Dont post ques in dev section...
And you just need to do a clean install of the same rom...
I'm sorry I posted it by mistake.
But thnx for ur reply.
And let me know if i can delete my post.
And does clean install mean i have to delete dalvik cache, format system and clean data from recovery mode then fresh install the rom ??
Or just install rom once again without wiping anything ?

To backup your existing rom do a ndroid backup in recovery
Hey, thanks for your reply once again. Just one last question. According to instructions given in cyanogen mod 9 thread :
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore data using Titanium Backup! they might cause FC's
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
As mentioned, I can't restore my data as that would cause problems also I need to do factory reset? So all internal memory data will be deleted right? But I can restore sd card data back or I can't restore it back as that gonna create problem as well?
Sorry for so many questions but I wanna be sure before I proceed with this.
Regards
Praveer

It depends, what you wanna restore, if you want game data, or some app data you may and probably will have fc problems, if you want music and pics, no problems.
Hello,
I just want to restore my pics, vids, messages and contacts. Nothing else.
Will these create problems or no?
Thank you
I am using build#7 by lirokoa

Can't configure mail and exchange acc as well as market

[APP][2.0+][SHARE] ZIPme - creating a flashable ZIP of anything!

Hello, guys. I'm sharing with you the app ZIPme, it allows you to create a flashable backup ZIP of anything! Build.prop, boot animation, system fonts, accounts, messages, wallpaper, Wi-Fi, apks, apks+data, only data etc.
It's really easy, I added some screenshots to you.
Tested in:
Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070)
Galaxy S III (GT-9300)
Atrix 4G
Note: if you test tell me to add in list
Hope you like!
Words of developer (JRummy Apps):
ZIPme is in beta. This means there will be bugs and some hiccups.
ZIPme is a powerful tool to create update ZIP packages to install in recovery. Whether you are a ROM developer or just getting into "root" and "ROMs" ZIPme can simplify your life.
Who should use ZIPme?
If you install custom ROMs on your rooted Android device then ZIPme can be a powerful tool. ZIPme requires root access.
What does ZIPme do?
ZIPme creates ZIP packages to install in recovery mode. When you install a new ROM your system is wiped and many times you clear your data. ZIPme can create a package of your apps, data and files you want to install right after a ROM or as a ROM addon. ZIPme programs and signs the update ZIP package so your recovery can install it.

Edit: Worked perfectly. Made a zip backup of my SMS. This app deserves to be on the front page. Thank you.

Bloody brilliant =), I don't know much about flashing and that I know the basic concept and know my fair share but would it be possible to 'zip' lots of android apps as a backup and use aroma installer to choose which apps to install on ur phone again?

Well, when you are building an AROMA installer you select what files do you want, so you can backup with ZIPme, extract and put then in AROMA.

Yes, it can make anything in your device flashable.
Including efs folder, which I recommend everybody to make a flashable backup.

It's not necessary to flash.
Copy the apk, go to /system/app, mount r/w, paste the apk, confirm the replacement, set permissions to rw-r--r and reboot!

You can backup just what you want and it not backup all system (ROM), you can only backup important files to prevent anything.
Eg, I backup build.prop,
and boot animation in case of anything go wrong and the phone doesn't boot (making flash ROM again unnecessary).

Need help :/

Hi folks...
First of all I know a lit t le bit what rooting is and what you can do but that's basically it. ..
I have an issue that's bothering me. .. I bought a used mega and it's rooted. Now I'm running out of internal space and I wanted to free some space up. Now i found a zip file with the name "Cassies XLR I9205 V2 DEOD EDITION THUNDERBOLTED" on it and it has almost 1 GB. My question is, can I delete that? And I found a TWRP folder that has 6 GB. Can someone please help me out and tell me if I sho Iuld keep those or ifi can delete them.
Thanks in advance and have a good night

"Cassies XLR I9205 V2 DEOD EDITION THUNDERBOLTED" should be a flashable rom (The file contains a android operating system that you can flash to the phone) I suppose that this rom is actually installed. TWRP is a "custom recovery" which is an tool installed on the phone to install roms or perform backups. The TWRP folder has probably 6GB as there are already backups in it. If you don't need the backups it should be safe to delete the TWRP folder or just delete the contained backups.
Yup thats a rom you can delete it if u are done for flashing that rom
