its the same method that i did when i upgrade from B180 to B320 but it doesnt work for me when i want to downgrade, after flashing .img files i restart the phone stuck on "your device is booting now..." and i cant enter stock recovery. so to solve the prob i have to restart bootloader and flash twrp and go back to B320 i hate B3xx its so buggy, slow, apps crashing freezing, too much problems....) B180 was working perfect for me. btw i have a L29C652 no firmwares no updates.... my bootloader is unlocked i was using C900B180 and now C900B320.
then Flash the img files System,Boot,Cust and Recovery from B180 via fastboot, reboot and set up the Phone, power off and press the three buttons to flash the B180 update.app and Factory reset, this works for me without Problems.
Make you a Factory Reset after flash B320?Mine is not freezing or Buggy but the loction is total wrong.
or you can Flash the international B180 in Twrp, before flash this format system, data,,dalvik cache, cache and cust in twrp and flash B180 int.
Then reboot into Bootloader and flash Stockrecovery and Power off.Install update app B180 with the three buttons

Where are the .img file?

So I've got a Mate 8 from the Alibaba website. Got it yesterday, did OTA upgrade. Latest one was NXTL-L29C432B180. I wanted to upgrade to the new EMUI 5.0. I've successfully unlocked the bootloader. Tried all bunch of Update.zip files. Most wouldn't work. One actually worked but whenever it finished install (i used manual update through the *#*# keypad sequence) it went back into original 6.0MM as if no update was finished. Tried that few more times with same results. They i saw on the forum a way to update with flashing SU fFirst, followed by the some EU_HW file then followed by the UPDATE.ZIP. Well that messed up my phone, Tried everything to unbrck it..
I then turn over my phone and I see that the model number is actually NXT-DL00. So I am assuming the seller flashed the EU Firmware on the Chinese version of the phone. I've tried Rayglove Knife Unbrick method, but it hasn't helped.
I've found a Nougat 7 update_data_full_dualcu_cn.zip file and flashed using TRWP. Instead going into Huawei Erecovery (which hasn't work either) it just sits in the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted screen" with a message "Your device is booting now".
I am getting pretty desperate guys. I've never had this much issue with my Note 3 and Note 4 phones. Can somebody please suggest what I can do next?

Have you flash only update_data_full_dualcu_cn.zip without the Update.zip? There are 2 Files to flash

another Question,have you changed your Custom.bin and Oem.info from L29 to DL00?

If you on C432
Download this Firmware B180 and unpack it.
Download Huawei Extractor here and install it
Open Huawei Extractor and extract from the downloaded unpacked UPDATE.APP,system, cust, boot and recovery and copy in your Fastboot/adb Folder.
Boot in Bootloader and connect the M8 to the Pc.
With this commands flash the img files (cd C:\ADB)
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
After flash all img files,Factory Reset.
if you on Bricked Emui 5.0
Flash Stock Recovery from Emui 5.0 also extract from Update.zip and extract the recovery from the Update.app to your adb Folder and flash the recovery
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img

I haven't done anything myself. As soon as I got the phone i did 3 or 4 OTA updates. Final version was NXT-L29C432B180, but on the back of the phone its a DL00. What gave me the bootloop was when i flashed
these 3 files and then restarted the phone from this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/how-to-install-nxt-l29c432b560-official-t3540042
1- Download these 3 files (update.zip, update_full_hw_eu.zip, supersu_v2.79_sr2.zip)
1.1- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/d...ull/update.zip
1.2- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/d...full_hw_eu.zip
1.3- http://www.sillanwali.com/downloads/..._v2.79_sr2.zip
So I am not really sure on what EMUI I am on.
I will try your procedure above. How do I factory reset the phone after I flashed the img files?

Yes, i've just reflashed boot, recovery, cust, and system from 180 that I extracted from update.app file.
I dont understand what is happening. I've worked on Note 3 and Note 4 with roots and bootloops and was always able to reflash it with a stock rom very easily. but this .....

