Hey to all members here,
We have just released Aicall V2.0.1.The app uses VoTune tech to place calls anywhere in the world. So it can call mobiles or landlines around the world.
We created this app to fill a gap between Google Voice and WiFi calling. Since making calls is the only function, this phone call app is much cheaper than skype or viber especially international callings.
And we really need your test for making it perfect.
You can get 10-20 minutes call gift credit if you start with Aicall. We would love your feedback on the app.
Feel free to post your feedback on this thread. I will give away more free calling to interesting feedbacks or comments.
Of course, I would love if you could leave a rating on the Play Store.

Just downloaded it from the playstore yesterday.Good friendly interface with amazing call quality . Before downloading this app Went through all users review and came to know that this is best at it service . people who are using other voip apps should try this once and i guarantee you that you wont regret . ..playstore review is 4.9 !!
Thank you developer for developing a such a wonderful app.
One suggestion for the developer , if its possible just reduce a bit call rate of the international call rate.
Its cheap but we users are always demanding
installed and tested on one plus two. calling to India is fine. voice quality is better than most other services. is it possible to provide unlimited monthly subscription calling to India at the nominal rate. will be useful.

Thanks for your reply!Aicall is new and so far only a few users can experience the high quality of voice. Aicall uses VOIP and VoTune tech not include P2P voice. It's just a phone call tool, calling mobile numbers and landlines. Try it and make some free calls.
Looking forward to your advice!

After I registered, I got ¥ 0.9 credited to my account for which I was able to barely speak for a minute to India. After 1 minute, my balance came down to 0.6 and when I try to call it again, it says that I do not have sufficient balance although as per the rate screen, it is only 0.28 per minute to India. I was unable to test the quality as I spoke for just a minute.
Also, after I installed the update and looked at my phone, I found some folders with junk files.
Lastly, how is this cheaper than skype when this costs ¥ 0.28 (USD 0.04) per minute. Skype charges me USD 0.015 per minute to India.

Call rate may vary country to country. ...
Those files are harmless. ...
AICALL I tried to try it but I like it so far
I called my voice mail and it sounded great but my balance after doing so was less than ¥ 0.5 (2 minutes) when I was expecting a larger balance for a trial as It said on the web site 120 Minutes (For the first time, you can get 120 minutes of free time). and you promised an additional amount in the OP.
I have questions as there are screens on the app (android) such as free charge, my wallet detail are in Chinese but I do not speak/read Chinese.
My voice mail showed the caller as 85265551212 (Hong Kong?) , is it possible to have a US caller ID number?
I am really looking forward to trying this out and giving you relevant feedback.
Thanks , in advance

We really appreciate your feedbacks about the website and the calling rates.
The website is newly translated and there may be much mistakes we didn't notice. Thanks for your advice!
And 0.28 per minute to India is temporarily during testing time. Moreover users can buy ¥100 and get ¥200 to your Aicall accout, about 50% discount.

Good call quality,UI need minor improvements
I'm already using another two apps for the same purpose.
Comparatively aicall has good call quality even in 2G connection.I found no delay in call connection when compare with others.
In the initial stage that's after installation when click on sign-up button in welcome screen it's going to login screen instead of sign-up screen(user need to select again sign-up tab from the right side)

Downloaded and tested the app via calling in usa and India , surprised to see that calling works even on slow connection like less than 1mbps . Will definitely share the app and recommend to friends . Rates are cheaper than any other service provider like skype or Hangouts, very good app .

Shelves is an Android application that manages your collection of apparel, books, gadgets, movies, music, software, tools, toys, and video games from your Android device.
With Shelves, you can add items by scanning their barcodes, through Web searches, entering details manually, or by importing from or exporting to other sources (with full support for Delicious Library). Shelves organizes your collection with sorts, searches, and tags. You can loan items to friends in your contact list, or rate items for your personal use. Additionally, items can be in any language!
It's available for versions of Android 1.5 or higher. The website for the app is here: http://www.shelvesforandroid.com

Just downloaded it to test or out cause I want to keep track of my games and who I lend them to
EDIT insane how useful this is I did a test bulk scan in of about 10 games scanning them in one after another then backed out and it got all the info for them cover art ... Publishers ... Release year ... And in some cases some background info
Sent from my Motorola Droid XPT
Looks great. Can't wait to get into it!
Fantastic app and insanely useful. Now to figure out how to get it to import into Delicious Library 2 properly.
I import but it doesn't import all the data, only some of it. I think it pulls using ASIN data whereas Shelves only provides EAN data. Certainly not a deal breaker, but definitely a hassle.
QR for those that want it
Downloading now, not sure I understand the concept though. Free though, so can't hurt to try it out.
Edit: Doesn't look like an app I'd use, but looks well done when I played with it.

