(ATTENTION: Using this guide is your choice. I am not responsible if your phone gets bricked. All I'm doing is sharing my results so people can enjoy a better experience on their G Flex2, I do not know if this guide will work in anyone else's phone, I only know it worked on mine)
Hello, and welcome to my guide . I'm going to guide you through all the process I went through to install mods that will tweak your experience. The tweaks and mods used, are, as follows:
Audio Enhancement [Viper4Audio (credits to: users zhuhang and guitardedhero) Dolby Atmos (credits to: users guitardedhero and worstenbrood) and a modified mixer_paths profile (credits to: users paris07121978 and soosoolhastam)]
Camera Enhancement [modified camera_config and media_profiles (credits to: user jacksoncolocho)]
Screen And G4 Style-Tweaks [Flash-Mods (credits to: user bountyman334)]
Better Performance and Less Heat Output [modified thermal-engine-8994 (credits to: user probaina) tweaked interactive governors (credits to: users soosoolhastam and soniCron)]
Widened Scope of Phone Modifications [Xposed (credits to: user rovo89)]
Latest (Lollipop, Marshmallow on a locked bootloader is not rootable yet) Software Rooted Image (as of 5th of June, 2016) [15e rootedsystem image (credits to: user kevin3688)]
(I'm so sorry if I let anyone out, if I forgot to credit someone, please reply and I'll add him/her)
TL;DR, here's the guide:
1. (If you haven't already) Flash this image (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0UblGbOPFYBT2RERDZKcUhqcnM/view) on your phone, with this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/lg-h959-v15a-rooted-andriod-5-1-1-t3178517). Note that that flash command works for the 15e image. Now you have the latest software version.
2. Download and Install (on your phone) FlashFire, from the google store (yes, from the google store, not the old 0.24 version).
3. Download and install Stericon's busybox from the play store.
4. Download XposedInstaller.apk into your phone and also download the zip file (the one you'll flash with FlashFire), which has to be from sdk22 (that's for android 5.1.1) and from arm64 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811). Make sure to download the latest one. Now open Flashfire and flash the zip file (+ button, tap on flash zip or ota, select the zip file to the downloaded location, and uncheck mount read/write, then tap on flash). Afterwards, install the downloaded XposedInstaller.apk on your phone and open it. You are now able to use Xposed, which is a unique framework that allows you to download modules, which are "apps" that can change your phone in a lot of ways, way more than a regular app, I think. To install modules, open the XposedInstaller and... you'll figure it out.
5. Downgrade your flashfire app into the 0.24 version, by uninstalling it and installing this version instead (http://flashfireapk.com/flashfire-0.24.apk).
6. Flash the mod (same thing as before, but now there's only the auto-mount option, don't check it) provided by this thread, look for the h959 link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/dec-21-stock-lollipop-flex-2-ls996-t3275531). Download it (on your phone) and flash it with FlashFire (it might take a while). Now you should have a slightly better screen, G4 design changes and other tweaks to your phone.
7. Uninstall flashfire 0.24 and install the version from the google store again.
8. Download the Dolby Atmos zip file (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/mod-dolby-atmos-t3109446) and flash it with FlashFire (same thing as before, now there are more options again, uncheck mount read/write again). You should now have a dolby atmos app on your app drawer, it uses an intelligent equalizer and other cool stuff to make your audio sound better. Tweak it to your liking.
9. Download the zip file "ViperAtmos x (x represents the latest version, 5.5 as of now) sony beats edition" (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/viperaudio-viperatmos-3-8-sq-driver-t3289075) (that "sony beats edition" is not completely necessary, so if in a future version it's not there anymore, don't worry about it). But don't flash it. Instead, copy the content of that zip file to your root folder (mount the folder as read/write with your file explorer and overwrite what's already there) (the lowest/highest folder on your phone, it's not accessible via pc, only via a root browser). The folder can also be called "system(root)" or a hashtag or just "/", don't confuse it with the folder named root that is inside "/" or the folder "system" that is also inside "/". If any files couldn't be placed, like for example audio_effects.conf, try finding that file (it's in "vendor/ect", "system/etc" and "system/vendor/etc") and mount that file read/write, now try copying and pasting again, if it doesn't work again try rebooting and trying again. Open the V4A (V4A stands for Viper4Android) app, it may say to install drivers or it might be already installed, if it says install drivers tap on ok. It will say drivers are installed, so reboot.
10. Download and install SE Linux Mode Changer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524485), give it root permission and change the mode to permissive. Now Viper4Android and Dolby Atmos should be working together. Viper4Android is an audio tweaking tool that enhances your listening experience, and gives you a range of customization to do so. Tweak it to your liking.
11. Download the following file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3566699&d=1449390187 (delete the mixer_paths from that zip file). Also download the mixer_paths file from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/surround-mode-h955-t3376881), look for the latest post of the user "soosoolhastam" on that thread, the one where he uploaded his modification of the mixer_paths file. Also download the thermal-engine-8994 file from Probaina here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/thermal-throttling-hotplug-settings-t3106165), it's in a reply he made to his own thread, it's on the first page. Now that all those files are on your phone, use a root text editor (the only one that worked for me is the app QuickEdit) to copy the content of all those files, and replace the content from the files (with the same name) on the folder /etc. Don't replace the files, since that "broke" my phone, just replace the text content of those files with the content of the files you downloaded, that have the same name. Now you have unlocked 60fps on your camera, your photos are now all stored with 100% quality, your audio has a higher volume and it's more surround, and your phone should heat up less.
12. Download the file "init.qcom.post_boot_xxxxxx.zip" (again, the Xs represent whatever the latest version is, choose the biggest number, not the "original" version) from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/tweak-interactive-governor-lag-battery-t3371210). Extract the file and navigate to the folder GhostPepperVx (x=latest version) (you can choose from the other folders if you want, they have different cpu governors, if you want to try another one) then copy the file "init.qcom.post_boot" inside that folder into system/etc. Make sure your phone is not overheated (since that changes things).
13.Wipe dalvik cache with flash fire to cleanup your phone after all the flashes and stuff. There. Now your phone should be better in every way!

