Shelves is an Android application that manages your collection of apparel, books, gadgets, movies, music, software, tools, toys, and video games from your Android device.
With Shelves, you can add items by scanning their barcodes, through Web searches, entering details manually, or by importing from or exporting to other sources (with full support for Delicious Library). Shelves organizes your collection with sorts, searches, and tags. You can loan items to friends in your contact list, or rate items for your personal use. Additionally, items can be in any language!
It's available for versions of Android 1.5 or higher. The website for the app is here: http://www.shelvesforandroid.com

Feel free to ask me any question or make suggestions!
Just downloaded it to test or out cause I want to keep track of my games and who I lend them to
EDIT insane how useful this is I did a test bulk scan in of about 10 games scanning them in one after another then backed out and it got all the info for them cover art ... Publishers ... Release year ... And in some cases some background info
Sent from my Motorola Droid XPT
Looks great. Can't wait to get into it!
Fantastic app and insanely useful. Now to figure out how to get it to import into Delicious Library 2 properly.
I import but it doesn't import all the data, only some of it. I think it pulls using ASIN data whereas Shelves only provides EAN data. Certainly not a deal breaker, but definitely a hassle.
QR for those that want it
Downloading now, not sure I understand the concept though. Free though, so can't hurt to try it out.
Edit: Doesn't look like an app I'd use, but looks well done when I played with it.

Hmm, you're the second person to say that it doesn't work properly with Delicious Library 2 (the other one was a Market comment). I intentionally extended this to work with DL2. As far as I can tell, DL2 doesn't accept ASIN imports, only EAN/ISBN. If I'm wrong about this let me know. Getting the ASIN as the export isn't impossible...
EDIT: Oh damn...if I make the column heading "amazon link," it populates everything. Let me fix that for the items and I'll push out an upgrade super soon.

I just pushed 2.4.2 right now. It's changed the headers on the Delicious Library exports to "amazon link." Thanks very much for pointing this out. Your ratings can also be imported from Shelves to DL.
Works wonderfully now! Thanks for the quick fix.
Could you add Dutch support? I've got around 60+ PS3 games and I lend them out on a regular basis. But once I scan them your app says I might already have them and it adds 0.
Thanks.

Could you give me the barcode number of one or two of those games? I'm honestly surprised that they're not being added, since I reckon they're either from the States, Japan, or another country with PAL support. I am guessing you've tried changing your locale in the Settings menu, too?
But, without a few of the numbers/names, I can't test what's going on.
Brilliant app gjtorikian. I love Delicious Library on Mac.
This is one app I will be recommending to people. Thankyou.

Okidoki. Let's see here:
Ghostbusters (ps3, PAL = 11719 11885)
Little Big Planet (ps3, PAL = 11719 72515)
And yes, I've changed the locale from US to UK, seeing UK is PAL. If you need more, just yell. And thanks. ;-)
This app is great for keeping track of my stuff. I especially love the google calendar sync for loaning! Honestly, I can't think of anything to add to this app to make it better.

I'm able to somewhat duplicate the problem.
When I tried adding LittleBigPlanet the first time (which I could only find had an EAN of 0711719998853), it also said I already had the item. When I tried immediately after, for a second time, it added successfully. This was with the UK locale as well.
Logcat doesn't provide any help here unfortunately. I'm guessing the request is timing out, then. A few releases back I made adds time out after 90 seconds, after a user complained he waited 10 minute (!) for something to get added. My suggestion to you is to try to add the items on a WiFi connection. Personally I use that myself at home, since I've never been very pleased with Edge results. 3G is pretty good, too.
Let me know if that does anything for you. As a caveat I am also using this site to replicate barcodes: barcodesinc.com/generator/barcode/
PS Can you (or someone out there) "approve" my new user account. I promise I am not a spammer!

Hmm. I've scanned about 10 games I have and none of them are recognised. I always have WiFi on at home. I have to say, product search in the barcode scanner app itself doesn't give any products either. Web search however gave me results.
I've tried several tools like yours before, and none of them were able to use the scanner and inventory my games. I think it has something to do with the Dutch barcodes or something...
About your account: I'm sorry, but i'm unable to "approve" any accounts. The approval is done after a certain amount of postings, as a precaution. These are forumsettings and I'm unable to change them. You'll get more "rights" eventually.