Hmm, you're the second person to say that it doesn't work properly with Delicious Library 2 (the other one was a Market comment). I intentionally extended this to work with DL2. As far as I can tell, DL2 doesn't accept ASIN imports, only EAN/ISBN. If I'm wrong about this let me know. Getting the ASIN as the export isn't impossible...
EDIT: Oh damn...if I make the column heading "amazon link," it populates everything. Let me fix that for the items and I'll push out an upgrade super soon.

I just pushed 2.4.2 right now. It's changed the headers on the Delicious Library exports to "amazon link." Thanks very much for pointing this out. Your ratings can also be imported from Shelves to DL.
Works wonderfully now! Thanks for the quick fix.

Could you give me the barcode number of one or two of those games? I'm honestly surprised that they're not being added, since I reckon they're either from the States, Japan, or another country with PAL support. I am guessing you've tried changing your locale in the Settings menu, too?
But, without a few of the numbers/names, I can't test what's going on.

Okidoki. Let's see here:
Ghostbusters (ps3, PAL = 11719 11885)
Little Big Planet (ps3, PAL = 11719 72515)
And yes, I've changed the locale from US to UK, seeing UK is PAL. If you need more, just yell. And thanks. ;-)
This app is great for keeping track of my stuff. I especially love the google calendar sync for loaning! Honestly, I can't think of anything to add to this app to make it better.

I'm able to somewhat duplicate the problem.
When I tried adding LittleBigPlanet the first time (which I could only find had an EAN of 0711719998853), it also said I already had the item. When I tried immediately after, for a second time, it added successfully. This was with the UK locale as well.
Logcat doesn't provide any help here unfortunately. I'm guessing the request is timing out, then. A few releases back I made adds time out after 90 seconds, after a user complained he waited 10 minute (!) for something to get added. My suggestion to you is to try to add the items on a WiFi connection. Personally I use that myself at home, since I've never been very pleased with Edge results. 3G is pretty good, too.
Let me know if that does anything for you. As a caveat I am also using this site to replicate barcodes: barcodesinc.com/generator/barcode/
PS Can you (or someone out there) "approve" my new user account. I promise I am not a spammer!

Hmm. I've scanned about 10 games I have and none of them are recognised. I always have WiFi on at home. I have to say, product search in the barcode scanner app itself doesn't give any products either. Web search however gave me results.
I've tried several tools like yours before, and none of them were able to use the scanner and inventory my games. I think it has something to do with the Dutch barcodes or something...
About your account: I'm sorry, but i'm unable to "approve" any accounts. The approval is done after a certain amount of postings, as a precaution. These are forumsettings and I'm unable to change them. You'll get more "rights" eventually.

But that would mean that they repackage Dutch products with their own Dutch barcodes--is that the case? Seems like an expensive operation if you ask me...
Not that this helps any but I found an online article about blocked apps (for the HTC Legend) where ZXing is one of them: http://androidheadlines.com/2010/03/dutch-htc-legend-blocking-apps-in-android-market.html (yay I can post URLs!)
i think we got some other barcodes indeed. some of the game Packages are saying Not for Supply in the UK. when i try a game from uk (with no PEGI logo) but the uk rating logo it works perfectly!
got around 160 ps3 games here! Dutch Packages mostly got Dutch text on the back!
That's really wild. I'm scouring Google trying to figure out what benefits repackaging/rebarcoding a product would offer. Protection against privacy? Some EU policy workaround?

