Dual Sim variant question - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If I buy a z5 dual to use in the US... If I put a t mobile sim card in slot 1 for my calling then a t mobile unlimited data sim card in slot 2. Would I be able to make a phone call and still use LTE from sim slot 2?

Yes, you can set which simcard be used for data, but If you set simslot 2 for data with Lte, then is for simslot 1 possible only GSM for call

[Q] Choosing SIM and using 3G network on Dual SIM version

Hi all:
As far as I heard that the Dual SIM version of Moto G is only support for 3G+2G. I would like to ask whether if we can choose which SIM to run on 3G by simply changing the option on setting, rather than we have to plug the SIM card on the dedicated SIM slot (e.g. SIM 1 or SIM 2) in order to ensure that we can enjoy 3G network on a certain SIM card?
May I ask if anyone who is using the Dual SIM version of Moto G and check this out for me, Please?
Thanks in advance!

Yes!
Only the first sim slot supports 3G network(also 2G) but the second sim slot supports only 2G.
You can use 3G services only in sim one.

That's what I am afraid of!
I'll prefer that it can choose 3G/2G mode by selecting the mode on setting rather than by the SIM card slot! Otherwise, I would have to swap the cards in order to get the thing done!!! Also, there is another drawback by choosing the 3G mode by the SIM slot. Since you have to swap the cards in order to use 3G mode on one of the sim card, you may have to re-certified your whatsapp/line once you are swapping your card!! That's pretty troublesome for users!!
Anyway, thanks for your help!!

[Q] Xperia Z3 Dual can't have 2 LTE network?

Hi
I have a problem with my xperia z3, I am not able to set both sim to use LTE.
If i set sim 1 to use LTE, sim 2 will change to GSM.
If i set sim 2 to use LTE, sim 1 will change to GSM.
Is this right??
Can I have both sim using LTE since both telco provide LTE service.
Seems normal. Only one LTE at time, another user is worried about same issue (not have a Z3 dual, going to buy one)

T Mobile = No dual sim card access?

I do not see any dual sim options in the settings, so we got screwed out of this feature?
The only ones that have dual Sim capability are the duos devices.

Who actually uses dual sim?

I am looking at maybe getting a dual sim phone and I was thinking of use the second sim slot to get a prepaid card for data only for better coverage. Does anyone use their dual sim feature? Do you use it how I want to use mine? What is your backup data sim (there doesn't seem to be any that you can buy data for a sim and not have it expire.)

Huawei p20 lite dual sim

Hi everybody,
I have the huawei p20 lite dual sim initially it gives me no service if I insert only 1 sim however if I insert a 2nd sim card then it reads my primary sim for calls but then I can only use my primary sim for calls. On the 2nd sim which would normally be your data sim it says no service, Now if i go into dual sim settings and disable either 1 of the 2 sims then the other sim says no service.
So my question is how can I setup the huawei p20 lite to use 1 sim for both data and calls.