But that would mean that they repackage Dutch products with their own Dutch barcodes--is that the case? Seems like an expensive operation if you ask me...
Not that this helps any but I found an online article about blocked apps (for the HTC Legend) where ZXing is one of them: http://androidheadlines.com/2010/03/dutch-htc-legend-blocking-apps-in-android-market.html (yay I can post URLs!)
i think we got some other barcodes indeed. some of the game Packages are saying Not for Supply in the UK. when i try a game from uk (with no PEGI logo) but the uk rating logo it works perfectly!
got around 160 ps3 games here! Dutch Packages mostly got Dutch text on the back!
That's really wild. I'm scouring Google trying to figure out what benefits repackaging/rebarcoding a product would offer. Protection against privacy? Some EU policy workaround?

Works pretty well, videos not fitting the entire screen, episode selection is a good start. I appreciate your work making this happen and I'll stick around. Donations coming your way when my PayPal or gcheckout get up and running.

Its not centered full screen, I will try to fix that in the next update!
Donations are VERY appreciated because I must pay the server fee soon (and it's not free!)
Thanks for the app. If I were you, I would go the ad route, then just ask people to click on the banner to help you out. Keep the donate button there in case people want to give more, but clicking on a banner is easier.
You might not want to answer this, but are you hosting the videos or are you linking to them via your own server and sending the users to where the streams are?
Works great.

Yeah but the thing is that I don't want ads in the app!
The answer on your question is in the first post.
"The TV-shows and movies are collected from youtube and other sites, so this app is fully legit!"
And by other sites there is not any from the Karlzzonz community.

Great app! Works well on my hero with just 3g too!
OG Droid: Bugless 0.6.1
Running great! Streams are smooth no lag or anything I can tell using 3g. Like someone else said picture is left aligned. Also if I slide open the keyboard it freaks it out some but if I slide it back in it resumes right where it was! Only thing this needs to be great is option to zoom but other than that amazing app! Can't wait for full version to come out.
Great App!

Yeah, still is not centered full screen, but I will fix that in a update. I also have a slider (or pop-out, I have a Desire Z) so I know the problem.
I don't want to discourage you but unless you are streaming from the original source, the videos you are linking to are extremely likely to be in violation of copyright statute in the U.S. at least. Even if you are streaming from the original source many of the videos being offered are questionable.
Taking Avatar, Iron Man, and Iron Man 2 as examples; there is no "free" source for streaming of these movies legally in the U.S. that I am aware of. Nor is there likely to be one at this stage given their age and success in the Box Office.
I believe your motives are good and have faith that you most likely believe that the copying and redistribution are legal. With that said, you might want to prepare yourself with a better defense than the fact they are available at youtube and "other sites."
Again let me stress that I am not trying to spoil the party so to speak. But be prepared to offer a better explanation once someone "in power" notices this fine application.
Nice app man! It works beautifully on both wifi and 3G..it just takes about 10 seconds longer to load the video on 3G. I can't wait until this app is out of beta. Planning to donate....Happy New Year!

I see. I better remove the web. But if I stream from another server it's legal? Thats why many streaming sites are still alive And if, we say FOX had a .mp4 that was "safe for streaming" for every episode that would be awesome!

I am not suggesting removing the web. I am not even suggesting removing the application. What I am suggesting is that your defense and assertion that the streams are legal is not backed by any evidence and most evidence points to the contrary.
Fox does indeed stream many shows directly from their website (including the Simpsons). I don't know the TOS for these streams nor do I care. You however might be better off checking though.
Heck point out the streaming site for Avatar and Iron Man. If it is a legal site I would be interested to see what else they have.
EDIT: Hot linking to illegal material is a grey area but most rights holders fall on the side of a violation of their IP. Do what you like; Saying that it is legal though is questionable at best.
I love this app!!
Thank you for making this.. Can you add a section for a custom path? Like for your own network? Like smb or ftp or something?? support for icefilms.info would be crunk
Damn only 2 pages? this app needs and deserves more love. it's great.. unfortunately it doesnt completely take advantage of my screen ( about a half inch of unused space left) but oh well, its still pretty good.

