Android-x86 is a project to get android up and running on x86 architecture. It is currently ran by just two people, and 1.6 is more or less completely functional on Eeepc and Dell Mini's.
However, progress has slowed, and the developers are beginning to lose interest due to the current community following. A large amount of the followers of the project demand things, and give little back, often getting angry if they are not instantly provided what they want. This is a scourge of most opensource or hack projects, but especially so here, as the project has had little interest from other devs, leaving them on their own.
Whilst I do not have the ability to give a whole lot of help myself (yet), I desperately think this project should succeed, and am asking any able developers with free time who are up for seeing Android up on a new platform to give it a go.

The homepage is here: http://www.android-x86.org/
Thanks for reading, and thanks for any support you are able to give these guys.
Hi all, It is with great pleasure that I address to all the guys willing and experienced community of XDA the invitation to become part of CapasOS, CapasOS is a project that is part of the Capas-Project a multiplatform project, we are now looking Android developer to continue the evolution of CapasOS enlarge and to do so more and more; advocates are simply looking for Android developers but if you want to put of commitment and want to spread CapasOS also on your device you can still propose replying to this topic (then still be made following a topic of each section for each device). AndroTech is proud to announce its' first major appearance on xda! Kudos!
We are currently recruiting developers. Feel free to look at our website to read more about us and what projects we develop.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS...
Q: What exactly does AndroTech develop?
A: We build android applications. Our moddo is to build android apps that appeal to what the people want.
Q: How big is AndroTech?
A: AndroTech Development team is a small organization with very few people. But with some more recruitments, we will have our first application built in no time!
Q: So you haven't built even just one application yet?
A: Well in short, no. But like we said, our organization is small and just started! Give us a month or so, and we will have our first application on the android market before you know it!
Q: Sounds like you got your stuff together. But I don't want to be a developer, I just want to donate. Is that possible?
A: Not yet, because the donation portion of the website is still under maintenance, but check back later and it should be up!
Q: What skills exactly do you need to have to be accepted to join AndroTech?
A: It is actually very easy to join AndroTech! We are all small town people just like the average Joe, and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. As long as you have knowledge in Java, XML, HTML (or even just one of the 3) you can become one of us!
Once again, we are recruiting developers! You may join us by going to our website, located at the top of this post!
If I haven't answered all of your questions about my organization, you may feel free to post below to add any feedback or comments!

Maybe some of you have already seen the the crowd funded project to develop the Volla Phone with a Google-free custom ROM, that is now close to shipping. This is just the beginning of the next steps. We want to make an alternative for Stock Android popular for consumers and need to reinforce the developer team.
We also want to publish the source code of this system on GitHub and already started with the custom Volla Launcher. You can find our GitHub project by the name "hellovolla".
Does someone know freelancers, that are interested to contribute in part time? Or can you recommend job boards to find them? The Volla project is an idealistic project to protect the users privacy and make this available for consumers, that are not able to flash a Smartphone on their own.
Here is the link of our job offering: https://volla.online/blog/files/october-jobs.html
In case, that his link is blocked you can combine volla-dot-online with /blog/files/october-jobs.html
Unfortunately I can't help directly but hope for lot's of answers for you!
