Love my 6P, has anyone found a battery case? - Nexus 6P Accessories

Hi Everyone,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I switched over from a Note 4 a few months ago to my 6p and am loving the phone and it's 128 gb storage.
The battery life is amazing but I am able to kill the battery with unusually heavy usage by 3 or 4 pm a few days a week. Others I work with have iPhone with battery cases so their phones last.
I have been unable to find a battery case for the 6p as exists for iPhone and the nexus 6.
Carrying an external battery pack and wire is not always an option- have forgotten it more than a few times.
Is anyone else here wishing they had a battery case for their nexus 6p as much as I am?
I see myself having this phone for a few years and would love to double it's battery life.

No battery cases as of yet. With the Nexus 6p probably approaching its end of life soon i doubt there will ever be one.

Why do you feel it's approaching the end of it's life?

I think he means since the new nexus is always released around sept/oct so this one will be old by then. But for sure it will last a few years given that all nexus devices are given updates from google.

I was hoping someone would make one and emailed a few vendors, one named ZeroLemon wrote back and said they expect to have a battery case available for sale at the beginning of next month. I Hope it's the case as the half life of a Nexus 6P is much longer than phones that don't get updates..
Dear Customer,
Thanks for your interst. The item for Nexus 6P will be available at the beginning of the next month. Please pay attention to the official website and Facebook page.

Exactly. The new nexus will be released soon meaning this one won't be sold anymore. And since the Nexus has a lot smaller following than say the iPhone or galaxy it's both with it to accy manufacturers to make accy after the fact.
But yes software wise we have awhile

I'm on the lookout for the battery case too. ZeroLemon is about our only hope.

[Q] Still a Doubt on Chichitech 1800mah (just placing)

So this (http://www.htcexpress.com/batteries...-battery-sprint-verizon-incredible-droid.html) seems to be one of the best batteries aroung as well as the Mugen 1800mah. My question is, while Mugen should fit perfectly, I couldn't understand, after reading most of batteries thread till page 6, if the Chichitec need the label to be pulled out, someting to be cut, or fits perfectly.
Then, if something is needed, would there be any risk.
And the last thing, which one would be better in terms of runtime?
thanks
In the future, just drop your questions in the battery threads.
Using these batteries that are not meant for the G2 is fairly straightforward. The only truly necessary thing is to take the wrapper off of the battery, and then use a portion of it to cover up the part of the battery that would be touching the SD card slot in the phone; that's the only risk, the phone may short out if the two metals touch each other.
I believe both of them offer similar battery life; both stay true to their capacities, and are quality batteries. I bought the Anker 2-battery set and am very happy with it.
Going from stock to evo 4g battery then to a mugen 3600 mah, i would never go back. I dont give a crap about the bulk when I can play n64oid for an hour or two a day without any scare ill run out of battery. Without emulators I hit about 65-70% when I lay down at night. With stock I would hit 20% or so at night.

How do the Anker 2battery from amazon compare to the stock battery? Does it last much longer?
Since this thread was already bumped...
Can someone gimme a link to, or tell me where to find this huge "Battery Thread" that I see people keep referring to? I've searched and looked all over, and I find all kinds of battery related threads, but don't think I've come across the "epic" battery thread. It should probably be a sticky... then again, since I'm a noob, for all I know it probably is.
I don't understand why people would still buy the chichi battery when you need to modify, clip tape, etc. if you can just buy the Mugen which fits perfectly. I think people originally bought the chichi battery because there wasn't an extended one yet for the G2, but now you've got lots of options.
Plus, the one and only time I ever bought anything from chichi tec I had to return it and they wouldn't answer any emails and don't have a phone to call, I had to file a claim in PayPal before I could get a refund for my "guaranteed return".
i've had an awesome experiance with chichitec i plan on buying another perhaps mugen though more expensive, and really, seriously, the modifications are a joke, took me 15 seconds to do....anyone who complains about that should get over it. You are on a forum where we modify, hack, and otherwise tweak and customize our phones way beyond what the manufacturer intended so taking the label off a battery is just too easy a mod to complain about lol. Anyways never used a mugen but i get 25 hours plus moderate use with my chichitec so zero complaints here, especially when they are dirt cheap.
Check this one: GOLD BATTERY
...Im not sure but I think somebody else has posted this link in another thread.
I will go for this one myself, as I do hate my HTC DZ not lasting more than a day, but I would dread making it twice as thick! ...this battery (despite the alleged huge capacity 2430 mAh!! ) manages to maintain the original/OEM battery size...

ordered it @ weekend (And early in monday i got mail that said my order got dispatched), its been one full week now. Haven't seen it yet, hoped it would come last Friday, but no. if i don't see it this week, going to start asking some questions and getting my money back.
Also found that local store sells some kind 1500MAh batteries for DZ, might just grab one of those. Looks like it's X-power.

