Updating problem

Hi
my phone was rooted a month ago. i really wasn't cool with it, so i flashed the stock recovery and turned the phone into relocked state.
now i wanna install the update my phone received. but when i press install, it goes to fastboot screen with title of "security update" and nothing happens.
What should i do ?

hello, i have same issue, i had rooted my device (i have no option because i have to fix my frequency network error by selecting "USA BAND"),..
I got notification that "available software update: 2.33.707.6, so i download it, but when im installing with TWRP, the result is failed,. Maybe anyone have clue or solution?

thanks for reply. how do i get the exact stock recovery for my phone ? cause i searched for it and couldn't a compatible stock recovery.

Search a Ota zip with your Rom version the recovery file is in this ota ...extract the ota.zip in it is a firmware.zip extract this zip too and you find recovery.img

When you have a mec_ul_emea single sim with one of this cid s htc_001, htc_j15,htc_a07 or htc_102 you can use it

hi. i finally found a compatible recovery img. but i have another problem. as i mentioned before, i locked bootloader myself again right after flashing a stock rom (which i guess wasn't compatible with my phone). now when i try to flash the stock rom, it says i have to unlock bootloader. when i try too unlock it and press the final button, it goes to a page with title of "entering recovery" and i get stock there forever. so i just get my phone restart and come back to life. do u have any idea why it stocks there ? how to solve it ?

ok guys ... now i faced a very bad problem
i flashed the recovery file. everything was good. then i tried updating software from "about phone" section. update was going well. then phone tried to boot... now it's frozen at htc logo screen.... what should i do ?
no one is awake right now ? seriously ?

Flash a clean twrp backup install a clean twrp backup of your Rom wipe after install dalvic and cache and then install the stock recovery must the same recovery as your Rom and update

one e8 running problem after RUU !

hey guys ,
first of all excuse me for my bad english .
i have an euro one e8 single (401).
i didnt get the update message and recently try to update manually from Ruu
so , i found a 2.34.401.5 ruu.zip from xda and try to install it using sd card .
then i get the error the device halted due large image update failed .
and try to install it with adb , but nothing changed , then i just download the 2.33.401.5 Ruu.exe and try to install it and i faced the version error that said the current version is newer then the 2.33.401.5 , and now , i can only access to bootloader, also i couldnt find any newer version of ruu ,
so please help me what to do , is it possible to downgrade ? or does someone has the ruu files or a stock ruu ?
and the bootloader is locked and the phone is S-on also

Yes unlock ...soff you need to downgrade firmware ....

sir my phone can not use fastboot orders due to usb maintainning errors any other way to unlock bootloader and get my phone back/me same problem after flashing RUU. i have recovery stock working only on phone
[Europe][Single][M8sn][mec_ul_emea][CID HTC__001,HTC__J15,HTC__A07,HTC__102][OPAJ30000]

same problem but fixed!!!!
i have HTC One E8 with same problem "device halted due to large image update fail"but i discovered that RUU file i downloaded is corrupted and bricked my phone but when downloaded complete one from here:

This file was referenced on and I downloaded it twice. Both are corrupted and won't install with md5

When you are s-off then downgrade firmware and flash ruu if s-on then restore clean twrp and flash stock recovery and update

Install clean twrp back ...also complete stock backup then install the stock recovery relock bootloader make factory reset after restore backup then start phone and update

You must extract backup.zip to SD in the twrp backup folder and then restore don't install zip

tried om M8sb (Dual SIM), Installed the rom didnt boot kept taking me to recovery again and again. tried after flashing the Kernel and the phone was stuck on the boot animation for about 25 minutes, after 25 minutes i quit waiting

can you port or build slim 7 rom for htc e8? e8 and m8 are like other except camera and kernel.if you can port slim7 from m8 to e8 would be great.slim roms is best aosp base rom

Mate 9 Update problem

Regards to all,
I have a problem with the new update, I have model MHA-L29C185B158 this is last update which I have on the phone. I tried to use Online to update the phone, but I don`t have released update.

Thank you for your prompt response, I tried over HiCare App and it shows the same - No Updates - The current version is up to date !
I did not try to get my SIM card out, I'll try it now !

You need a SIM Card to update you phone. I see you have the middle east/Africa version from the Mate 9. In which country do you use it?

I tried with the card, I tried without a card.... I am from Serbia and the phone was brought from Hungary...

Now the question is, is it really the middle east version or the European version with a middle east firmware on it? Can you send pictures from your original packaging from the Mate 9? And send me your IMEI in a private message please, I will check your IMEI that I can see what for a version do you have.