Fox is blocked outside the U.S. (can't watch anything, that sucks) maybe thats why there is a lot o streaming sites out there? And i don't think there is a .mp4 file that is suitable for android behind this.
I don't think that the site that has the movies i Legal, and I want to protect it so I wont link it here.
And I'm not so into this with laws. But what is the Internet for right?

very nice idea , if there were something like this but to mke a music player that would be great ....i dont use the browser on my phone much
what other apps would you like to customize? music player and??
Won't it be possible for people to make their own browser and sell it? They could just edit out anything that mentions Maxthon...

This is good, but it also means the Market is going to get flooded with themed Maxthon browsers.

This is neat. I just nicked an icon off Google, as well as a wallpaper, which I added text to in MS Paint. I call my browser "Reality Web".
Does anybody have any opinions on the Maxthon browser itself?
//edit: I actually like the browser. It's faster than Opera Mobile. That isn't saying much, Opera is not a fast browser. It just does a lot and doesn't have many faults.
Some pictures won't load. This could contribute to the speed. I opened a 4chan board, which is a good test because the captcha usually screws up most mobile browsers. They just hang until it loads, then the whole page displays at once. It's a good benchmark. Surprisingly, my customized Maxthon just loaded it all up, and quick, including all the images. I was impressed. Next I went to How-To Geek. Some image thumbnails from articles did not load.
The browser has a lot of options. If you were on the fence about themes, you can actually download the others, so you can switch that. You can also change the home page. The customized browser is 2.21MB, though that may depend on the splash screen. I just used a JPEG; a PNG might make it bigger. But back to the options, you have your user agent changer, a privacy mode, the usual stuff, and even gestures (which I hate, but some like, and I still regard it as an advanced feature).
Couple gripes: 1, closing the last tab doesn't open Home, it opens this quick access tab, like Opera's speed dial, or Chrome's. There are a couple entries that don't need to be there, but that's also true for Opera. 2, hitting Home opens it in a new tab, not the current one.
All in all I like it, and I may set it as my default, primarily so when other apps (e.g. Facebook or baconreader, the Reddit app I use) call the browser, they call a fast one. At the very least, this is a decent browser worth your consideration. That you can customize it is just icing on the cake.

I wouldn't worry about that. I don't think it's free to put something on the Market. Besides, free software being resold or with ads tacked on tends to get blasted pretty hard in the comments. And if Maxthon cares that people are selling these, they have recourse, I'm sure. I don't think your concern is without warrant, but it doesn't really concern me.

Wow, my first post to this amazing forum!
BYB . . . Before I download this could I just qualify its limitation(s)? I'm looking for something that is (not to put it too mildly) um . . . ambitious.
I'm on a nice, meaty Lenovo Ideapad K1 ten-incher (no jokes now!! lol) and I'm specifically looking for a means by which to hard code into the menu bar itself buttons for the following four vertical navigation operations:
PGDN
PGUP
HOME
END
I don't even know if this can be done what the hell, I can ask, eh? Why do I want these buttons? For seamless, non-intrusive HTML ARTICLE READING without the crude finger swiping that is a huge interruption to my reading (any) HTML page by virtue of the fact that I'm endlessly positioning, trying to land precisely one screen lower to make the maximum use of my 10" screen.
What I'm describing is a feature best implemented for tablets, I'll be the first to admit -- a true, dedicated "HTML READER'S BROWSER" with no keyboard interaction required to obtain precise vertical PAGE SCROLLING.
Can your App be outfitted with something this ambitious do you think? or should I just continue to wait until some kind soul -- a reader, like myself -- discovers that he's wasting untold hours sweeping his New York Times pages just to position his scrollbar?
And thank you in any event for a wonderful concept!

Finance41 is a great personal finance app that keeps track of your spending, income and savings. Refreshingly simple, quick and easy to use.
You can use it offline, it will sync online automatically when possible.
The "Add Transaction" widget makes inserting transactions fast and easy.
Note: this is not a stand alone app, it is backed up by Finance41.com. All financial information is synchronized online, and can be accessed from your computer's browser, providing the bigger picture.
Money is kind of important, it should be monitored.
Finance41 helps you:
- keep track of your money,
- manage your expenses, income and transfers from one account to another
- see your accounts balances
- set budgets
The app is designed to be extremely simple, easier to use than an Excel spreadsheet, but also very powerful.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback! Let's get through it:
@GuilhermeXOT
Dark theme seems to be a popular request, so we'll add one soon.
On deleting or editing accounts: this is the first iteration of the Android app, and it's purpose was to implement some base operations that users do every day, like adding transactions or checking the accounts balances. For the less frequent operations you can use Finance41.com from your desktop browser. You'll have there full control. And we'll surely add these features in the next releases of the Android app also.

