if there was something around this. Would something have changed the password with using Odin or SRE?
So if I have no choice but enter in wrong again and wipe the phone, I'm assuming JH3 will stay but will I have to reroot again? Anything else I should do while it's in a wiped state?
ok so I entered the password wrong for the third time and it gave me the option to either wipe the phone or enter the password recovery process, except now it's asking for a recovery password. Anyone know if this is a generic password or not?
and nevermind... just wiped itself... well if anyone has anything to add for others in the future, please do

my phone keeps restarting!

hi,
i am not rooted with stock(one s), and all of a sudden my phone stuck and started restarting itself over and over again.
what should i do ?
i can access the special screen when holding the volume button, but i dont know what to do there.
can someone help me please?
Boot into your recovery and recover an old image or wipe ROM and reinstall. The Boot.img from the previous ROM you were using was probably messed up and this should probably resolve your issue.
Dude he has not rooted how will he recover an old image and flash new ROMs??
Go into bootloader(the special screen u mentioned above) and do a factory reset from there...

i have a crazy problem!
i made already 3-4 factory reset, and after the reset, everything works perfectly until i try do activate or de-activate the wifi. when i click "on" the phone crashes again and goes into restart loop, and in order to stop it i need to do factory reset.
I don't know what to do!!
Now,go into fastboot and flash the kernel(boot.img) and then do a factory reset...this should work...

actually, i just find how to fix this problem.
(i don't know how to flash kernel or stuff like that cause i never did it.)
though i searched the internet and read about the same problem that someone had, and the fix is to cancel the "sync internet" for the google account in "settings -> Accounts and Sync -> Google -> uncheck Sync Internet"
than i can turn on\off WiFi how much i want with no boot loop.
the bad thing is that i needed to do like 4 factory resets until i got it.i think that if it happen that it is possible to clear somehow the storage data via the boot loader and re-configure the google account and imminently uncheck the "sync internet" check-box. and in this case a factory reset is not needed. but it's too late for me
this is the link where i find the solution:

does any one know what this "sync Internet" does in the google account? i
Thanks,

Hi,
There seems to be no question here , so it is not clear what you are after.

MHA-L29 - No way to do a factory Reset in Recovery?

Hey here,
short story: Mum forget her fingerprint password and now we have to wait 1 hour after she tries it for two times...
I thought it should be easy to reset the password after installing the android device manager to the smartphone (since i do have access to the google account) and then create a new lockscreen pattern.
But nope - i've sent the command from the website, that the google device manager should be installed but nothing happens and i can't retrieve the status from the device manager
But the part which irritates me mostly is, i can't even do a freakin wipe trough the eRecovery and the eRecovery Update mechanism fails completely. Fastboot also doesn't help because the phone is locked.
And since ADB Debuging and uknown sources isn't available i can't do anything here...
Since i have no chance of getting my pictures back i wanted to ask if any1 here has a tipp how i can atleast reset the phone?
Best regards

Reflash Samsung device without Developers options

Hey everyone,
I'm managing some Android phones in company using VMWare Workspace One and today, when I unenrolled phone using console of MDM, it says unenrolled but nothing happened with the phone. Thanks to that I got now device, which seems like unenrolled from MDM side, but device thinks that it's enrolled and still got installed our policies.
In our policies we have restricted to do factory reset on the phone and also developers settings, so I'm actually unable to flash new firmware over ADB. Factory reset over recovery also doesn't work, I'm missing "wipe data/factory reset" section in the recovery on the phone. Devices are not rooted and with OEM system.
Is there any way, how to rescue that device? I just need to wipe it into factory reset and reenroll that device using KNOX Enrollment again.
Thanks.