Hello everyone! I am the developer of Prepay Widget, a powerful app that allows you to monitor your account balance through USSD requests.
You can find more info about USSD on Wikipedia, but basically these are short, SMS-like messages used by most GSM and some CDMA providers to deliver information
or control account services. The actual information comes to you in the form of popup toasts, which thids app hides and parses into widgets.
You can find the apps landing page on XDA at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12348102
However, i want to stress that its important that we get some device-specific feedback, so please post in this thread if you have issues,
this helps me keep track of bugs and requests better.
You can use the Lite version of the app - it has all the functionality of the full version apart from automatic updates (not really that important imo).
As I haven't got one of these phones in my pocket, I need some testers to track down problems. Please, use this thread to comment or
suggest features. It is my belief that addressing issues is best done individually by phone, so if something doesn't work, let me know and I will fix it ASAP.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.ussd.widget.lite
Debugging:
Please use the "Write to developer" item in the Settings menu to send logs. Enable debugging, reproduce your error and then send the logs.
Make sure you include a description - the more detailed the description the better.
Screens:
Reserved for something?

does this check data usage for how many GB's you use in a month (for those like me that use over 5 GB a month. lol )
Yes, all you need is the right USSD command for your operator... just look for it online and add it in the app!
ill download this later
this is what I've been loking for!

Please don't forget to post your USSD commands!

The app doesn't respond to the returned tests (streak 5). I added (104) to handcent's black list so it didn't pop up and the text is in the messaging inbox, but this app only shows"There is no predefined indicators"
I'm not sue I entirely understand. Could you please reiterate exactly what you set as the dial code, what message was returned and what have handsent and blacklists to do with it?
Thanks for the codes though, ill post them in the library thread

We didn't steal anything.
There have been similar apps for years, including on other platforms. What makes Balanced different is that its better - we have better widgets, better functionality and better support.
Perhaps you should write the people who made pandas vs ninjas and tell them how appauled you are at competitive markets... oh wait, you are the competition!
@ftgg99 this app looks great, i'll give it a try and give you my feedback. Thanks
This looks interesting, does anyone know any ussd codes for Cricket?
Sorry for my English. translate.google.com ... Motorola XT502, Android 2.3.3, does not work. Continuously requires reboot.
Hey how do i add an indicator for a USSD code? I have ATT. when i added the USSD i received texts back and that was it. In the app it says that the codes dont have any indicators. am i missing something?

Hello guys,
I've been struggling at work with claiming the business calls i make from my mobile. It's been a mission to manually print an invoice, highlight the calls on the paper, then even more a nightmare to sum up all the calls i've made from my mobile device. So finally it hit me.. write an android app that can do this.
Took me like 3 months after work hours, but finally got it developed and published. I've managed to get the app to pull the call logs from my phone and then cost them at any fixed rate - per second or per minute. Then added a send/email function that lets me email my boss the business call totals. Yipeee.
If you might also have a need for this, welcome to download this free app from google play. Just search for 'Business Call Claim'.
Anyways, it would be nice if i could get some constructive feedback on the app from you guys. I am also a newbie in java / android development, seriously value your opinions and comments. Let me know if this is of use to anyone but myself.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback! Let's get through it:
@GuilhermeXOT
Dark theme seems to be a popular request, so we'll add one soon.
On deleting or editing accounts: this is the first iteration of the Android app, and it's purpose was to implement some base operations that users do every day, like adding transactions or checking the accounts balances. For the less frequent operations you can use Finance41.com from your desktop browser. You'll have there full control. And we'll surely add these features in the next releases of the Android app also.

Looks gorgeous. But please post a download link, I had to manually search for it in the Play Store.

Thanks! Unfortunately we're new to XDA so we were unable to post external links, sorry.
@suku_patel_22
We've spoken on email, thanks again for the feedback.
Expense categories are created using tags. You can budget tags (from the web app for now).
The account balances widget is a great idea and we'll implement it soon.
Thanks again guys for the kind words and feedback and hope to hear more about your experience with the app.
The web-app doesn't work on IE.
Having 2 date pickers makes the UI look cluttered. Let the user choose which type of date picker he wants in settings. Also add year to the spinner.
The dark theme should be selectable on setting as well.
Add charts as a tab not as a menu item.

In account balance the credit is rounded, while the -ve numbers are not rounded. Ex if I have a balance of 532.89 it shows 533. But if I have a balance of -532.78, it shows -532.78. The amount should not be rounded in all cases.
This is applicable for the android app only. The web app shows proper value.
Also please have a all accounts total on the android app, similar to Web app.
Why don't we use the android keyboard for entering numbers?