[Q] Nexus 5 now or wait?

Hi
I want to know if I should buy the current Nexus 5 or if I should wait for a new Nexus phone with perhaps a 64-bit processor.
As of now I have a HTC One X that has some major issues with the battery or something related to power consumption when using the camera, so I really want another phone.
But should I hold on to my One X a little longer and buy the new Nexus phone that might or might not come out, or should I just buy the current Nexus 5 right away?
Why do you think we have the answer?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Buy a used one now. Resell it whenever you want to upgrade.
Yep, get one off eBay and enjoy it on XDA!

I'm in exactly the same position, my hox gets about 60 minutes screen on time, even with a new battery.
It may be over 3 months until the next Nexus mobile. Could you put up with your One X for that long? You wont be disappointed with the N5, it is still a major upgrade from the hox.
I have just ordered my second nexus 5 32gb Bright red (Someone stole my First) BUY IT ! This phone is amazing, one of the best I have bought in my life. If the nexus 6 comes out in november I would probably keep my N5 , but if the N6 is a major upgrade I will sell my n5 with the box, accessorie etc. for like 300-350$ So the N6 will cost me around 125-150$ if google keep the nexus series low-prices.
At the end it is a good purchase in all point !

[Q] ZeroLemon Samsung Galaxy S4 3000mAh Battery

I'm thinking about buying the ZeroLemon Samsung Galaxy S4 3000mAh Battery. Any opinions? I heard zerolemon was a pretty good company but I just wanted to confirm.
I bought mine about a month a go and I can definitely feel the difference in the duration of screen-on time. I went from like 4.5 hours to 5 hours roughly. More than worth the price.

thanks. I'll probably buy them then. 8.99 is a great price haha!
Bought my pair a few months ago. I don't remember the last time I actually plugged my phone into a charger. I just swap the batteries from the phone to the wall charger. I usually get about 15 hours of decent use, about 3.5 hours of screen time, out of each. It's a great buy.

Man i've tried emailing bastexwireless but they said they don't have any in stock.. still waiting for something i'll let you know if i find anything..
Does this battery add any bulk, size wise I mean, to the phone? I know the weight will probably be heaver but I had an extended battery for my old Photon 4G and had to go without a case on it because of the size of the battery. I don't want to have to do that but this battery looks promising from what I see.
maybe its matter, maybe not... but note that this battery do not have NFC chip.
i also thought about to buy that battery, but for me, the lack of this NFC chip is a deal breaker.

U will perhaps find it slightly harder to put the battery cover on, but it will fit the same way as stock. Cases wouldn't be an issue.

They took nfc away so it can have a slightly higher battery capacity.
The battery very slightly bulges at the back. If you have a very very specific tight fitting case you will notice the slight inconsistancy. I had one that fit the Galaxy S4 specifically however once the battery was put in, it created a few mm gap.
I initially found the battery to add about 30 min extra however, it began to lose it capacity after a few months then became the same if not worse than the stock.
No NFC, bulge, same battery capacity wasn't worthwhile. I bought from bastexwireless and they were a pain to deal with so if you buy expect to make it a permanent purchase. I tired to contact zerolemon as well and they just gave me the runaround.

I would say the lifespan of holding its charge is pretty similar to the original samsung battery. Under heavy daily use, it would take abt 3 mths I reckon, for it to start losing its capacity bit by bit. It's just the way they are, so I would still get the zerolemon's since they are pretty cheap compared to samsung's. Over here where I live, the original samsung battery is only sold with the extra battery kit, and it costs abt 30usd. I alr got that so it would still be worthwhile for me to ship the zerolemon's over as I don't stay in the US.
Regarding bastex's customer service, I emailed them once regarding their poorly made wall charger. They responded pretty quickly and offered to send me a new one, as well as 2 new batteries since mine had alr bloated up due to months of heavy use. I guess the bloating issue pretty common. So maybe not all their staff provide quality support. [emoji41]
I just got mine this week. This is day 3 of using it. It seems to do a little better, but I'm still in the break-in phase of the battery. I like the extra weight, as it gives the phone a more substantial feel. It fits fine in my otterbox (defender series, I think). Haven't tested it in my seidio obex case yet. I used their battery with my Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and loved it. I expect good things with it.
I just ordered a single battery ($9.XX, with shipping). I didn't need the second battery, or that external battery charger.
Zerolemon's 7.5Ah batteries for Galaxy S4
Zerolemon's 7.5Ah batteries for Galaxy S4, I ordered 3 from e-bay with 2 chargers. The batteries are heavier than the phone and with case is more than twice as thick(deep) as original phone. Width and length are slightly larger too but not appreciably so. Big plus is am never tethered to wall and each battery will last 20+ hours of constant Internet use. Simply swap batteries after running it until <= 2%; one is typically always on charger. Phone with case/battery carries nicely in a LBT Holster.
The zerolemon wall charger is really low quality. It works (charges ur batt from zero to full in abt 4-5 hrs) for the first few weeks, and then takes longer and longer to charge.
Another alternative to never having to charge your phone on the wall is to get the official samsung extra battery kit. That charger is top notch. I got that and use it with my zerolemon's. So I don't need to deal with a huge bulky extended battery either.
It's a small bit bigger than the original battery. It makes putting on your battery cover a little bit more difficult, but not bad. I have a defender case and it makes it just a little tighter.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Free mobile app
So far, my zero lemon 3000 mah battery isn't performing too great. I think I'm going to try and return it for another one to see if the ladder is better. I get about 4 hours of screen on time.