Sorry mate, but at least flashing the h959 rooted image won't work, certainly. And I'm not sure how the installation would go in your model. I'm really sorry, I wish I could help.

The G4 mod changes a lot of things, some things I didn't even like, like the phone dialer and the contacts design, but I'm keeping it because of the rest of the things that come with the mod. I'll list the things I noticed until now: changes (very minor) to the little menu that pops up when you slide down, it adds a button (an engine icon) to access settings faster (was it already there?), and by its side there's a button that redirects you to a menu where you can change "users", not quite sure how that works, the default calling app is completely changed, I think the design changes are from G4. When you insert headphones/usb a little menu pops up, I just checked and apparently it's a feature called "plug and pop apps", one of the apps that is shown by default is the music app. The mod adds a new app to the menu drawer, called "QTheater", not sure what it does yet. Clock app looks unchanged, gallery app has a new icon, but aside from that nothing's changed there. Quickmemo+ seems also unchanged. Music app is... A little different. Kinda uglier, in my opinion, really. Calculator's the same. Camera app is the same. OOH! Never mind, gallery app is so much better, I really can't describe well what I'm seeing here, you'll have to try it out for yourself. Calendar app just changed to color of the (orange or red?) on it to a more orange one. Email app is the same (who uses that app?). Tasks app is the same. Weather app is also the same. Voice recorder is the same. Dunno if Voice Mate app is changed, never paid attention to it. Update center app is the same. Settings app has a dramatic design change. A bunch of new features on the settings app, including a setting for the phone to read messages out loud. Holy moly so many new features in the settings app. I think that's it. Until now I haven't noticed any other differences until now. You can install a module for Xposed to get more g4 tweaks, including the option to record your calls! Sorry if I missed anything.

can it be removed/uninstalled if we do not like it?

I'm not sure but I think so. But I am sure you can always re-flash the 15e image (that'll erase all the mods, and don't worry, it won't erase any of your data, only the mods), and you can follow the guide without installing the mods you don't like, like the g4 tweaks mod.