Thanks! Unfortunately we're new to XDA so we were unable to post external links, sorry.
@suku_patel_22
We've spoken on email, thanks again for the feedback.
Expense categories are created using tags. You can budget tags (from the web app for now).
The account balances widget is a great idea and we'll implement it soon.
Thanks again guys for the kind words and feedback and hope to hear more about your experience with the app.
The web-app doesn't work on IE.
Having 2 date pickers makes the UI look cluttered. Let the user choose which type of date picker he wants in settings. Also add year to the spinner.
The dark theme should be selectable on setting as well.
Add charts as a tab not as a menu item.

In account balance the credit is rounded, while the -ve numbers are not rounded. Ex if I have a balance of 532.89 it shows 533. But if I have a balance of -532.78, it shows -532.78. The amount should not be rounded in all cases.
This is applicable for the android app only. The web app shows proper value.
Also please have a all accounts total on the android app, similar to Web app.
Why don't we use the android keyboard for entering numbers?
Tapatalked from Desire S running Andromadus
Hi,
Yes you're right, we shouldn't round the balances. And we will add the total balance.
We've got your emails and we're going through them.
Thanks for the Play Store review!

May I suggest a simple 4 or 6 numbers password feature.
I know that we already have the account login but it's not optional and if I want to secure my data I need to log in and out everytime I launch the app. With a 4 digit pw I could easily turn the feature on if I need more security.
EDIT:
Here's a mockup of what I have in mind:
I don't know if it's possible but on my bank's ATM you have to enter the password in a similar keyboard, this way even if someone is watching you type your pw the person won't be able to tell what it is. Also it's better than the tiny numbers on Android's qwerty keyboard (I guess that if you set a "field" as password it won't let you use the numeric keyboard to fill it, right?)
Also the numbers in each button are displayed in crescent order (my mistake on 3 - 0) so it's easier to find them and they change each time you launch the app.
Please keep this in mind: I know that it's really hard to develop apps and I don't have a clue if what I'm asking is even possible. All I'm doing is trying to help!

Password
Hi,
Thank for the feedback!
That's a really interesting pin system, we've never heard of it. It sounds effective.
When we sat down and thought the app through, a pin protection feature was put on the table. But as we talked about it, we realized that the phone is something personal, much more than a desktop or a laptop. People don't share phones. There is of course the case of someone taking your phone and invading your privacy, but then a pin or pattern lock should be installed for the whole phone. If you have nosy friends, you want to protect your messages, your contacts, pretty much everything, not just Finance41. So we decided not to implement a pin lock for the app.
Of course, if the request is getting popular, we'll have to do it, users know best. But until then, we'll spend our efforts on other user-requested features.
Thanks again for the feedback and the beautiful mockup, and hope to hear more from you.
Cheers!

I guess you have a pretty good point there about the phone being a personal thing but that's why I think that this function should be something that people can turn on and off.
Just to clarify my point: the thing that concerns me is that even tough it's my phone and I'm the one who uses it the most sometimes friends and family asks to play with it and that's when I get a little concerned. I know that I should not handle my phone to people I don't trust but sometimes someone you don't know that well asks to play a game or check something online and it's kinda hard to say no to something that "silly", in this case this extra level of security can come in handy.
Anyway, you should wait for more users to give feedback about this matter
Thanks for the quick response and keep up the good work!
Actually that would be a good idea to have.

Yep I think for personal reasons (dollars and cents are involved), it ensures security when other people handles our phones, I for one vote for having security measures like "pin, pattern etc".
Oh and btw I've another suggestion, I replied to your email a while ago but just thought of this idea. I know we can actually set fixed monthly bills like "insurance, car payments etc" on certain dates, but is it possible to allow us to confirm the date that the payment has been deducted? Like a prompt to confirm on the date it has been deducted on, I know we can just change the date but it's a small request haha, cause sometimes the deduction/income might fall on weekends so the date might not be accurate.
Hope to see more features implemented for this great app, have been using it for a few weeks now and really love it!!
Confirm transactions
Hi,
The pin security well get done, but let's talk about confirming transactions.
When you add a transaction, especially on recurrent transactions like rent or electricity bill, you want Finance41 to remind you to pay that bill. So you mark that transaction as "Must be confirmed when done" (in the web app).
On Finance41.com, when the day you've set for that transaction comes, the transaction becomes red and stays on top.
Now, for the Android app, we're released an update today for this: overdue transactions are marked in red and you can confirm them. Also you're reminded to pay them.
So give it a try, it should be very useful, it's something we wanted really bad, it makes our life much easier.
Cheers!

