Has anybody confirmed good lock working for them? I've downloaded the latest version from apkmirror.com and it doesn't work for me. It seems to install like normal but SystemUI is glitched and stuck on my wallpaper, giving me only access to the good lock notification bar. Eventually it gives me a message saying I have to restart my phone and it all goes away. Anyone know what the problem is?
It works fine on my device..

Anyone else experiencing this? Any workarounds? This is annoying me.
I did at first boot. I then uninstalled Google Voice and reinstalled and all was well.
I get it at first boot everytime I reboot I'm going to uninstall it and reinstall and see how that goes
I also get the GV FC. I'm on Fresh 1.1. Haven't tried uninstalling.
I just re-installed. Made no difference.

The onyl thing you can do is find a lower version and install it. The latest version doesn't play nicely with Sense.

Can someone post a working version? I'd appreciate it.
I reboot my phone like once a week. So what's the big deal? Its not like there's anything wrong when you use the app.

Actually I have the Hero and Samsung Moment, and it happens to both phones oddly enough

Why? The *current* one works just fine. Just don't get click-happy.
If you think you need to reboot the phone, LEAVE IT ALONE, give SenseUI a chance to init, and it won't FC.
If you're the type that immediately unlocks the phone, only to be greeted by the spinning "Loading" message, it's going to crash. Deal with it.

If I recall correctly, I have rebooted my phone and allowed it plenty of time to load and still was greeted by a force close message.
I attempted to search the forums for this issue being brought up before, but I was greeted only with people begging for invites.
I was just curious if there was a workaround. Perhaps I am the only one experiencing this issue.

No, ur not alone...I experience the exact same thing. My workaround (as someone wrote earlier) is to just use a slightly older version (I use build 0.2.8).

This issue has been reported to Google and appears to effect 1.5 phones (with or without sense).
I'm not convinced that Google is listening, but it *has* been reported.

I can verify that GoogleVoice is NOT force closing on AOSP 2.0.1 (the one with live wallpapers running).

Every time I try to launch it, I get a message that says "Unfortunately, News and Weather has stopped."
Haven't changed anything on the phone. It was working this morning, but when I tried it this afternoon, kept getting the error.

Likewise here in New Zealand on a Note 3. Fine last night, no good today. Have uninstalled, rebooted, tried several different apks now out there (1.3.11 being the newest) - all the same result. I sincerely hope this is a temporary thing, I depend on that app and really dislike the less flexible and more data-hungry alternatives like NewsHog.

exact same thing here. only "new" thing i could remember was a chrome update last night (could definitely be another thing.. jus sayin). now the news and weather app doesn't work just as you guys described. no amount of data clearing and reinstallation works on my ics. - vancouver

Having same difficulty here with an HTC One, Android version 4.3, HTC Sense 5.0, Software number 3.24.531.3, HTC SDK API level 5.45. Likewise, have tried Force Close, clearing Data, clearing Cache. Seems to work once phone is rebooted; text and the local wx/temp shows up. However, when I click on the Genie widget, I (1) first see a progress bar at the bottom of a plain black field, then (2) get the popup, "Unfortunately, News & Weather has stopped. (OK)."
Agreed, it's an invaluable app which came installed on my One. Please fix if possible. Thanks!

Fixed here also now.
I had no Chrome update yesterday that I recall, and updated nothing today except for reinstalls of this app. If you think Chrome was the issue, maybe try winding its version back in app manager?
But I'm guessing it was unrelated, and therefore hopefully your app will come right also in the near future.

Yes, it's working fine as of this morning's reboot. Temporary glitch, apparently. Maybe related to "Google's server down" issue? Whatever it was...it's good to go now. Thanks!

I dont have enough posts to put this in the rom thread, so i hope someone can help me here.
I don't know if this is a rom problem or my phone is just going crazy, but, after installing elementaryUX, sometimes, not always, touchscreen doesn't work in the top area of the screen, below the notification bar. the strange is that i can access and open the notification bar without any problem and, when i do that a couple of time, the touchscreen below the bar begin to work again for a while, and then it fails again. Any ideas?

i just bought this note edge and i have a problem. i get the error that the cocktail bar has stopped working whenever i try to open a folder on the edge screen. Im currently on the russian 5.1.1 that was posted on this forum. But the error existed on the 5.0.1 OTA version i had. I have done factory reset but it doesnt help.
i first thought it was the night clock mode that caused it because it worked for about 10 min after i disabled it. anyone have a clue to what is causing it? i dont want to return it, but if it doesnt get fixed i have to.
i have the verizon ellipsis qutar7 tablet and i use only for my security system as a monitor and for the most part is does a good job, but i keep getting play store has stopped or messenger has stopped or a few other error messages. the table still seems to show the cameras working in the background but had to see some with the popup on the screen.
so does anyone here have a fix for this? i have tried about all i can to try to fix it but even resetting it has not helped. i have notices turned off so i do not get those taking up resourses. i tried turning off all the apps that i did nto need or use and or disabling others and that did not help. i still get a few notices in the top as icons. but i would like the popups errors to go away for good.
maybe someone knows of an app tha tcan monitor this and stop them? or maybe an app that will restart the tablet at night and then restart the apps you want to be running?