[ROM] Custom Rom For ChaCha - GB

Hello everyone!
Finally, I am satisfied with my chacha. I was constantly shifting between stock custom rom and cm roms. In stock rom everything works but automatic backlight settings are just terrible (especially dim threshold and keyboard light settings) and status bar is bigger than in cm roms (32px vs 25px). Cm roms have all of this but there are other things that still need improvement (front cam, some stability issues etc.). Therefore I decided to create my own mod of stock rom. It is based on Europe RUU 1.3.3 android 2.3.3. I couldn’t find anywhere 2.3.5 Europe rom but to be honest I don’t see any difference between the two. There are two versions:
1. Full sense rom: Link
What is different: rooted, added busybox, support init.d, dta2sd included (you need to partition your sd to ext2 or ext3 after installation and enter dta2sd commands from terminal emulator – google for the commands if you don’t know them), changed the ugly calculator app, added file explorer, added latest play store, Flash player 11 is working. I haven’t removed any apps because in this version I wanted to leave that to the user according to his/her own preferences. Status bar is smaller (more space on the screen) and I themed it a little, removed charging icon (I know that it is charging because phone’s led is orange ). Automatic brightness is tweaked (added lower brightness level, lowered the max brightness of the f button, and added one level for the keyboard lights (sometimes, in stock roms, I couldn’t see my keyboard clearly and the damn lights just wouldn’t turn on so I had to do this tweak as well). And rom is fully deodexed.
2. Stripped rom (no sense): Link
What is different: rooted, added busybox, support init.d, dta2sd included (you need to partition your sd to ext2 or ext3 after installation and enter dta2sd commands from terminal emulator – google for the commands if you don’t know them), changed the ugly calculator app, added file explorer, added latest play store, removed sense, added widget locker, holo launcher, removed a lot of bloatware (at least, bloatware for me), f button is not assigned (I’ll leave that to the user, I use it to turn my screen off but didn’t changed it to this since several people reported issues). Same automatic backlight and status bar tweaks like in the sense rom and it is also deodexed.
3. Stripped rom (odexed): Link
What is different: Same as in stripped rom with the exeption of these: odexed (now 120mb free out of the box), status bar icons have an ICS look and color (wifi, signal, data, bluetooth etc.), notification toggles app added (fully functional and works great, just in the settings set it as an on-going notification and as old in order to be always on top; it has many different icons and styles and colors are changable as well, really nice app), fb button is set to turn screen off, dta2sd not included, different backlight values.
Automatic backlight and status bar tweak for odexed version: Link
Automatic backlight and status bar tweak (sense and stripped deodexed): Link
Flash Player 11: Link
Instructions:
1. Reboot into recovery; wipe data/factory reset; mounts and storage/format system; install from sd card; choose and install your rom; reboot your phone; finish your first boot setup.
2. Reboot into recovery; install from sd card; choose and install backlight.zip; reboot your phone.
3. Install flash player apk; reboot phone.
That’s it. Hope that someone will like it.
Sorry for the poor screenshots.
Regards
P.S. I am not going to support these mods. Everyone is invited to use them and do with them whatever you want. So please don’t ask me does it support this, does it support that, can you do this, can you do that. For me, it is perfect and I don’t need to do or change anything. Everything is working for me. I just wanted to share it with you. I hope that you can understand this.
Edit: I used this guide (thanks kylon) to improve wifi signal range and it worked for me, so I am going to share these settings with you. Mke sure you do this with your WiFi off. Here is what you have to do:
1. Copy your calibration file (found in proc in the root of your phone) to the sd card (it is best to do all steps with root explorer) and download from the attachments framework.jar (here is a link for an odexed version - extract jar and odex files) and symlinkv2.zip.
2. Move the calibration file to system/etc and set permissions as they are set in the screenshot.
3. Reboot into recovery and install symlinkv2.zip.
4. Open calibration file in system/etc (again, best with root explorer) and change this line: rssi_offset=0 into this: rssi_offset=-30
Delete created bak file if you are using root explorer.
5. Copy downloaded framework.jar (I already modified it according to the offset - 30, and if you are using odexed version copy both jar and odex files) to system/framework and set permissions according to the screenshot. Reboot your phone.
6. Done.
This trick did wonders for me and my wifi, hope it will help you as well. If it doesn't, try different values both in calibration file and framework.jar according to the original thread.
Cheers.
Looks noice
Is it faster/smoother than the stock rom? I would go back to the stock rom if it wasn't so hard to configure and it wasn't so damn sluggish compared to CM7/CM9.

Every rom that I use is fast enough for me. Even the unmodified stock. I just wanted to get rid of some apps that are obsolete for me, and I needed to improve backlight settings because when it is night the original settings don't dim the lights enough which really hurts my eyes and I hate that because I have to manually dim. In this rom I don't have that issue. Lights dim automatically.
Although, I found out today that there is an issue with the dta2sd, or maybe the kernel itself. DTa2sd moves my apps and dalvik to sd-ext, clockworkmod creates a backup of sd-ext in a backup folder, and when I restore it my rom just will not mount my sd-ext on boot after that, thus I need to do a fresh install. I would appreciate if someone has an idea why this happened? It is not an issue for me, since I am going to use this rom for a while, but I would like to fix it for the others. When I don't use dta2sd there are no issues. I looked in init.rc in ramdisk, but couldn't find anything unusual. This happened to me with Void rom as well, so I really don't know where to start regarding this.
Regards
Edit: I have been using recovery for a different phone. I just realized this and now, with the proper recovery, everything is restoring fine.

I don't know about data2SD, but I use link2SD, and that works perfectly but with the stock rom, you have to format the sd-ext partition in ext2 rather than ext4, and you can't do it with clockworkmod either, cos it doesn't format it properly :/ you have to use a tool like gparted (if you're a linux user) or some windows/mac equivalent to format it properly
Wow that does look pretty nice.thanks man.

Stripped with full stock Facebook Button Functionallity
Great work. This is a solid setup. Thanks for the hard work.
I appreciate that you left the F-Button unassigned for the end user, but is there a way to get back to stock functionallity using your Stripped Rom?
Thank you.

Thank you so much for the exceptionally quick response. Unfortunately I ran into an error. Let me walk you through what I did.
1. Dowloaded Sripped Rom, and all the files in the previous post.
2. I unzipped the Rom on my desktop
3. I inserted each of the files in their respective folders
4. Zipped the Rom back up
5. Transferred to SD
6. Booted to Recovery mode and tried to flash.
Here is what I got ....
CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7
-- Installing: /sdcard/Stripped-Chacha_1-3-3.zip

That is weird. I just tested it, and it worked for me. Maybe you zipped it with high compression or sth. Try with normal compression. If that doesn't work, I will upload zip for you later today. I use recovery 5.0.2.8, but I don't think that it matters.
Edit: Here is the link - Link
Flash Player Stopping
Stripped down ROM is great - now have more room for downloading apps.
One problem I've come across on this ChaCha is that Flash Player stops working (returns to home screen) after around 2 seconds of playing anything.
Anyone else had a similar problem?

