Ahh... So.. I just wanted to restart my phone, so I got in the menu, pressed power of and reboot and .. Now the phone is stuck on lg screen.. A blue light just blinks, lg logo is here etc and that's it.. Help please ?!?!?
Phone not rooted and I did NOTHING whatsoever.. Just wanted to do a restart..........
So.. Please help..
This could be caused by bad FS permissions in the system, but your not rooted, so it may be caused by a corrupt system partition. You may need to reflash with a TOT or KDZ, not sure which one. This fixed my issue exactly like this.
Also, have you tried holding power+vol down for a long time to see if it boots after that?

How do I unbrick an LG P505? I rooted it, deleted a bunch of apps that I never used and when I deleted Nuance something or other it kept giving me an error telling me it had stopped working (apparently it was running on the background) and I couldn't get it to shut up so I shut off the phone. When I turned it back on again it was stuck on the android logo.
I've tried hard reset, but it gave me an error right after the LG setup thing and now whenever I try it again it gets stuck on the android logo screen again.
Any help?

Are you having custom recovery or stock one? And what error did you get when you tried to start recovery
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk
I didn't get to install custom recovery. Right now I managed to get to the fastboot mode screen, but I'm not sure that's gonna help in any way...

To start recovery hold volume down +home+power until it comes if recovery starts means u are not bricked but if you are getting fastboot error means your mobile is bricked to unbrick follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088046 and be sure to see every page of the thread for problems that may occur while doing it and their solutions
It works with p500 but I don't know about p509...

Sorry, I know nothing about LG phones. You might be better looking for a thread for the ROM you flashed or for your phone's thread. You will probably get better response and help.
Good luck.

Try pressing vol down and then power, so you will get to the recovery.
From there, do all wipes and formats and then reboot.
Theoretically, this could solve your problem.

There, fixed.
th LG update tool is absolutely horrible. I was updating my firmware with this tool and wifi disconnected a few times, (on talktalk, horrible provider) it continued with the firmware download nonetheless, it seems that it does not check properly that the downloaded firmware file is corrupt or not and continues flashing regardless.
Suffice to say, the wifi disconnect happened at around 10% of the download and when the firmware was flashed, it generated the error at around the same time resulting in a phone that looked completely dead. black screen, no lights etc.
Thankfully got it working via the powerup and cable insert and reflashed the recovery from the lg tool.
I wonder how many LG optimus phones get sent back to the company for fixing. I have flashed many phones and devices, never had this type of problem before.
Hello, I have a lg p350, and I deleted some standard apps, like lg pc suite. Now my phone doesn't work anymore, boot take long, then i have to follow the first-start procedure and then there's no menu or something. I can't start him in recovery mode. Is there a way to recover or do I have to tell my mum thats i breaked my brothers phone?
Help please, Nathan!
have you tried kdz?
take a look at these posts here, here and here hope it helps
P.S
you can always use the search function in xda if you need more research. try kdz, lg p350, bricked.
Stuck
Thanks for posting this three options, it worked, but now I'm stuck at the LG bootscreen...
ANYONE?
Have you tried clockwork mod.
First do a factor reset
Download clockwork mod from market. Then download the cymogen mod 7.2 zip for your lg.
Download one click clean from market and clear the cache.
Go into the clockwork mod. After that click flash update zip and click the cymogen mod zip. Wait and then you will see a boot animation and done you have fixed your LG.

Try flashing different firmware, and first boot might take a LONG time so just wait. Most of the times kdz is our last hope for bricked phone it should work after some tries.

Lol, i saw this many time and its easy to back with your phone. Search in forum "how to downgrade stock rom lg p92p" and follow the guidance. Dont worry, your phone just was not upgraded properly and that means it is fine

Hi, i have been looking for answers on the forum, and i learn new things but not how to fix this or what is causing it.
I have buyed i997 from a reseller. He sayd it doesnt work because it have bootloop, but i thinks that is not too much problem getting it working again, so i started searching for the pc drivers n software, then i find here in the forum the stock rom with and without root, i tested them both with odin and the bootloop stills present. I wipe cache and do a factory reset but it keep bootlooping, then think maybe if i update to latest AT&T rom, but no luck.Sometimes the phone just start and theres no bootloop but its very rare and most of the time when i get to the lock screen or setup manager suddently a gapps or something crash and my phome freezes and reboot. I flashed the carbon-jb-v1.6 and suddently it worked fine, no more bootloop and everything smooth,no crashes etc.. then i installed Facebook app and when i was ttyping a message the phone froze up and then restarts, and the bootloop came again, and im stuck on it, and when i pass it, which is very rare, i start typing info in the startup manager and the phone freezes and reboot.. I wipe/format cache, dalvik, factory reset, formated system and data before and after flashing the carbon rom again and it keeps bootlooping. Somebody have similar problems or know how to fix it?
Thanks
P.d. sorry for my bad english.

Thanks man, but you think it can be the power button? When i unplug the battery and put it again the phone doesnt turn on or something, and when it boot up when i lock the screen with the power button it works fine. I set the cpu governor to conservative and since yesterday i didnt have any problem, but sometimes the phone reboots when typing, i think its someting with the processor or when the phone have little ram or something.
Thanks.

If you ran the phone on complete stock GB or FROYO and you are getting boot loops, it may be a hardware issue.
One of the few things that will give you boot loop with the samsung logo while using the phone is the power button.
Either way, it's no big deal to open it and clean it up to see if the problem goes away.

Thanks bud, I will try cleaning the button. Also I want to ask, is there something to log everything when the phone start? Or something to test the hardware functionality?
Thank you for your time

Bootlog Uptime will keep a record of all boots from an Android OS perspective ... It will also track crashes... It won't track events outside of a complete restart (i.e. power button bootloops.. But those are pretty obvious when they occur)
For hardware testing, try Z Device Test... That won't tell you about the buttons though... If your screen turns on without pressing power button or from any other standard event (like receiving a text or a phone call), or the phone restarts by itself, time to get cleaning..

Hey thanks, that was very useful.. i risky miself to do a stock flrom flashing with pit checking the Nand erase all option in Odin 3.07, and the random reboots are gone . Now i have one question, Do i need an special kernel for JB 4.2.2? i plan to flash the Carbon-jb-v1.6 rom but i dont know if i need another kernel
I'm glad to hear you solved your issue.
For JB, use the kernel provided with the rom.
