Any call recording apps that work? - Mate 8 Themes and Apps

I tried a few and none record the sound coming from the ear piece. Only the Mic. Have latest 320 rom.

me too am on 320 and nothing worked for me .... it was working on B180... but now on B320 nothing worked at all ... i tried alot of apps and alot of combinations in apps settings .... no result .. :/

No problems with call recording both sides of the conversation with Call Recorder by Skvalex in the play store. it will even auto detect your Mate 8 and automatically pick the correct profile for it in the settings.

Wow it's £7.99. I dont mind if it works but would at least like to use a trial to make sure it works.
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using XDA-Developers mobile app

There actually used to be a trial originally. But since I purchased it years ago I cant say when the trial version dropped. It always worked no matter what Android device I had. Rooted or not. I guess since his call recording app has become basically the best in the play store and the only one that has constantly been updated for years I would gladly pay it again if I had to.

Doesn't the Android market have a 24 hour refund policy for making sure things work? Or did they get rid of it?

No problems after I've found the correct settings with Call Recorder (paid) by Skvalex (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643).

I also put the settings to the CR thread

Works for a few days or so

I recall when I had my Mate 7 there was a hwcallrecorder.apk file that was official from Huawei (at least as far as I remember) does such an app exist for Mate 8? I rather liked that one due to the way it integrated with the dialer/phone app

Call recording was always built into my AL10 before I sold it. Do you guys have the L09 or L29?

That would be L29 for me. Can't say I've seen any recording function on mine using the factory B168 or updated B320

Boldbeast and Skvelex used to work on NXT-L29C636B170 and NXT-L29C636B180 but after upgrading they don't record the other side......
Tried most of them from Playstore......no success.
So is the only solution to downgrade to 180?

Actually makes headset volume quieter on Cyanogen 6.0.1. Not gonna refund yet, will wait.
@slimdizzy : I'm pretty sure that most of the ROM not based on HTC european ROM don't have the limitation that this app remove. It's related to a european lawn that limite volume on headset.
So, this will probably never work "better" for you.
Sorry mate

Doesnt work at all with HTC desire 2.1 stock (GSM) Telus North America.
why???
@ecitron , @summing889 : it seems that the limitation that this app unlock is specific to the european devices (maybe related to a european law about ears protection for all device that play music )

Glad you liked my app and sorry to see that I will investigate this issue however i worked really hard to make this app compatible with every android device but because of very large range of android devices its impossible to test the app on every device.
I have tested tjis app on devices with android 4.1 and it worked great. Some custom roms can also be the problem. If you use it on your phone with stock rom i am sure it will work.

I hope you have found a solution for this if not there is N number of tools available online. I personally prefer and tried some of them; so maybe you can try it too...

Currently am using Cinch Audio Recorder for recording purpose as it is lot cheaper compared to any other software and the quality of output is good too.
You can try it any of the above software and can share in your experience.
I hope this helps.

I just ran a test, recorded a 4 min video with no freezes. Curious if you had lots of apps loaded in memory, or if it was especially warm in that room. I checked and only had a couple of apps loaded. Just two things I thought of. Still would be very interested in what support says. I do sometimes take fairly long videos of music performances. Never had that issue on my previous phone either.
I would start no but also never had problems with my pixel 2xl a oneplus 6 or any other phones I've had in the past. I could do a factory reset and see if that's fixes it. I highly doubtful it will do anything

He had my revert the stock camera app back to the original version when the phone was released and appears to be working fine. I will report back once I'm able to take more videos.

How did you revert back to a previous version of the camera app? Isn't the current Sep 5th update the same one the phone was released with?
Go to the settings page and find the camera app and click clear cache and data then click the disable button, this should uninstall and updates then if it doesn't take you the playstore then go too the playstore and find the Google camera app and go to the top right hand corner and click the drop down thing and uncheck the auto update function.

That explains it. Im in SouthEast Asia, using the HK AC2003/AC01AA Global build. But the implementation of call recording is so poor that they might just as well have left it out.
Call recording for me only works when you put the phone in speaker mode. But they dont block you from recording if you arent in speaker mode nor do they tell you. Just that you cant stop the recording and when call ends, you dont get any recordings or if you do, it doesnt show anything when you try play it back.