As you can see from the screenshot below I don't have that issue. Try different flash player for armv6 devices. There are few, just google it.
dta2sd
Little suggestion. If you are planning to use this rom for a longer time, after your setup, copy your data from your sd card to your computer, go into clockworkmod recovery, in advanced options partition your sd card (I set sd-ext to 256, don't need more) and reboot. After that download terminal emulator from play store. In terminal type this:
su (then press enter and allow superuser permissions)
a2sd reinstall (enter and wait for your phone to reboot. It will take some time)
After it is booted enter this:
su (enter)
a2sd cachesd (press enter and wait for your phone to reboot. It will take some time).
The end result you can see in the attached screenshot. After installing all my apps I still have over 120mb free.
Of course, after everything is done copy your data back to sd card.
Regards
Added wifi tweak to the first post. It works for me, hopefully it will work for you as well.

languages included in europe rom
What languages are included in this ROM?
Thx!
Thanks for this rom, great daily use
Great Rom, Thank you!
This is the best ChaCha rom I have used so far. Everything works great super fast flash even works!
YouTube can play 240p with no lag, any higher and it will.
BBC iplayer crashes but I have yet to find a rom that bbc iplayer will work on when it comes to the ChaCha.
Perfect rom but can u create a RTL fix for arabic support ?
thanks.

Fix for moto display in DPI 493 build.
Install "App Settings" from Xposed repository (or google it)

Instructions:
Check your system version. Go to Settings -> System -> About Phone -> System version; make sure that you're on the system version 21.44.12.quark_verizon.verizon.en.US before starting. This is a requirement for using MOFOROOT. If you're not on this most recent version, download and install the Verizon system update by going to Settings-> System -> System updates -> Check for system updates.
Check your operating system. The MOFOROOT method can only currently be ran on Windows and Linux. If you are on OS X, you can set up a virtual machine using VirtualBox running the current (15.04) version of Ubuntu. This tutorial will help you get it set up. If this step applies to you, the rest of the steps need to be completed in your virtual machine, NOT OS X.
Download and install the drivers for your device. You have to make sure that your computer can recognize your phone first. Depending on your operating system, any of these links should be able to get you set up: Motorola, AndroMods, RootJunky.
Download the system image from this thread. Before you try to flash the system image, please cross reference the MD5 hash, or else you may brick your phone!
Ensure you can connect to your device via ADB and fastboot. Download and install Android Debug Bridge (ADB) on your operating system. It is included in the Android SDK. This is an awesome guide to installing fastboot - use it. Once both are installed, plug your phone in and open a command prompt. By either adding adb/fastboot to your path, or navigating to the downloaded directories, run adb devices to see if your computer recognizes your phone. Reboot the phone into bootloader mode by following these directions. Once you've connected your device to your computer while in this mode, try running fastboot devices from the terminal to make sure that your computer recognizes your phone while in this mode (this is the mode you will need to be in when using MOFOROOT).
Ensure that you have Python on your machine. MOFOROOT is written in Python, so Windows users will have to make sure that they have Python 2.7.9 downloaded and installed.
Download MOFOROOT. This system image is meant to be flashed using MOFOROOT. Ensure that you've paid for and downloaded the de-facto rooting method from their website. Please note that this method provides a utility that allows us to flash pre-rooted system images to our phone, but does not turn write protection off. Motorola/Verizon has locked down this device's bootloader and enabled write protection, so any changes made to the system partition outside of this method will be only temporary and disappear after reboot. Development on this phone may feel like we have to jump through so many hoops - that's because we do. You should be able to download and run mofoverify from their site, which will give you a link to be able to pay for and download the mofo utility.
FLASH THE IMAGE! After all of those steps, you can finally connect your phone to your computer in bootloader mode (checking to see that it's recognized using fastboot devices) and run mofo flash path_to_the_downloaded_system.img. This is the original XDA mofo instructions, read and follow them if you have any issues. If you're having problems with using MOFOROOT via VirtualBox[/URL on OS X (using [URL="http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop"]Ubuntu as your guest OS), here's a thread where some issues were discussed. If mofo stops on you and doesn't make it to 100%, just press the up arrow and then enter to restart it. Do not plug your phone into a USB 3.0 port as this happens far more on USB 3.0. I have flashed multiple IMGs and some of them stopped and I had to restart it. So just give it time.
CLEAR THE CACHE BEFORE RESTARTING! After you have flashed the system image using MOFOROOT, you MUST wipe the cache before rebooting. You can follow these instructions if you don't know how to do it. Failing to wipe the cache may result in your phone not booting. You should still be able to get to the bootloader menu if you get caught in a bootloop, and clearing the cache should fix your issue.
Reboot and PROFIT! Congratulations! You're finished. The first phone reboot may take about 10 minutes. Do not freak out and just let it finish. The next steps are optional if you'd like to set up ad blocking, ViPER4Android, or XPOSED.
Setup ad-blocking. This system image has AdAway pre-installed (if it doesn't, you can download it). Open AdAway and go into Preferences and click on Target host file and set it to /data/data/hosts from the pop up menu. Go back and hit Download files and apply ad blocking. If Super User asks for permission, grant it. Also say yes to the system link on the first-time setup. Restart your phone. You should now not see most ads! You can disable this at any time by going into AdAway and pressing Disable ad blocking. If you would like to manage ad-blocking on a per-app basis, you can disable AdAway and use MinMinGuard for Xposed. Thank you @pjsockett for the tip.
Setup ViPER4Android. ViPER4Android (V4A) is pre-installed. Open the app and enable it and set it up. Do NOT check the box Force Enable V4A and run V4A in FX Compatible Mode. Without running in FX Compatible Mode, the Facebook app will not play audio on videos. PLEASE NOTE: Enabling V4A will negatively impact battery life.
Setup the XPOSED framework. Download and install the XPOSED framework installer. I have done all the hard work in this image to get the XPOSED framework to work without any extra steps. If XPOSED is not working for you, please follow the first few steps of this guide.
I do my best to support this, but we all have lives that demand our attention. Anyone is free to contribute to this project and discuss development or features right on this thread. The community behind this system image is pretty awesome. Big thanks to @savagebunny for giving me the drive, info, and support to keep working on V4A. Thanks also to @paintba11er89 for the AdAway suggestion and helping me organize this OP. Huge thanks to paintba11er89 for the help with a very clean OP he used his time to rewrite this post to help me and others so please thank him.
This is only the first step to THE NEXT BIG THING!
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK / RUIN YOUR PHONE IN ANY WAY.
BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED.
Help:
Read the instructions - There's a lot of great guidelines in there that will answer most questions that you have. If you have issues with Google Apps or Services stopping more than once after you've booted, refer to step 9 in the instructions to clear the phone's cache. Additionally, check out this video that may help with this issue. If you're still having issues, you may have to factory reset and format your data partition to start over clean. That's obviously not optimal, but that's the price that we pay for not having a fully unlocked bootloader.
Changelog:
1.5.5A All in one With AdAway system link, xposed, with or without V4A
Fixed GPU 2x faster benchmark for the GPU video.
Fixed the lag on launcher.
Fixed WiFi scan times. Part of the power saving.
Fixed and updated Build.prop
Removed some startup's apps.
I am removing 1.5.5 on OP and going to replace it with 1.5.5A as there was some bugs With the GPU. So please upgrade to 1.5.5A. Sorry I did not see the drop in 1.5.5 in the GPU speed.
Remember if you do not like adaway just do not set it up. Or if your doing an custom host file it place it in /data/data.
i will keep doing an None V4A for now till i find a way to fix the USB audio out. This is used for amps.
Custom paid ver builds will be updated soon and I will PM you all the links soon.