[Q] To buy or not to buy?

Hey guys. Just looking for your opinions: Is the Nexus 5 a good phone to buy now? I'm upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus (Old hardware and laggy software, even on custom Roms and kernels) and looking for a cheap phone with decent internals and smooth performance. Is it a phone that is likely to last, in terms of future proofing? Is there any other decent cheap alternatives with a lightweight OS and good hardware?
My quick opinion, is that the Nexus 5 is awesome. Beautiful, fast, and great support.
I bought it 2 months ago for 215€ and I am loving it every day.
About lasting it for long, I can't really say. The battery and limited storage may be an issue on the long term (so far great on both, but non-removable and no micro-sd), but I usually change my phone about every 12-18 months, so not really a concern for me: I buy a great, "cheap" phone every year (then re-sell it to recover part), to enjoy them. And so far, I enjoy my Nexus 5 like a little boy.
Thanks very much for the reply I'm more convinced to get it now!!
I would get something with more battery life. Preferably with more than 3000mah. But you coming from a gnex, anything is an upgrade haha

AliExpress Batteries

Hi, I was wondering if someone on here bought replacement batteries on AliExpress and could provide some feedback is it worth or they are selling low quality products that will lose it's capacity or explode, leak by 1 month of using?
I'm very much at a new battery stage and would mind some first hand experience, or ANYWHERE I can buy quality batteries that haven't sat around for years or half ruined...

I would be interested to hear as well. From what I see on Ebay/Amazon, many batteries are pulls from old phones, even when they are advertised as new (there is glue on the back, etc). Which means unless your battery is totally dead it won't offer much improvement. Particularly if they are abused by sitting on shelves for a year discharged.
I do know the OEM battery has a manufacturing date on the bottom, however I really doubt they are still being made.
I have looked for batteries made by reputable 3rd party makers like Anker but they seem to cater to the removable battery phone, not internal.
I don't care about it being original, but it sure needs to be good. Seems we have no options so far.
My Nexus 4 battery died and I had to change it.
The first battery I got was from https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SMMFWZQ
It worked well but after 3 months, I was back to 50% capacity. It seemed like a reconditioned battery. It had a date on it which was January 2015. However the label had been tampered with, some sections were blacked out with a marker.
So I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00X1USMBA
This seems to be a new battery made out of new cells.
After one month this battery still holds 100% charge.
I bought the one mentioned in the battery thread in this forum back in January of 2016 and have not had any issues.

where you buy the battery from ?
I bought a battery on AliExpress last week, it took 10 days from order to delivery to Belgium (impressive).
I haven't installed it in my Nexus 4 yet (still waiting for the tools to come... shipping not as fast as wth the battery lol)
at least it looks very new. will report back once I install it and test it for a few days.

The product webpage says "CUUSEY" as the brand so it's most likely a 3rd party copy (or a reconditioned battery)
you can find it here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...s-For-LG-Google-Nexus-4-E960/32659188109.html

I finally installed my battery over the weekend. So far so good. Battery life doubled (I'm running the fake nexus marshmallow rom). I can finally go out for drinks without taking my power pack (had barely 4 hours of usage (not SOT) before!)
Sadly, a few days before I swapped the battery, the digitizer on my N4 finally gave up (like on so many others) and I have a vertical dead zone on my screen. I don't really feel like investing time and money to replace it so this is the end of the road for my good ol' Nexus 4. Hopefully a Pixel XL will replace it next month.

I've received the battery from AliExpress. It looks like it is a fake battery. Installed it just now.
Will post about how it performs in this week :fingers-crossed:
Edit 1: After using it for 12 hours, I'm very much disappointed to see that I'm getting less backup than my 4 year old battery (I understand this is just initial period but I was not expecting this ). See attached screenshot of battery drain.
Edit 2: On very second day of this new battery, the phone switched off when battery was 18%... Opened a dispute on AliExpress straightaway. This is 100% fake battery