If you like to travel and don't have unlimited supply of money this app will help you a lot. Make trip budget plans and track trip expenses in the most fast, easy and stylish way.
For the most fast planning new trip budgets the expenses are divided into categories to be added as quickly as possible. You can create several versions of the same trip and compare final estimated values. After planning you can switch from plan mode into spending mode and log actual trip expenses. You can compare the final trip budget cost with the plan at any moment and access full statistics for each trip expense category.
The app automatically converts expense values into base currency using public rates from open sources (like European Central Bank, etc) which are updated every day (internet connection is required). You can also set your fixed currency rates for each trip budget.
When you travel TripBudget uses GPS to track expense locations. When you enter money amount you can also set discounts and taxes. If you travel with friends you can enter information about expense sharing.
Incoming updates will also provide cloud synchronisation of trip budgets across your devices (including iOS client, which is coming soon).
Supported languages at the moment: English, Russian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian
If anybody want to help with translating interface to one of the following languages [ Bulgarian, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese ] - there is web interface for easy and fast translation here: http://vitiy.info/localization/tripbudget/

Could you implement the ability to snap receipts in each category? I don't take trips like this app is designed for. But I travel for work. And it would be great to use this as an expense tracker and logger. If, you do add the ability to snap pictures of receipts. Could you make it work like the app Handy Scanner? By the way, this app has been designed excellently. Thank you.

Yes, the pictures are in plans - as ability to attach picture to any expense. I will try to check out this app you mentioned to get some hints. Thanks for your suggestions.
keyboard
I'll try it for my next trip but I already have a few questions :
Why did you implement a keyboard in the app ? I'm too used to swiftkey to use anything else (and I'm used to AZERTY not QWERTY so mistakes are guaranteed)
Is it possible to remove a trip ?
The transparency creates a great WOW effect but dometime it is not very clear what is in the interface and what is in the background.
Because of the keyboard I created a trip without name, now the buttons to list trips and edit trip are not available anymore.
The currency screen can be greatly improved, I think 2 lists might help. 1 list of currencies (full name and short name) and one list of countries (I have no idea of the short name of the currency in Hungary for example). A search field can be helpfull too.
I'm already trying the planning part and see how well I manage to stay in budget ^^

Thanks a lot for your suggestions - they are very valuable.
Keyboard, as it implemented now comes as part of my cross-platform engine - but, probably, i will attach standard keyboard soon as you are not the first who talks about this problem.
Removing trip is not yet possible - but i will add this function for sure. It will be possible from long touch in the list of trips (with confirmation) i suppose.
I will look into the problem with empty trip name. I expect it to be fixed easy.
About currencies - you are right about the need of country name there as hint. And its important to make usage as fast as possible. Also not all currencies are supported yet - only the public list from European central bank. Im in search of good public data for additional currencies.
Awsome design!!!
Vitiy, thank you for your prompt response in the Play Store. I am really enjoying this app and the potential it has. I also bumped up my rating in the store, because it is obvious that you are pouring yourself into the app and you are very proactive in addressing feedback. That is a great sign for the future of TripBudget!
I agree with the comments of @Jaytronics and @supermamie and was glad to see you address those comments. As far as my comments in the Play store, I am basically in the same boat as these two commenters, considering using this for both work and personal travel. The "reports" I mentioned really comes down to a way of either downloading, printing or exporting the data that you are already gathering with the app. It would be a shame to put in all of the budget and actual info and then have it locked away in the app.
That would go along with @Jaytronics point about the receipt captures. On a side note, and I am not a dev (at least not a good one), so I don't know the logisitics/challenges of OCR, but things like Neat Receipt and Evernote that integrate OCR are incredibly useful and productive tools. Perhaps you could consider that as a longterm idea. It would certainly take your app beyond anything that is out now.
As far as the "Fact" vs. "Actual" I see your point. Still, I think "Fact" is an odd label. Perhaps "Real" or "True" as in "real costs" or "true costs", which are recognized and common financial descriptions?
I'm sure you have a vision so my input is more ideas than requests. I know my ideas may not fit in with your vision and the app is already great. If you do plan on implementing an "expense" aspect to the app, there are plenty of examples out there, but one I have been using since 2008 or so is Xpenser. It is one of the more unique models, that I originally used on a Blackberry before anything else really existed. Worth looking at.