Is this different then the build on the other thread by Ekkoria because that one is working for me right now.
Does this have full root? Or is it the same as the initial release albeit with the hot spot tethering?
Many Thanks
There are those of us who appreciate the all time consuming work you put in for others.
Thanks again :good:

I used the stock rooted image from here This IMG is for users on Verizon with an unlimited data 29.99. All others with family share plan or other data plan on Verizon you already get hotspot as part of your plan.
Thanks for your work, hope to see more updates to this!
Thank you for this
Thank you for this, a super good start for the situation were in.
If possible could you incorporate a mixer_paths.xml for louder volumes and incorporate adaway? or an updated host file from adaway?
Seems to me one of those ad removal apps had an option in it to symlink a host file? think something like that would work if it were in the system apps dir, but updating to /data somewhere?
thanks again for all your hard work
PS - Remove that damned boot sound maybe?

To be honest, tethering is not even on my list as my employers pay my bill and it includes tethering.
I'm looking for some xposed modules, adaway, titanium backup and other perks of rooting.

Mine works just fine.
You need to turn your phone off and back on go to WiFi hotspot change ssid and password/key . then start it. You got something locked up with your hotspot if you can not change the settings.

Working fine I have tested it over and over on 2 phones. My guess is it is windows set the password on the phone longer under wifi hotspot settings and reboot windows. it is working i did not do anything to tether just a bypass. So that is on your side. if that don't work connect something other like an tablet or other laptop.

I tried on my tablet and a macbook and it didn't connect either. I'm not able to change the wifi name or password either.
If it matters I had previously installed the rootjunky image and then put your file over it?
Could that be why it isn't working?

Sorry, I cannot. I don't have access to a Linux box ATM to build it into the img. the creator of this thread was to incorporate it into the img he's building for all of us to flash using mofo root.
If we had write off its as simple backing up the original /system/etc/mixer_paths.xml and dropping in the new one, then setting permissions and your done. But that's not our situation YET.

Always do backup from the ROM you have in your device.
If you have root you can use this tool, it do a backup option.