2) update impossible !
- The "update" menu in setting disappear !
- HiCare say "Your phone is up to date" but i have the red badge (1) on icon Setting
- TWRP say error : 7 when i swipe the update xxxxB389 update.zip correctly
My phone is FRD-L09 C432B380
Thanks For Help :good:
First you have to "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and "fastboot flash recovery2 recovery2.img" from extracted update.zip of current B380 firmware (huawei firmware extractor). You just replace custom recovery with stock one. Second read the process of dload method. Then download rollback package for your model and firmware B131 (Android M). You could find them somewhere on XDA or download them through Honor site/Firmware Finder. First dload rollback package, than the same for update.zip and then update_data_full_hw_eu.zip. After all 3 files are flashed you should be back to stock and ready to take standard OTA to latest firmware without any sign of unlocked bootloader.

i don't understand, i'm novice.
i don't have a windowsOS to launch firmwareExtractor exe , but i have the fastboot command in terminal.
i have found and download the rollback package : hihonor.com/fr/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=92133
Someone could send you the right recovery.img and recovery2.img if he has downloaded FRD-L09C432B380 and has got Windows to extract that. And you need a B131 firmware to download (2 zips).
Do I understand that you have nonWindowsOS PC and you have access to adb and fastboot respectively (and via that you were able to unlock your device in the first place)?
mmm yes i have unlock my phone via ADB on OSX
i have found B131 . : hidrive.strato.com/lnk/Rdljlogo
that all i need ?
Yes, b131 is only one zip file with aproximately 1,75GB, rollback package is about 74,4MB (both comprised). I do attach recovery files from FRD-L09C432B381 and which I used to flash over TWRP before updating to newest firmware. It should work. Start with flashing recovery via fastboot, than dload rollback and last would be the firmware. Good luck! Give others feedback if it helped you.

1 ) Flashing with FastBoot recovery.img and after Recovery2.img
2) What can i do with RollBack ? i have dload folder with UPDATE.APP inside
3) Swipe Firmware b131 with TWRP ?
4) i have a clear phone with no unlock ? and i can update in setting app
1) Yes. Estabilish fastboot connection with your device, put the files in the folder of your "adb program" and use the commands above. Now, you will lost TWRP and will have stock recovery.
2) Yes. I have sent you a link to check dload process. You have to dload rollback via button combination with your SD card. It's all there.
3) No. After flashing rollback package via dload you have to do the same dload process for the B131 firmware. It's just the same. Very short recap is here.
4) Yes, back to stock, only with "old firmware".
Yeah thanks i will doing this soon

You can download the full firmware directly from honor, unzip it, and place the update.app file in a dload folder that you create on your sd card. Power of the phone then hold volume up, down, and power at the same time to initiate an automatic flash of the room you downloaded. This will erase everything, so be aware.
1.Download full rom from huawei support site then extract update.app
2.place it in dload folder using twrp (in twrp enable MTP)
3.Now extract the recovery.img from update.app using huawei extractor and flash it using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4.now power off phone then start phone holding Volume Up ,Volume Down & power button simultaneously
5.it will start updating

I had the same problem once.
You can try to flash the cust partition of your phone. The "device verification failed"-message should disappear then. It's not enough to only flash boot, system and recovery. If there is a problem with the cust partition of your phone you can also have problems with flashing stock roms via "dload"-method.
1. Download the right stock firmware via the huawei firmware finder. You usually have two .zip files (e.g. update.zip & update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip). The image file for the cust partition can be found in the update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip (choose the right one for your model).
2. Unpack update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip and extract the cust partition with the huawei firmware extractor.
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode
4. Use the following command: fastboot flash cust cust.img
5. Try to boot into your stock rom.
Hi guys,
so i just had my Honor 8 on Android 7 (EMUI 5.0?) rooted and unlocked but wanted to unroot and relock. I used a tutorial for that but i think i made a mistake.
Now I stuck on the honor 8 bootscreen. I can enter fastmode and the recovery but my battery is always low.
I used the rollback package but it didnt install. Also a factory reset from the stock recovery doesnt work.
I also tried a method from here where you flash the cust.img boot.img recovery.img and the system.img from the stock an then flash the Update.app via eRecovery but this also didnt work. It stucks at 5% and does nothing. I am also not able to get to the eRecovery without pluging in the usb into the pc.
Is there any possibility to save my honor? Data's all saved.
I tried it with the rollback package, the B101 and B131 i think.
Thanks,
Musti

