Wifi connects & disconnects repeatedly whenever screen is off - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Whenever I turn the screen off on my s7, it will automatically disconnect my wifi and after a few minutes, connect back for awhile before disconnecting again. Anyone encountering a similar or the same problem? I made sure the settings for keep wifi on during sleep was set. I tried resetting my network from the "back & restore" place but didnt help.
How I knew was notifications for whatsapp was always always delayed, I tested by sending a message from my spare phone to my s7, my s7 would then only receive the message anytime between 1- 3 minutes, and sometimes the phone will disconnect from wifi immediately after receiving the message.

I noticed this too 2 days ago. I did not updated the firmware pr something else. I thought it was my router. Today i flashed the superman rom 1.7 and i saw that it lost the wifi connection again. I will observe it for the next few days. I havent had this problem before. Weird...

3G connection issues (Focus)

I'm having random 3G connection issues on my Samsung Focus.
At radndom times 3G connection is lost and the only way to get it working is to turn off and on the phone.
I tried putting the phone into airplane mode, turn off/on data, turn 3G off/on, nothing works, only a reboot works.
Today I checked my email on my phone and it says;
Last updated 4 hours ago
We're having a problem connection to exchange.xxx.com. Try again later.
Last tried 2 seconds ago
Error code: 80072FA8
This error shows up on all 3 emails I have setup.
IE doesn't work, Zune, any app requiring 3G connection.
And this happens at random times, at least once a day.
The phone has the lastest updates and is jailbroken.
One other thing to mention is, the phone is now having the 3G connection issue but i have it theathering to my computer and the internet connection is working while theathered, cause i'm posting this email.
I have no idea what's happening or how to fix it.
Thanks

Alert of connectivity change

Hi,
I am having a very strange problem on my Nexus S. I recently went back to stock 2.3.6 and after I did that, everytime my internet connection would turn on or off, I would get an alert pop up on my screen telling me the connection is restored/lost. This is very annoying since I use JuiceDefender and the internet connection is restored everytime I wake my phone.
I did a factory reset and put CM7 back on my phone today and I am still having this problem. I attached a screenshot of the alert and a logcat save file.
Any idea what is causing this alert to pop up?
Thanks

[Q] Anyone's phone disconnecting from wifi and freezing up for a few seconds?

I'm having this problem on my tmobile s6 where my phone screen will freeze randomly but it only happens anytime i lose connection to wifi. When the phone unfreezes, it always shows that I now connected to my wifi network. Am i the only one experiencing this. Im on xtrestolite rom (tmo version) , stock kernel
Did you ever find a solution to this?
My Verizon Galaxy s6 started doing this randomly 2 days ago. While looking at the wifi screen, it will toggle itself off and then back on, sometimes as much as every 20 seconds. If i'm in an app the whole phone hangs and becomes unresponsive for 10 seconds or so. Seems fine when it isn't actually connected to wifi.
I haven't updated or added apps recently. I tried a factory reset and it seemed fine, but when I put all my stuff back on the phone it started doing it again.

Nexus 5 WiFi Crashing Phone

Hi all. I have a weird issue that after Googling it doesn't seem anyone else has had.
The issue started earlier today, in the morning. I was using my phone on the WiFi and it was working phone, then my phone crashed, restarted itself.
I noticed it wasn't connected to the WiFi, went to the WiFi settings and where it usually says the list of networks it said "Turning on WiFi" and the slider at the top was greyed out so I couldn't turn it off.
I tried airplane mode and that didn't help. But the phone was working fine on my mobile data so restarted.
Now the weirder part starts. I basically have an issue where, if I turn on the WiFi, my phone crashes, or doesn't act like it's turning the WiFi on.
Even going Settings and then pressing on the WiFi option freezes the phone.
The problem started when I was still using 4.4.4 however since the problem developed I've used my mobile data to download the updates and now have 5.1.1 I think.
The problem persists even after updating to the most recent version and doing a factory restore. The phone is currently completely stock with nothing downloaded on to it. All I did is go through the first time setup for the device.
The WiFi currently is off, and the phone is working however it won't connect to my data, it has the signal bars and then an ! instead of a 4G icon.
If I try to turn the WiFi on it crashes the phone.
The phone is still under warranty so I plan on contacting LG on Monday however it's currently 3:34 AM on a Sunday so I have a day until I can call them and was hoping for a solution in that time.
Thanks in advance. I have the phone to hand so anything you want me to test I'm able to.
There is some information I didn't type as I don't know what is important was trying to avoid a wall of text so if you have any more questions I'll answer I best I can.
Thanks for reading, I hope you can help!

Nexus 5 WIFI issue

Hello everyone,
I recently encountered an issue with my Nexus 5 that has been driving me crazy for the past couple days.
So basically I was streaming a video on you tube the other night, until my Nexus 5 froze up. My phone was taking way too long to respond, so I decided to hold the power button until the device shut off, and I held the power button again to turn it back on. (duh) As soon as it turned back on, I was no longer able to connect to my home WIFI. So now whenever I try to connect to our home WiFi, I get an "authentication error" and the WiFi network status just comes up as 'saved" instead of "connected". My mobile Data works fine, it's just my WiFi that isn't working anymore. Did I accidentally fry a component within my Device that allowed me to connect to a WiFi network? If there is a fix to this, please let me know ASAP! :crying:
'forget' your wifi network and put in the password again; should fix it.
Do other devices still connect to the same WiFi network?
Rebooted the router?
As above, also forget the network and re-enter the password.
For completeness, test the Nexus on different WiFi networks as well.
Very last resort should be factory reset if you can't get it to connect. If it doesn't connect on fully stock unmodified software, then you have a hardware problem.