My device is working properly without any problem so far, some times bugs only be noticed with use and i will update this post with the ROM fixed.
Install it by your own free will, I am not responsible for any damage that may appear in the device.
This is a European ROM but, like the default one, there are same country restrictions in providers that may affect the 4G reception, etc, etc.
If you want to install, you can try to unlock these restrictions since the ROM has root.
>>>>> FIX CUST, CHANGE PROVIDER AFTER INSTALL ROM
This ROM was edited to vodafone pt but can be changed to your provider.
When you flash it, if you are not from Portuguese Vodafone it will show a bootanimation that say " Change Cust after settings than do a factory reset ".
This is how to fix it with Root Browser, that you can find in ROM, go to folder /DATA and seek the custom.bin file, open it as a text file, you will see something such as example zt/rt, now we left the folder /DATA and go to the folder /CUST , we open it and we will find a folder with the name vodafone, we will change the name of it to the first name that we saw in custom.bin in our example will is zt, use small font, now we entered the zt folder and we will find another folder that his name is pt, let's switch to the second name of our exemple which will be rt, use small font!
Go back and exit the app, do a factory reset. Done!
.
.
>>>HOW TO INSTALL ROM.
Do backup from your data with the default backup app from the phone, and you can do to a backup with TWRP from your ROM.
->You need bootloader unlocked, search in this page to how to do it ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-g6/general/huawei-ascend-g4-4g-l-11-instant-t3190617/page2 ) , and need TWRP recovery FROM THIS POST, to install TWRP boot in bootloader ( fastboot - turn off the phone, press vol - and power, release power on boot than vol when you see the fastboot screen, must say in red unlocked) and execute this file to install TWRP recovery:
TWRP2d.exe
https://mega.nz/#!T9pygRAC
KEY:
!qVujE5A7RrQeQ1dqFFuRGYtUvBLWo-PfrEAGr6QoGsI
To install ROM, copy the zip file bellow ( ROM ) to sd card, turn off the phone, press vol + and power at same time, release the power on boot than vol + when you see the blue screen from TWRP, go to install and search for the zip, than swipe to install! Done. The ROM will install the default recovery again, if you want to stay with TWRP you must flash it again.
----->Before ROM flash, IF YOU WANT to win 2205MB more for apps and user data flash this zip file with TWRP like it was a ROM, you can read the steps in the end of flash, but i will write bellow. For you understand when you see "Insufficient storage available" is not the storage where music or pictures go, that is like a sdcard, is data partition storage. What this zip do? This will take from that storage where music and pictures go to give to data partition storage. Why this is good? Every one have a external sd card for pictures and music, i think and this will let to to install more apps in phone!!!
ADVISE: This do a factory reset!!
https://mega.nz/#!OgRzmDiK
KEY:
!zPrLPGzJPQOM1eTxX_L3SX1qiUyCs7ewkx-Fz77yM3U
->After zip Flash DON´T GO OUT FROM TWRP!
Go to main menu -> WIPE ->Advanced Wipe ->Select data -> go to repair or change file system -> change file system ->EXT4 Swipe to Change -> Now you can reboot.
.
-> My ROM have a swap ON ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paging#SWAP-SPACE ).
Now the ROM!

Note:
This "MAYBE" works in same L22, L33 but not dual SIM. Only testing you can know it. The Only issue for sure that will be is the home key but can be fix it with a simple app from google play.
You can try to use this app with this ROM, for now, if you want it.
Notes:
Tap Tap App is to use light sensor to unlock the phone, open Tap Tap app, Install, go to setup sensor, select "Unlock when removing the cover", unselect "Tap Tap unlocks the screen" ( G6 don´t have this option in kernel).
Busybox, is a tool to install several Linux tools to use with Android, like cmd in Windows... if i can say like this... You can use them with terminal emulator.
GPS Status helps with GPS, it gets faster, better if data is ON.

What can I do..??
Hí, this is a great rom so far, thanks.
Only couple glitches came out for me so far, can be my mistake tho, been a pain ita too root in the first place.
Homescreen organizing resets sometimes after closing an app,
There are some wifi networks i cant connect, although others working perfectly.

THanks again
Regards.
Hello,
I am really interesting in changing the ROM of my G6-4G-L11. I began to see your video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMDnP1tBsJ4&feature=youtu.be (what a shame there is no more sound!) as some things to do is not so easy to understand for me...
I have read all the topic above and you tell " Always do backup from the ROM you have in your device". I have no root access but I will try to have it with Kingo Android, is it a good option? After that, I would use your G6knife tool. I would try to follow all the steps you describe to change the ROM but I am really afraid! In case of problem, is it possible to return to the origianl ROM?
Thanks a lot
Can you please update download link for custom ROM. I have Ascend G6 l11 LTE and really want to try this. Im from Croatia, will it work for me?

[ GUIDE ] ViPER|Atmos V4A Sony Beats Edition + Audiophile 100% working tutorial on S7