What you can do is to try to flash firmware via TWRP.
Follow this guide (use "FRD-L09" link ofc...): https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-honor-8-to-frd-l19-t3632220
And after TWRP flash, you should flash this firmware (L09 link instead of L19 link of the guide) via dload folder method: FRD-L09C432B131
If you need help to find TWRP version, see my post : here
Do the method where you flash cust.img system.img etc but this time you boot into recovery and factory reset, then just boot, i do this everytime
Ok, so I had oreo in my 6x indian variant, and wanted to flash elemental OS V8. But for some reason the TWRP was not able to access the data partition. And when I read somewhere in XDA (in other device's forum) that changing the file system from f2fs to ext4 can help and did so and it worked. I could access my internal storage and everything on TWRP. But I didn't change the file system back to f2fs and sideloaded the elemental 8. It worked find and I installed it. When rebooting it got into bootloop. After that I tried to get into the TWRP but didn't work. I flashed the TWRP again which said flashed OK, but when I tried to enter it took me to the stock recovery. When I tried the dload method with the nougat B360 version, it gave me blank screen with red led blinking and nothing working after that. I tried dload with the oreo file which gave me back the stock recovery and erecovery, but again flashing TWRP didn't work. After dload, it reboots to erecovery and asks me to wipe data partition since it is severely corrupt but says factory reset failed. In some cases it does go factory reset but doesn't boot into OS. Since I do not have access to TWRP I am not able to bring it back. I had got into this situations before but the dload always worked. Maybe now it isn't because I am on Oreo and the partitions are different from Nougat? I also tried formatting/erasing partitions from fastboot but gives me error/ remote command not allowed. I also tried Multi-Tool8 and used the unbrick option. but doesn't work it gives me all flashed, and when i flash the oreo files gives me all flashed Error#1, Complete, Something went wrong and bootloops again or gives me blank screens.
I have attached a screenshot of my device info. If anyone could help me breath life into it.

What command you use to flash TWRP? And what image are you trying to flash? Try this. In Fastboot flash RECOVERY-V2.img (Elemental ROM TWRP) via command.
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY-V2.img
After it's flashed, press and Hold Power and Volume Up till you see Honor logo then let go. It Should boot to TWRP. If not then extract the Uodate.zip (the large one) and you will get Update.app and using Huawei Update Extractor extract System.img, Ramdisk.img and Recovery_ramdisk.img then boot phone to fastboot and flash them manually as
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk Recovery_ramdis.img
And,
fastboot flash system system.img
This should work. It's a boot error.
I was in same mode in fastboot when i updated to Oreo and it was b340 which saved me from this via dload. You give it a try.
You may not be able to flash twrp now as your BL me be locked after dload.

I did try that but from the unbrick option from Multi-Tool. And also there are two recovery images in the UPDATE.APP and I don't know which one to flash. When I tried from the Multi-Tool, it says you're trying to flash the wrong image. Also I think the boot partition in oreo is ramdisk? I am not sure... because there is no boot image in the unbrick option. Although I didn't try flashing them individually. I will try it and let you know. Thanks.

Yes, boot is ramdisk in oreo and recovery is ramdisk_recovery.

So the B340 dload didn't work for me. Gives the same results. Always boots into erecovery and then fails to factory reset. Also the phone doesn't get switched on or boot into recovery without connecting to the USB. Only when it is connected it works, that too after 5-10 mins after I press the Power button or the Recovery key combination. And I used a 4GB memory card, could this be the reason the dload didn't work?

You may need 8 GB SD card if you have or can borrow and see if that helps. Whats the size of update.app file?

Something around 3.3 GB. There's only some 250mb left in the card when I copy the update.app

May be you can try with 8 gb once if it is easily available for you
Hi, so none of the methods work. But I could get back to TWRP for Elemental Rom. Still flashing roms from TWRP doesn't boot me in. And now the dload screen doesn't appear when I press the combination. All I have is fastboot mode, erecovery and TWRP installed. But none of the methods work. I am not able to figure what I am doing wrong!!
Try hurupdater.
http://https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
0.3 for nougat or 0.4 for oreo (in my case works)
And remember format data in first time
You need the firmware for your 6x...
Good luck!
hey i am in the same situation as yours, all i am able to boot into is fastboot, nothing beyond that is working, i have the extracted update.app for oreo , the last system i flashed was emui oreo , and nothing else is working i have tried all the options suggested.
