How to enable *#*#4636#*#* - Honor 4C Questions & Answers

Is there a way to enable hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* at Honor (Huawei) devices?
I found that some Samsung Device you need to add:
sys.hiddenmenu.enable=1 in the build.prop file.
or set:
/efs/carrier/HiddenMenu from OFF to ON.
But for me it dont seems to work on Honor..
Any advice?

Hi,
I think I found it:
For Honor 4c it is *#*#6130#*#*.
But on Marshmallow it is not possible to change the preferred network.

Data connection problem.
Hi, I'm having a problem with my data connection for my huawei honor 4c. My data connection seems to drop and get no service. I set the phone in wcdma mode. If i set to auto, data connection only picks up 2g and it would take some time for it to switch to 3g. Also, it takes a long time for data connection to be established after getting no service. I still don't know how to solve this since i've tried flashing from indian lollipop rom to malaysian lollipop rom (mines is a malaysian set) and to no available still having the same problem. I'm thinking of flashing to indian marshmallow rom next when i have time to see if this would solve the problem. Its really annoying when i'm getting no service and when i do get a service, the connection will drop after a couple of minutes and somehow it takes a long time for 3g to be registered to the network. I hope you can help cause i've been having this problem for 6 months now and this really put me down about this phone. I've used honor 3c before and never had i encountered with data connection problem. The only problem i had with my honor 3c was it consume a lot of data in android 4.2.2!
The issue is:
I can not hang up or decline any calls.

Why can't i hide apps in my honor 4c(kitkat 4.4.2) without using third party launcher/root applications or upgrading my device to lollipop or marshmellow.
I mean if I can enjoy the feature of hide apps using third party launcher then why not a separate app which can work without rooting my device
Hi I have this device still in stock kitkat. I want to upgrade to marshmallow but do we still need to go to lollipop before we can update to marshmallow. ? Reply via fb.com/aeone.regalia

Forced activation of VoLTE and VoWIFI of VIVO NEX

Hello XDA folks!
I succeeded in activating VoLTE with carriers that VIVO NEX does not support as standard.
I summarized the procedure, so please test it if possible.
I think Verizon will probably be available on "Volte_OpenMkt-Commercial-CMCC".
The rough procedure is as follows.
1. Enable development options, enable USB debug
2. Activate VoLTE switch
3. Enable DIAG port
4. Backing up the QCN file with QPST
5. Edit VoLTE information in QPST
Please check the link below for the detailed procedure.
・Publication of VoLTE validation method of VIVO NEX S
url gadget.hrksv.com/2018/10/06/post-17746
*The link destination is Japanese content. Please use google translation etc.
I can not check it because VoWIFI is not supported in Japan.
I think that VoWifi will probably become available as well.
Please test it.
I'm sorry for my bad English.
Thanks
Need to get the QPST software to test it out!
Do any of you think this can work on the nex 3 ? And the Japanese translation was still hard to follow, would I need to root the phone ?
Hy

Does Honor 6x actually support Bluetooth LE (BLE)?

I am currently working on a project where I am building a BLE device (using ESP32, irrelevant here). I am using nRF app on my Honor 6x to connect to it. The app scans but doesn't find the device. Spent almost 24 hours on it, only to use my wife's phone and it just finds the device without any issues, connects to it, and transfers data just fine.
I tried several other BLE scan apps on Honor 6x but got the same results.
Honor 6x does however find the device if I scan using the Android built-in Bluetooth scanner (from the Settings menu) and pairs with it as well.
So I am not sure what's going on. On my wife's phone nRF is able to find it in a heartbeat. But on Honor 6x, nRF and other apps are not able to find any devices.
Anyone has any ideas?

Hey, I have posted the information that you needed above. Do you have an Honor 6x? Could you please download nRF Connect for Mobile app and run a scan to see if your Honor 6x detects the bluetooth devices around you? Or anyone else could do that? I just want to make sure it is not just my phone or something in my settings.

Ah, that must be it. Huawei is blocking the app from running the scan. What custom ROM are you on?

[Q] Huawei chinese variants - find a way to set third party launcher

hello all,
as part of you just know Huawei has disabled option to set third party launcher on chinese variants of phones.
Just now if you install another launcher you don't have enabled the option to switch "HOME" stock launcher to another one because you only see their laucher option there.
Both ADB commands to disable or uninstall stock HOME are disabled here.
Do we have any trick to bypass this idiot limitation ?
Just using Huawei MATE XS 2 ( PAL-AL00 ) with HarmonyOS 2.0.1 here
Harmony OS has been developed by taking Android as a reference, however it is not dependent on Android, hence it does not recognize its methods and functionalities.

Emui on chinese devices are the same.
This is a limitation only on chinese variants.
Try to find a solution for that
