I have searched everywhere and I can not find anything relating to this topic that isnt like a year or more old. With the new update that changed my build number to LMY47X.N915AUCS2COI6, but left my version the same (5.1.1) I was wondering if anything has progressed or if its a lost cause.

I doubt, my experience with bberry was that it always runs one to two versions behind after they release the phone.
Nevertheless, checking up the ATT, after a tip at Boy Genius website, visited the support page that shows how to update from I897UCJF6 to I897UCJH7. At the bottom of the page there is a link on how to find out which version of the software you are running, photos showing Android 2.2 running i897UCJK1.
here is the link for those that are curious http://www.wireless.att.com/support...ting+Started&tutorialId=825930&deviceId=12000
check at bottom of the page the link under related topic to get the specs of the phone used for this tutorial.
Have fund with this, perhaps is the only froyo we will get from ATT
That page has been there for at least a month now. It's not new.
See what I posted here on Jan. 20 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10767850&postcount=9
Which comes from an AT&T forum poster a few days earlier (sorry can't find the link to that post).
There have been a couple reports of this on the internet already. Its a good sign...it certainly can't hurt. A better sign would be if they would just release the software already. But after all...its only 5 months after they promised it...give them time for god's sake!

Is it possible to determine the origin of an mms.apk file?... I downloaded it about two weeks ago from here but I can't seem to find the thread again (just found the thread as a result from Google)... It was either on a Nexus or Samsung thread as far as I remember but it was working on my device which is neither of the two... Planning to cook my own ROM and I'm pretty hesitant to use it without proper credit...
EDIT:
Mods can delete this. When I was looking at the forums last night on my phone it didnt load the sub forums so I didnt know I should be looking specifically at the tmobile one or that it even exists. Sorry!
I very recently purchased (as in less than a week ago) a Google Pixel (5") from the Google Play store. I would like to root it, but have a few questions that I could only seem to find vague answers to online. Firstly, does the Google Play purchased version of this phone come automatically with an unlocked bootloader? I saw several posts online that this was the case, but the posts are all pretty old (10/2016, about 9 months ago) and nothing really since then. Is there a way to verify/check if the bootloader is unlocked?
Secondly, the phone I got has Android 7.1.2 (build NKG47L). These - posts look to be the most recent info on rooting this phone, but they mention a different build number. Does anyone know if this is still an accurate process?

Hi folks, I apologise in advance as I am totally new to the rooting and modifying android terms but I am looking for some advise if this is the right place or even pointed into the right direction. I recently purchased a Oneplus 9 which as far as I know came CN with Google (as advertised) I was looking to root the device and change the imei, part of of it is me being slightly paranoid and from reading a few peoples opinions on forums this is something they would recommend doing.
Basically I was wondering how would I do the above, why should I or maybe why shouldn’t I
Again, apologies and thanks again for any help
