Why? for lols and giggles?
This would be fun.
No time currently as I'm working on a project right now.
Hopefully somebody can pick this up.
If not maybe when I'm not busy I will try. Just can't promise anything lol

I may look into Plasma Mobile (I can now call myself a pseudo-dev, having built my first ROM from source about a week ago) but Ubuntu Touch is above my skill level.

Ubuntu touch seems better documented, and it has its base that can be added the aosp tree in it and build... Don't know, i am no dev, just asking...
I would love to, but with my new job I also have no time. Also no longer with the S5 (S7 edge now). Has the s5 been unlocked?! I'm thinking these ports would require a kernel, and that's not gonna happen with a locked bootloader.
Definitely would love to see Ubuntu come to our phone. I'm a little busy right now but as soon as I'm done with this kernel I'll have to take a look at the porting guide you posted.

This is still early in development stages and doesn't have any functionality... when it is completely finished it will be cross-platform.
Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll have more time to work on it extensively. If you wish to help/give suggestions/test please PM me and I'll PM you back when I'm ready (lfaber06 and jimbridgman, you two can already consider yourselves PM'd ).
P.S- Don't worry it's not some bogus virus thing, when I release it the sources will be included .
That is awesome. Im so happy about this! Life will be so easy! Will the flash fxz button just be one botton that does everything for u?
Now.... That's cool
Good job!
If you want any help with making this work with Linux, I will be more than happy to help, just PM me.
Epic contribution in the works!

Yup- boot into AP fastboot, plug in the A2, make sure you have the right drivers installed, and press the button to fix a softbrick.
This would probably work with most other newer Motorola phones as well... of course you would have to use a different fxz.
Lol, too bad I slept through most of yesterday, and I have school tomorrow... I pretty much have the java part of it worked out, now I just need to write a bunch of scripts... shouldn't take too long. It will also have the option to install the A2 bootstrapper... and maybe busybox.
This is friggen awesome man!!! If you need any help feel free to pm me! Can't wait!!
Wow! Our phone is gonna be something when it grows up!!

Can someone please confirm is the unroot function is working. ( no i didn't try it )
I don't think he even made it up for download yet...
Sorry guys I haven't had a whole lot of time. I think I've got the 1-click root/unroot worked out and now I have a base for everything else so hopefully I can get it done soon.

will this root method work with the 2.3.6 att system?
Probably not, otherwise we most likely would have seen it around here somewhere already...

I am going to wait for either joemeister&TopProspect or Silver's builds. I loved Bouyancy GB by joemeister, except for a weird keyboard revert bug. For now, the stock ICS is alot of fun to play with. I should be in bed right now. Phone priority seems to be above sleeping tonight.
Well it's out now. Go ape****!
I don't see a working/not working list. Is everything working? Data, sound, wifi, etc?

I'm not much of a coder (outside networking atleast) so I need input from the great minds here, on these Qs
Do the leak and AOSP mean that we are getting cm9 any quicker?
I also know that guesstimating is far from accurate on the subject, but anyone care to do so?

Let's just say all of this makes the job a whole lot easier. Can't give any guesses about an ETA, but that's the nature of CM. It comes out when it comes out, and asking for an ETA won't make that any sooner.

Svettius told me if we want an official forum, we need more people to start threads about the device and for more people to get interested in working on it. Spread the word. There is a forum on AndroidForums, but not here...

Hello,
I need 3 experienced testers if you want test please send private message..
Thanks.
one more...
There hasn't been too much of development around for this device (Just TekHD and sbreen94 devs), so people may not look at forums immediately but don't give up on the device please.
Thanks for developing.
What are the requirements for testing?
I don't believe a 5.1.1 baseband has been released for the T-Mobile variant.

Awesome work
Where can I download this rom at?
Glad you got it working! Looking forward to checking it out!
Is there a download link yet?
I was looking through the international thread, they have a few of s7 edge ports. I'm not a developer, hopefully someone can tell me why we haven't gotten this yet.
Possibly because it's up to anyone able to do it, wanting & taking the time to do it.
That's my problem... Time. I have to work 2 jobs, plus my kids.
we just need the patch so all the gsm international roms can work with our cdma radios.

That's the easy part, just make a backup of the stock mm kernel in twrp. The hard part is getting sprint calls messages and data to work.
Im on unlocked sprint so after mm kernel release ill be able to flash no problem? Thanks for your help
So, now we have a good mm kernel, thank you @UpInTheAir
I tried a s7 port river rom it said no sim which equals no data . It's a nice rom i like it alot things seems very fluid. I flashed the fix we have but it's not for marshmallow so it will just stay at the the splash screen.