Thanks for your thoughts!
I thought about making reports visible through some web interface later (after cloud synchronisation will be implemented).
OCR would be nice indeed. Cant say anything about recognition libs yet, but its sure have to be included in longterm plans.
'Real' was my first variant, but my friend told me that Fact should be use instead because he saw it inside some Microsoft app Should i switch it back? Even more problems will arise when there will be more translations - and there will be no short words at all... I plan to make online translation service (as i made for my another application - http://vitiy.info/public-localizator-web-service-for-online-localization-of-applications/) to translate the app to wide variety of languages.
I will try to get as much useful features as possible from that app you mentioned, as it looks like old project with big budget. I will not create client for blackberry in near future (not sure i will make my engine to support this platform at all as their sells fall rapidly)
Thanks for your suggestions again

Again, thanks for a prompt reply, it is impressive.
I agree with your thinking regarding the reports, it will be a good addition and much more logical after you have finished the cloud implementation.
The OCR is really a wish list item, but if you can make it happen at some point, and make it work well unlike most other apps, your app would be hard to beat.
The Real, True, Actual label thing is just personal preference. I think you should go with what you feel comfortable with and the users can adapt. I will say however that these three terms are far more common in relation to costs/budget/etc. in the business world than Fact, which I've actually never seen used relative to an expense sheet or budget. Again, I think this comes down to your perogative.
The Xpenser app is as you mentioned a very mature product. It was actually 2008 that I started using it not 2003, but still it's been around awhile. I was definitely not recommending any development for Blackberry, just mentioning how far ahead of the game Xpenser was, having a mobile expense tracker before iOS or Android had any market penetration. It is really just a great example of simplicity married with functionality and might give you some ideas on various methods/opportunities for data gathering and input.
Anyway, I am going to use TripBudget over the next few weeks and see how it works for real world trips and planning. Best of luck!

About OCR - right, the main problem is to make it work well.
I will write about the list of ideas i might borrow from Xpenser when ill finish exploring it.
Please write any ideas which will come up while you will use the app in real situations. Im sure there will be a lot of things to add/fix.

Hi,
Nice app! Easy to use and has wonderful a UI.
Minor issue: No way to edit the planned time and actual time it happened? Anyway, will it be possible to have a time-based budgeting? It will be easier, at least for me, to edit expenses. For example,
7:00-8:00 Breakfast @ restaurant A (20 USD)
8:00-12:00 Island hopping (99 USD)
> boat fee from island A to B (20 USD)
> boat fee from island B to C (20 USD)
> boat fee from island C to D (20 USD)
> boat fee from island D to A (30 USD)
> tip (9 USD)
"Meal" is more generalized than Dinner.
There are other public vehicles here like jeepney, tricycle, and pedicab especially in rural areas ^_^ An additional means transport "Other" will be more apt, in my opinion. OR Land / Air / Water then a list of every means of public transport possible for each category.
And also, a weather forecast from forecast.io for the destination+specified travel date+a day before and after the trip will be handy. For example,
destination: Tokyo
travel date: Jan 2-5 2015
weather forecast: Jan 1-6 2015
Maybe it is too much to ask. I should start looking for a trip organizer to fully track the trip rather than a trip budgeting app But yours is the best looking one. You couldn't blame me for trying

Thanks a lot for your attention and suggestions.
There is very thin line between trip organizer and expense logger, especially when logger has strong 'plan' part. So i will add as many organizer features as i can while maintaining simplicity of the application.
Surely, the ability to change date of expense will be added (as its not a big problem to implement).
About the mode when you have some kind of timetable - i have to think how its possible to integrate it. Any suggestions are welcome on that part.
About 'Meal' - may be good word. May be to add restaurant / cafe. As for transport - may be ability to add custom categories would be nice (but im not sure what to do with icons yet).
Forecast is possible feature to add - but im not sure where to place it. And what to do if your trip contains several places?
Great looking app.
It would be great if you could add the following two features:
A) Sum all trips to show total spent and budgeted
i.e. I'm budgeting a multiple city holiday, with a total overall budget I'd like to track.
If the "The LIST OF TRIPS" page had a sum at the bottom for plan and Fact for each of the holidays would be perfect.
B) Also the ability to enter my own FX rates for the currency exchange.. i.e. the market rate isn't what I paid so the conversion to my local currency is to high or low...
Keep up the good work.