Hi,
Yes you're right, we shouldn't round the balances. And we will add the total balance.
We've got your emails and we're going through them.
Thanks for the Play Store review!

Really liked the dark theme! Thanks!
May I suggest a simple 4 or 6 numbers password feature.
I know that we already have the account login but it's not optional and if I want to secure my data I need to log in and out everytime I launch the app. With a 4 digit pw I could easily turn the feature on if I need more security.
EDIT:
Here's a mockup of what I have in mind:
I don't know if it's possible but on my bank's ATM you have to enter the password in a similar keyboard, this way even if someone is watching you type your pw the person won't be able to tell what it is. Also it's better than the tiny numbers on Android's qwerty keyboard (I guess that if you set a "field" as password it won't let you use the numeric keyboard to fill it, right?)
Also the numbers in each button are displayed in crescent order (my mistake on 3 - 0) so it's easier to find them and they change each time you launch the app.
Please keep this in mind: I know that it's really hard to develop apps and I don't have a clue if what I'm asking is even possible. All I'm doing is trying to help!

Password
Hi,
Thank for the feedback!
That's a really interesting pin system, we've never heard of it. It sounds effective.
When we sat down and thought the app through, a pin protection feature was put on the table. But as we talked about it, we realized that the phone is something personal, much more than a desktop or a laptop. People don't share phones. There is of course the case of someone taking your phone and invading your privacy, but then a pin or pattern lock should be installed for the whole phone. If you have nosy friends, you want to protect your messages, your contacts, pretty much everything, not just Finance41. So we decided not to implement a pin lock for the app.
Of course, if the request is getting popular, we'll have to do it, users know best. But until then, we'll spend our efforts on other user-requested features.
Thanks again for the feedback and the beautiful mockup, and hope to hear more from you.
Cheers!

I guess you have a pretty good point there about the phone being a personal thing but that's why I think that this function should be something that people can turn on and off.
Just to clarify my point: the thing that concerns me is that even tough it's my phone and I'm the one who uses it the most sometimes friends and family asks to play with it and that's when I get a little concerned. I know that I should not handle my phone to people I don't trust but sometimes someone you don't know that well asks to play a game or check something online and it's kinda hard to say no to something that "silly", in this case this extra level of security can come in handy.
Anyway, you should wait for more users to give feedback about this matter
Thanks for the quick response and keep up the good work!
Actually that would be a good idea to have.

Yep I think for personal reasons (dollars and cents are involved), it ensures security when other people handles our phones, I for one vote for having security measures like "pin, pattern etc".
Oh and btw I've another suggestion, I replied to your email a while ago but just thought of this idea. I know we can actually set fixed monthly bills like "insurance, car payments etc" on certain dates, but is it possible to allow us to confirm the date that the payment has been deducted? Like a prompt to confirm on the date it has been deducted on, I know we can just change the date but it's a small request haha, cause sometimes the deduction/income might fall on weekends so the date might not be accurate.
Hope to see more features implemented for this great app, have been using it for a few weeks now and really love it!!
Confirm transactions
Hi,
The pin security well get done, but let's talk about confirming transactions.
When you add a transaction, especially on recurrent transactions like rent or electricity bill, you want Finance41 to remind you to pay that bill. So you mark that transaction as "Must be confirmed when done" (in the web app).
On Finance41.com, when the day you've set for that transaction comes, the transaction becomes red and stays on top.
Now, for the Android app, we're released an update today for this: overdue transactions are marked in red and you can confirm them. Also you're reminded to pay them.
So give it a try, it should be very useful, it's something we wanted really bad, it makes our life much easier.
Cheers!

Hello,
We have just released Aicall V2.0.1.
The app uses VoTune tech to place calls anywhere in the world. Aicall provides the HD voice when calling mobiles or landlines around the world
We created this app to fill a gap between Google Voice and WiFi calling. Since making calls is the only function, Aicall is much cheaper than Skype and viber especially international callings.
We really need your test for making it perfect. You can get 10-20 minutes call gift credit if you start with Aicall.
We would love your feedback on the app.
Feel free to post your feedback on this thread. I will give away 1 more free calling to interesting feedbacks or comments.
Of course, I would love if you could leave a rating on the Play Store.
