Hi, Im using Android (Note 2) and looking for an app called Screendimmer from IOS. Here is the youtube about how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB4VWhZtU5c
I use this for whatsapp. While Im chatting and waiting for a reply, the phone usually turn off and I have to press the power button to wake it up. My friend who is using Iphone showed me that he installed Screendimmer on Cydia and solved all the problems above.
I tried to use "tasker" together with "screen filter" but I failed to do that. So is there any app in Android that has the same function like ScreenDimmer?

Thanks. However, both apps do not meet my needs. They just provide the ability to adjust the screen brightness.

If ur rooted then install chainsfire 3d, in which u can coose night mode, also u can customize the color to become dim.

Firstly, Im using note2 with android 4.1.2 so chainsfire does not support.

I have been looking for this app for Android but I found nothing. It is available for IOS users and I think It should support Android too :silly:

Yes I also tried that app but it is not what I need. The main reason that I am finding this app is that I dont need to press the power button everytimes I am waiting an message/whatsapp/viber/facebook. The screen will automatically dim (it does not like the screen time out that auto lock the screen after x seconds) and it will come light when I touch the screen. It can save battery (by dimming the screen at the lowest brightness...nearly black) and the power button also.
waiting for some developers who can build an app like this :victory:
P/S: I have an idea that we can use Tasker and Screen Filter, and set a loop with a condition that when a specific app is open (whatsapp for example), if in 10 seconds, there is no touch on screen (I left the phone there for 10seconds) it will activate Screen Filter (that set at the lowest brightness) to dim the screen (not lock it); then when the phone receives touch, Screen Filter will be disable. In that 10seconds, if there is touch occured, it will recount another 10seconds again. I am not a IT guy so I can not do it myself. Can anyone try this?

I'd like to lock one screen from viewing. For example: On the left screen there is business related stuff which should not be seen by other people. If you scroll to this screen, it would be nice if there will show up a black window with the message: "This screen is locked. Please enter your password." - After entering the password the screen will unlock itself and you can browse through your files, apps and widgets on this screen.
Is there any app?

Sorry i misunderstood your qustion, smart app lock won't help you only with locking apps.
maybe try to download a different launcher like go launcher it might help you but not sure.

There is actually no free version on google play and the free app is only for XDA users. i couldn't attach the apk in the thread as it said the apk is too large to be uploaded to XDA.

The application has small problems of internationalization - some screens are always in English, some are translated, and some are a strange mixture.

In case you want to buy full version, then its required, so that app remembers your account & when you want to reinstall full version it will know it was you. this is generally remembered b google itself but free version is not uploaded on playstore and being offered to only XDA users. hope this clears your concern

Thanks. I've installed It. All seems ok until select SET WALLPAPER and nothing take place. The live wallpaper doesn't set on. . Anyway thank you.

I have found so far flux NFC overlay completely disabled the quicksetting icon.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced bootloop using this.
It's happened twice with me (S10+) and I have to boot to safe mode, install default theme, clear data in Substratum Light & Synergy, then reboot.

Yes couldn't get OTA updates after flashing with dload and hstools wouldn't work, because it took Optus 5 months to release an initial update I convinced them to release my contract and renew on a different handset.
Now all I need to make my phone perfect is immersive mode for all apps

So awesome! I FINALLY have blacked out apps again! It was the one thing I really disliked about going back to an unrootable phone, not having black Gmail, play store, etc. and this solved it for me!

No doesn't affect battery life, I can still get a solid 9 to 10 hrs screen on time with 18 hrs standby.
Just restricted background data and put synergy substratum lite and all themes to sleep.
Working fine.
Anyone else having issues with synergy?
I go tho the play store hit open and get right back to the same screen.

In case you can't read. If I go to the play store and I'm able to hit open its because I purchased it already. If I need a smart ass answer I know who to ask thanks.

I can read just fine. You get that message when you have certain app stores that have pirated apps on your device.

I noticed that my Cinema Library app is gone, my shortcut disappeared from home screen and can't find it anywhere. In Cinema Pro I can still access it but there is no stand alone version anymore. This is very annoying because now I have to enter Cinema Pro to access movies and projects. Anyone having this issue or is it just me?

I had the same issue before but it randomly worked after a few days. Maybe you should wait it out?
In any case, it's a Sony app and they should be aware of it.