The Your Grocery List app is available in the Gear app store! Install it from the Gear app on your phone, enter your email address and PW to sign into your Our Groceries account on the watch, and start shopping! Thank you, Christoff!
Requires an account w/Our Groceries. Does not require the Our Groceries app on your phone, but that is highly recommended (it's simply a great shopping list app - once you/your family start using it you'll wonder how you got by without it).
You can create your Our Groceries account from the Our Groceries app on the phone, or at www.ourgroceries.com.
This is a community developed app, Christoff (developer) contacted Our Groceries and they were supportive of him releasing it.
Currently the app does not have "push" auto-sync w/the Our Groceries server, so use the Refresh button in the app to update before shopping (in case changes have been made to the shopping list from another client). All changes on the watch to your shopping lists are immediately sync'd w/the Our Groceries server. Christoff is investigating auto-sync from the server to the watch.
Old:
Any enterprising developers who also have to go shopping for groceries (100% of you!) - you could look into the Our Groceries app!
It's probably the best shopping list app available on Android (nearly instant sync across multiple devices, extremely flexible list management, super easy to use UI, regular maintenance and updates from developer, etc.
Would be great to have a Tizen client to view current list of items and check off as purchased from the watch.
Willing to provide beer money to help get this started.
UPDATE: Member cm_walkaround has started working on a native app solution for Our Groceries sync. See this post (#6).
UPDATE 2 WOOT! Christoff just announced that he released the app to the Gear store today (Feb 21) in this post (#9). It will take several days to a week for Samsung to review and approve it. They control the final actual release of the app in the Gear watch store, so hopefully they will complete their review promptly.
The app is called Your Grocery List. (Christof did not call it "Our Groceries" to avoid confusion about the source of the app).
Thanks (mine and all other Our Grocery users) for looking into this!
I too have been looking for something, and would really like it to sync with Google Tasks since that is what I'm presently using for my grocery list and use GTasks on my phone.
I tried the My Tasks companion app with sister android app which syncs with Google Tasks, but it's terrible on the S3. The font is way too big, and it shows you all the items in the list even when and after they are checked off so you have to scroll and scroll through the lists. Hopefully the developer will decide to change it.
If not, I'm looking for something that will only show the items on the list that are not checked off so you can maintain a large list of grocery items and uncheck only the items you need before you go to the store so the watch only displays the unchecked items.

Our groceries.. Ditto
So until something native arrives, this is an option, and it works surprisingly well.
Get Wearable widgets app on your watch, and companion app on your phone and complete setup and choose the widgets you want to see on your phone.
Launch the Wearable Widgets app from your watch, and scroll to the widget you want to see (from the ones you selected on your phone).
Viewing the Our Groceries widget via Wearable Widgets on your watch you can:
- Scroll the groceries list up and down
- Tap items to mark them purchased
- Tap them again to return them to your shopping list
The interaction is very much like the one on the phone, surprisingly good, actually. You can add each of your lists to your phone - just set them up in the Wearable Widgets app and they will show up in the phone.

Just started..
Hi folks,
just started to code a client for ourgroceries on the S3 (just asked OurGroceries if its ok for them to use the name in the app.. lets see).
Still need to implement a store for the credentials, but apart from that the minimal version is almost finished. "Features" are:
- show all lists -> select a list (also with bezel-scroll)
- show all items of selected list -> tap to cross off
For now, I am not displaying crossed off items at all (="shopping" use-case). But I plan to extend that asap.
I hope to get this minimal thing working by the end of the week and hope, ourgroceries is positive about my request.
Best

OH MY GOODNESS!
Thanks very much for working on this - will be very appreciated!!
Can you also support swipe to change lists (I find that swiping left/right is often easier than using the bezel, depending on what I'm doing).
The Our Groceries folks are nice, my interactions w/them have been very positive. If you haven't seen it, here's what they are saying about device support in their current FAQ...Gear doesn't even register. I expect (hope) that they would be happy for you to extend their ecosystem.