Here is a complete guide on how to get V4A stock and V4A Sony Beats Edition working on your Samsung Galaxy S7 Device. Please note I have tested this personally on my own S7 Edge SM-G935F and it is working 100%. There was a few bumps along the way to get everything working and if it wasn’t for @guitardedhero help and everyone else involved I wouldn’t have figured it out. There were similar tutorials HERE and HERE that offered some insight but didn' provide a fully working procedure so I put together my own guide that will work for sure.
You will need a rooted device for this to work (SuperSU by @Chainfire CF-AUTO-ROOT) and a working recovery TWRP version 3.0.0 or above found HERE
As usual please backup all your data and files (internal and external SD cards) as mistakes can be made and things don’t always go as planned
0. In your SuperSU app go to setting and deselect/un-tick “Mount namespace separation” (this is causing issues with the installation process on this and other devices)
1. Install BusyBox by Stephen (Stericson) with the default settings of /su/xbin
2. Install the latest version of Viper4Android (currently 2.4.0.1) from the official website - LINK or if you prefer use the older version as it has been favored for providing better quality. (Do not open just yet, only install)
2.3.4.0 with its Super Quality driver is absolutely superior to 2.4.0.1 and its driver in every aspect, it's almost not even fair. I promise you, this build will absolutely blow your mind, especially when used with the ViPER|Audio™ Audiophile™ 4.0 Profile @guitardedhero
3. Make sure Viper4Android has write permissions (this should be on as default but check just in case) Settings -> Applications -> Application manager -> V4A -> Permissions -> and make sure all available options are enabled.
4. Freeze the stock Sound Alive or Adapt Sound app using Titanium Backup.
5. Open up Root Explorer (or your preferred root browser) and change the system to MOUNT R/W
6. Go to root/system/etc/ and rename the file audio_effect.conf to audio_effect.conf.backup
7. Download the modified audio_effect.conf from HERE and copy it to /system/etc/ and /vendor/etc/
(This last location will have no files, it may be skipped?)
8. Set permissions of the new files to rw-r-r (0644) (important! Or you may have boot loops)
9. Change your system back to MOUNT R/O and exit.
8. Restart your device in recovery and flash THIS FILE HERE and reboot (I didn’t perform any wipes)
9. Once your device reboots, open up V4A and grant root permissions and install the requested drivers.
10. Reboot once again and this should be it…
You should now have V4A working on your device
If you feel the stock V4A isn’t giving you the correct audio niche or experience then consider changing to ViPER|Atmos™ 4.8.1 Sony™ Beats™ Edition by @guitardedhero – (I have not tested other editions found here on the OP Thread, they may or may not work… any volunteers ??? )
FLASH THIS FILE TO GET STARTED ViPERAtmos 4.8.1 Sony Beats Driverless.zip
Once your phone reboot you will have a new looking V4A icon and upon opening it should work but your Dolby Atmos app will keep crashing until you FLASH THIS FILE dap_r6.5.zip - Fresh Dolby Atmos App file.
And here is a quick guide written by @guitardedhero to enable the Audiophile profiles...
I don't recommend others to flash without an acceptable backup to restore as this build drops compatibility big time for some devices resulting in no in-call volume for example. It is the custom version I built for my Nexus 6 ViPER|Atmos™ Audiophile™ rom and is just absolutely incredible!
Post-install instructions:
In v4a:
Menu > Show Notification (disable through notification shade if you wish)
Menu > Ui Setting > Expert
Menu > Save Effect Profile > As New Effect > Stock
Download and extract ViPERAudio Audiophile Profile 4.0 zip from the OP attachments section or HERE.
Search in:
/data/media/legacy/ViPER4Android/Profile
and
/storage/emulated/0/ViPER4Android/Profile
until you find the Stock folder you just saved earlier.
Take note that this is your working v4a directory.
Copy the Kernel and Profile folders in the ViPERAudio Audiophile folder you extracted earlier and paste them into the /ViPER4Android folder of your working v4a directory. Compare the folder and file permissions to the Stock folder and files and set them to the same permissions if necessary.
In v4a:
Menu > Load Effect Profile > Audiophile 4.0
Recommended Dolby Atmos™ Settings:
Music tab highlighted at the top
Open or Flat EQ preset
All three effects at the bottom turned Off except for Dialogue Enhancer if it sounds good to you.
Troubleshooting and additional steps will be written here shortly...
Please find all needed and extra files bellow...
REVISED - ViPERAudio_audio_policy_S7_Edge.zip has been added...

Thanks! 2 questions..
1) what's the battery drain like compared to without v4a?
2) how do we fully revert back to stock and remove v4a?
Thanks for this guide, kinda got stuck at step 5 though, couldn't figure out how to mount r/w using es file explorer with root? When I tried to change the filename of audio_effects.conf it said task failed which is because I didn't mount r/w I assume
You made my day man
2.3.4.0 is way better than 2.3.4.1 by miles.
I have GS5 besides my 7 edge and the reason i kept it around is the sound quality, i always favored it to listen to music over my 7 edge and just figured out the reason; 2.3.4.0 is installed on my GS5.

Is there any difference between your thread and this one ?

I see you've linked the other 2 posts in your op. It may have been better to just include the additional information in that thread, only a suggestion

Thanks! 2 questions..
1) what's the battery drain like compared to without v4a?
2) how do we fully revert back to stock and remove v4a?

1) Battery drain - I haven't noticed any significant changes on my device
2) If you install the apk just uninstall it and unfreeze your Sound Alive
3) and undo any changes

The first guide didn't provide a fully working method, try it and it will keep asking you to reinstall drivers, the second was designed for the S6 and provided a different method, here it is covered 101% plus additional sound mods, profiles, Atmos, and much more.

just try it with root explorer app from the store, the second you open it it has that option displayed in the top right hand corner, you cant miss it...
Any reason why the audio sounds high pitched/faster after installation?

You made my day man
2.3.4.0 is way better than 2.3.4.1 by miles.
I have GS5 besides my 7 edge and the reason i kept it around is the sound quality, i always favored it to listen to music over my 7 edge and just figured out the reason; 2.3.4.0 is installed on my GS5.
GS5 -----> drewer

[HELP] Leagoo T5: why is not available any ROM ?

