Hello guys, I am here in Pakistan. Few months ago I tried to update my honor 4c to MM but as you know MM is not available for Pakistan officially.
Someone at xda gave me a version of Honor 4c Marshmallow which was build B502.
I installed and it had so many flaws, now I am unable to downgrade or even upgrade it to any other version.
My build number is CHM-U01C185B502
I need help to downgrade this to KitKat or upgrade it to MM B521 or latest.
I am so disappointed that even I want to throw this phone away or sell it anytime.
Please help me!

Hi Friends,
I am from India and my dad has an honor 4c which he has never updated. Its currently running on kitkat 4.4 build version CHM-U01V100R001C636B160. Now I want to update it to marshmallow to improve its performance. The phone does not show any update over the air. I have checked on the hihonor website and it currently shows only marshmallow update for the phone with build version C675B530. The release notes for the marshmallow update say that it should be used to update phones with builds B370, B380, B390 and B502 only.
Can anyone please tell if I can use this marshmallow build to update my phone? Also, I read somewhere that I will have to update to lollipop first. If so, where can I get the lollipop build for India?

When did the nougat beta testing starts for honor 8 Indian editions(FRD-L02) , UK (FRD-L04) devices got the beta app and they are accessible to nougat ,, why it takes such time to nougat beta update for india!!!
If Any one knows the solution to get nougat for Honor 8 plz replyyy

Registration closes by 16th. So it might be after 20th hopefully.
Don't compare the devices. Each region has its own carriers, sponsors, local compatibility issues which might take few days delay.

Any idea when we are gonna get a fix for this battery drain issue.. I am living in india.. Is there any possible way to get to EMUI 5.1 without voiding warranty.. Please reply.. Ty..

Well, EMUI 5.1 doesn't exists and will never exists. Maybe you're talking about EMUI 5.0.1? This is the last update marked B394 for Honor 8 EU. Name may change for Indian version

I saw a video of honor 8 pro running emui 5.1 in youtube...and again confirmed when i SA it in honor official website..

It does exist. It is the EMUI version used in Honor 8 Pro and probably in some other devices, too. The Honor 8 just doesn't support it.

I've been misunderstood. I know it exists, i meant it doesn't exists and will never by just regarding Honor 8, sorry xD
I am currently running b340 update. Frd L02..is there any improvements if i move up a further build like b380 ?? Battery life is subpar on my honor 8 now.. Even after doing all the optimisations shown in a guided forum here..

No i havnt got b380 update.. Currently at 340.. But i have read some threads discribing how to get to 380 build.. Hopefully honor will send out EMUI 5.1 update soon for us..

I think Huawei won't give EMUI 5.1 for 8. They'll just jump straight to EMUI 8.0

I own a huawei honor 8 , { FRD-L09C185B403 }
I'm still on the EMUI 5.0.4 version, android 7.0.0.
I haven't received any updates since October 2018!.. Most honor devices have gotten the Oreo update and mine shows as no update! I purchased this phone from middle east. I live in India right now. i searched the internet and could not understand a word. i haven't rooted the phone.
I don't wanna brick my phone but i want the Oreo update, so at least I an use VoLTE instead of regular 4G.
Please guide me how to do this!

Go to Settings - About phone - System software update - Check for updates.
It should be at least EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0.
Hey guys,
I sometimes think that my Honor 8 (FRD-L09) is the only one on the planet that didn't receive an update to Android 8.0 (Oreo). It said on the updates that it's the latest version. Is there a way to update it? I don't want to use something in official or that may void warranty.
P.S: Reply if you know how (NOT Honor 8 LITE or PRO)
It seems that you have Frd L09 c185 like me so you are not alone
Oreo for some reasons hasn't released for c185 model so you have to change your variant which needs open bootloader and twrp