Will you support Microsoft Windows Phones, Apple Watch, Google Home, Google Now, Siri, or IFTTT?
While we do not currently support Windows Phone devices, we are watching the market share numbers. When the mobile platform becomes popular enough, we will likely create an OurGroceries app for it.
We are evaluating whether our users find OurGroceries useful on Android Wear devices. Depending on what we find, we’ll decide whether to support the Apple Watch.
We are actively investigating Google Home integration.
Google Now and Siri do not currently provide a way for us to integrate with them.
IFTTT charges $3000 per year for integration, and we do not currently think that we would make that back in additional revenue.

Great News and thanks!
Submitted
Hi folks,
the developer gave me a positive feedback and I finished & submitted the app to the store.
I also noted in the app-description, that I am a private developer and not in any way related to the OurGroceries-service.
It should take some days for the review process, but I hope it goes through.
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll upgrade the app from time to time (I do this in my free-time which is needed for other things for now).
Would be happy if you leave feedback here or in the app store.
Best

Wow, Christoff, you didn't even give us time to start pestering you for a release date! This has to be the fastest move from announce to 1.0 release I can remember seeing. Thanks very much for submitting to the store, I'll be hitting "Refresh" on the Gear app store every hour or so for the next few days.
Will definitely provide feedback once it's available. Thanks for providing this - closes a key gap in the watch's capabilities.

Thanks Redflea - I hope the quality is acceptable (I also really needed this app.. ).
Testing time was quite short, so maybe its more a 0.1-release.. however, everything seems to work.
See u!
Christof
p.s. the name of the app is "Your grocery list" (I wanted to prevent misunderstandings that this app could be made by the service-providers), but noted "OurGroceries" in the description, so I hope its find-able.

Sounds good - don't worry, I'm sure any issues will be ironed out over time (as you have time).
Thanks for the info on the name - I'll be looking for it on the Gear App store over the next few days, hopefully Samsung will release it quickly.
Hi again,
just to shorten your waiting time, I've some screenshots for you.
Registration might need some additional days..

This is fantastic!
I use Our Groceries quite a lot, so having it on the watch will be so handy!!
I'll definitely grab this once it's on the store and give it a try! :good:

Yippee! Thanks for the pics.
LOL...I go into the Gear app store and search on "Grocery" twice a day now. I'm going to have a big impact on their search metrics.
Well, thanks for your efforts, but I just tried out the parent OurGroceries app and it is way too weak for me. So I'll still be looking for something better than OurGroceries, but thanks anyway.

@DaWeav: Just curious: what features are you missing? @all: app is now available in store.
I uploaded an update today which needs another 4 days for validation.
It includes:
- swipe left/right to toggle between active/crossed off list.
- in the list of crossed off items: insert filter string to quickly find items
- if the filter string is not already existing in the list, you can add it as a new item.
- minor bug fixes
Next update will be about porting the app to other tizen watches.

First, when I tried to migrate my current shopping list and import that list into OurGroceries, they manipulated the imported data and sorted it alphabetically.
I have my master shopping list in the order I 'walkthrough' the store, so now everything was all over the place on the list. I really don't need Zuccinni at the bottom of the list since it's in the produce area which is fhe first thing I see when entering the store. Anyway, I'll give them a bit of credit as they do have 'Categories'. So, I took the time to create 16 or so Categories for food items, and took the time to place my 100s of items in their proper 'store-order' (walkthrough) categories.
But, then I ran into a major second problem with my Ourgroceries master shopping list.
Now that I had all the shopping items on the list in their proper category order with the items appearing in the order the store has them when I'm walking through the store, I don't need the 100s of items at this time, so I started removing them from my shopping list. But, when I started checking off the items, all they did was drop off the list in either alphabetical or randomly order. They don't leave the checked off items in the same order when checked off/not active. Nor do they even leave them in their category order when the items are un-checked/not active. So, if I want to re-activate a checked off item on my list, I have to search and search to find it. At least when I reactivated the checked off item, the item appeared back in it's proper category order.
I just like having a master list of items that I can go through and just activate the item I'll need since it helps me think of the items I'll need to get instead of constructing a new list every time.

These are absolutely valid complaints - and the api does not seem to support relative ordering of the items, so you can only implement that on the client-app (you could have multiple shop-profiles that memorize the relative order items were checked). Maybe the developer can implement this feature for the client - I'll ask.