Hello
I've a Leagoo T5 wich use his own Nougat modifiied. TERRIFIC !!!
I'm looking for another ROM wich supporting all feature (also double rear camera and fingerprint reader) because it's impossible to use it.
T.I.A.
Paolo
You can use "MTK Extractor" to extract system.img and other files, you can then modify them, and flash them using "SP Flash".
I recently uploaded a clean stock ROM (LEAGOO_T5_OS2.1_E_20180116) to Mediafire and Needrom.
I've also uploaded a carepack if you are interested in the new ROM, or even for a custom.
The command for fast boot is: fastboot oem unlock

Do you mind sharing please? I'd love to get a working custom rom on this device.
I still can't add links yet, so you will have to Google search: "MTK Extractor". Download it, and then download the latest official ROM, which I have uploaded to Needrom and Mediafire, Google search: "OS2.1_E_20180116".
Extract the "system.img" file from the stock ROM using MTK Extractor, you can then go ahead and make your customization's. System apks are signed and locked, however they can be replaced.
When you have finished, you can use MTK Extractor to create a new system.img file with all of your modifications (including root, if you add it). The size for system.img is 4096mb.
The MTK Extractor tool uses a slider bar and text input for the partition size, the slider is limited, however enter 4096 into the text box (don't delete the text, it bugs).
Enter fastboot (Power + Volume up), third option, then using ADB with command prompt, type the command: "fastboot oem unlock", and then accept.
Now you have unlocked the phone, you can run your custom ROM. In a factory locked state, ROM's will install, but not run.
I forgot to mention my Needrom pack contains MTK Extractor. If you can make roms, there are 3 stock bugs that I would ask you to fix.
1: If the navigation bar is hidden, there is a window transition blip (bottom of the screen) if you swipe to recent apps.
2: If you select the first (bottom left) icon from the lock screen (voice, usually), you get a grey background.
3: Bluetooth scanning sometimes bugs (MAC instead of name), once paired there are no issues.*
* This may be due to my headset, but I remember my TV also displaying a MAC once.
Also, can you align or remove the 4G icon that shows even with data turned off.
Ok... So far this thread seems to be the only one on xda-dev about leagoo T5, which i just buy.
By the way thanks Ferather for pushing the rom on need rom.

Need help
Hi, could you please share the Mediafire link?
Since the last rom update (LEAGOO_T5_OS2.1_E_20180822 aka OS2.1_E_20181025) I post on needrom a moded rooted boot with magisk.
i have this leagoo t5 running this newest e_20181025 but im getting a problem with my front facing camera only displaying like an upsidedown image of the rear camera. please advise on what i can do to fix this
Maybe inconsistence between differents partitions (like boot and system)
If you know what you are doing I will advise reflashing all principal partitions.
But i don't think the phone came like this when new, so someone must have messed something.

LEAGOO_T5_OS2.1_E_20181025.zip -- Original Leagoo T5 ROM
LEAGOO_T5_OS2.1_C_20181025.zip -- Custom Leagoo T5 ROM
No issues, other than the one I have mentioned, which is just an app default.
Enjoy!
hey cool rom bro.
Thank for sharing.
No problem, I thought I would start the ball rolling for customization of the rom, since adding ringtones does not work with the stock rom (media storage app issue I think).
You can permanently edit the rom yourself, which I found very easy. If you want to add apps, simply install them from sdcard or store, then navigate to "/data/app", you will find your installed app or update, with odex files and libs, if any.
I created a temp folder on "/data" called "Working" and copied everything into it, and then setup the correct permissions, and renames, and transferred to either "/system/app" or "/system/priv-app", depending on the app.
A better way to do it, is to use "Lubuntu" from live USB or DVD, and then mount the image and edit it as root: "sudo *file explorer*", in this case "sudo pcmanfm-qt", then create a folder in "/mnt" called "ROM".
Next copy "system.img" to "/tmp", and mount it "sudo mount /tmp/system.img /mnt/ROM", now you can do whatever you like, but make sure to "chown" and "chmod" all your modifications.
Make sure you delete anything you will replace when you transfer, else you might get old unused files (folder merged and non-replaced items remain).
----
If you make edits on the phone using an app, and want to make your own "system.img", use the readback option in "SP Flash Tool".
physical_start_addr: 0xe000000
partition_size: 0x100000000
----
Note: Most non-stock apps *do not* support the triple (3x) camera setup, and will either use the wrong camera or crash.
Yeah I encounter problems too to add custom ringtone and wallpaper but i manage to get over it by changing some files permissions
By the way I am "456456" on needrom, the boot img with magisk is from me
I know the time needed to make a custom rom and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one trying to mess with this not-bad-at-all cheap phone
There is a possibility of an Oreo port, there is a Leagoo T8s with the the same chip that runs Oreo 8.1.0. I have checked over the rom and it looks possible (based on my basic knowledge).
Cygwin + Cmder, for Android. I made the pack myself, and thought it might help others using Windows who want various Linux tools.
I added Cmder for better console support and easy admin: ---- http://www.mediafire.com/folder/lzsf7xd2wwsm4/Commander
Quick update, will now self configure "/home", added ADB and Fastboot.
