elementaryUX Touchscreen Problem - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

I dont have enough posts to put this in the rom thread, so i hope someone can help me here.
I don't know if this is a rom problem or my phone is just going crazy, but, after installing elementaryUX, sometimes, not always, touchscreen doesn't work in the top area of the screen, below the notification bar. the strange is that i can access and open the notification bar without any problem and, when i do that a couple of time, the touchscreen below the bar begin to work again for a while, and then it fails again. Any ideas?

No audio after deep-sleep

Hi to all,
I'm using revolver 4.2.0 ROM on ASUS TF101. I've noted that the audio does't work after deep sleep. It happens often If I use skype.
I have to restart my device every time.
Has anyone observed this kind of bug?
Thanks

Solved updating to JB AOSP. Seems to happen only with Skype working in background.
Thanks
I've installed skype once on my TF101... I'll look tonight if it's still installed ! It was a long time ago, and i've done a few reset since then !
We just have to wait for Asus to release JB so lol
edit : skype uninstalled ! I'll see if I still have sound problem...
No issue this weekend... so far so good !
Thanks gianoct for the tip !
I've spoke too fast.
For one week now, I reboot twice a day to have sound back !! :crying:
This is happening to me too (AOKP JP and CM10), with Skype not having ever been installed. If I reboot, the sound will work flawlessly, but when I turn the screen off I'll hear the lock "click", and when I turn the screen back on I'll get a garbled half-click unlock, and no sound thereafter until a reboot. Going to grab a logcat tonight and see if I can at least figure out a kernel or framework error to work from.
Ok, let us know what you find in your investigations...

I've had this with the stock rom and it's persisting with revolver. Generally seemed to be related to the issue with touchscreen sensitivity being *#@! after deep sleep, though at least touchscreen seems a LOT better with revolver - haven't even had to use the app which fixes that yet.
Found a solution. With the KAT kernel and K.A.T. app you can reinit the DSP and audio comes back! This kernel works with CM10, don't know about revolver

[Q] Notification Settings Area help

All,
Every once in a while, my notification/settings area in the bottom right corner goes awry. Instead of showing all the standard indicators and being pressable, it just shows the clock and battery icon, and is not clickable/pressable. Only way for me to toggle bluetooth, wifi, etc is through the actual settings icon. A reboot/restart fixes it.
Is there a way to fix this when it occurs, without having to reboot? Like a way to just relaunch the notifications/settings area? How do I go about figuring out which app(s), process is causing this?
Thanks so much,
jt

You can try to restart your launcher because a launcher manages and deals with a user interface. You can give it a shot to see if it works out for you next time...

Thanks. I should have mentioned the most recent time it happened, last night, I tried relaunching Apex, and no change at all. So ended up rebooting.

It really depends on how much trouble you are willing to go through to fix this problem....
I can think of several ways to approach it:
If it happens at random without you knowing a combination of factors to reproduce it, it's kinda hard to capture a logcat. But a logcat may tell you what is causing it. I'm not very good at interpreting a logcat either, but you could post it here and some more knowledgeable person may be able to help you.
If you remember what apps you installed since it started to happen, uninstall all those apps, test, reinstall one or two, test again etc.
The horse cure would be to do a factory reset and start fresh. Since I have never heard of anyone with this problem before, the likelihood that it is due to something unique to your setup, is very high.
If even that does not work, I would re-flash the firmware.

Gyro/accelerometer with sky maps

So it doesn't matter what ROM I'm on- seems that something's screwed up with the gyro/accelerometer/magnometer on the phone. When using google sky maps, when I tilt the phone up, like looking over my head, the map spins from left to right. When I tilt down towards my feet, it spins right to left. Is there a fix for this?
hello, exactly same problem here. It doesn't matter what Rom is and i also did factory reset

Ok, I tried to modify this file as noted in this link: https://github.com/sultanxda/propri...mmit/2d48d254d3d330d3d2304e64fef68978611a4d1f and it seems like the bug disappeared. I wanna try at night and see if the stars will match what I see on the screen cause it is hard to test it this way.
Yeah man I'm no developer. Can pretty much just flash and complain about things not working. I'll test stuff if you want.....but you're gonna have to tell me how to get that file there into my phone here.

Thank you man, it works. To make sure it works well, also erase registry file (/data/misc/sensors/sns.reg) and reboot your phone (credit toPsychoI3oy, on https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/NIGHTLIES-1717). Thanks Sultanxda for the PR and I'll work out a flashable zip soon to work around this hassle.
You guys rock
Guys, please flash this zip in recovery mode to apply the fix which was introduced by Sultanxda's PR. You can also flash it right after your nightly's flashed. Additionally, you can write your own addon.d script to survive OTA or dirty/clean installations.
Can anybody tell how can I flash this file in my OPO.
I am having CM12.1
Can we flash using apply update option shown when we reboot device in recovery mode ?

MM bugs

hey guys, i've had a couple of bugs since i flashed MM, not major bugs...but still annoying
1. sometimes some of the apps lose their white background, they return to look like lollipop by themself, i have to disable and enable it again
2. message icon stay at the notification bar even after you read it, you need to open it again for it to disappear
3. finger print scanner, if it works as it should it works really fast, but sometimes it hangs to 3 seconds then it unlocks the phone ( this issue is present also on lollipop)
these are so far the bugs i encountered....is there any solutions? THANKS
Did you try factory reset?

Problem with audio breaking when playing something in background and lock, any help?

Hello!!
I have an issue with my Mate8, I really don't know if this is in all phones or just in mine....
It's when a song or a video is playing, and when the power button is pressed to lock the phone, the audio breaks for like half a second, but if you press the button again to unlock, it do it again, and everytime you press the lock button.... it kinda annoys me a lot.
The rare is that this only happens when the audio is coming from the speakers; when i have anything plugged in (headphones or whatever) it dissapear, and with bluetooth headphones dissapears too.
It happens with all apps, spotify, native app, soundcloud, vlc, poweramp...etc
Thanks a lot!!
Best regards, ElĂas.

I did have this problem previously after flashing a pre-rooted rom of version B320, but it went away after I flashed the stock rom back.
Since you haven't mentioned anything about custom roms and/or rooting, I'm going to assume you're on a stock rom at the moment, in which case I'd suggest a factory reset (backup data 1st of course)
If you're running a customized rom I'd suggest discussing it in whichever thread you got that rom from as the issue may be specific to that rom

No problem, please leave feedback after if it worked or not, may just help someone else down the line...
I'm on B320 and this happens to me too! Please come back and tell us if it disappeared after a factory reset because I might do one as well.

It worked!!! it was very annoying! now it's gone, just a factory reset. :good:
I did a factory reset and it worked fine! but now the problem is back again..... but in a different way, the first time it happened when the lock/unlock button was hitten, but now, is when the home button & recent apps button, is now even more annoying and when i lock/unlock doesn't have the problem.... it's like the problem traslade to the home/recent apps buttons........ what can i do??

I'm wondering if that might be a CPU usage issue, try go to settings - advanced - battery manager - power plan, and set it to performance mode to see if the problem still occurs

SOLVED!
It appears to be some setting in Nova launcher that caused this, i have to install/uninstall a lot to get into this, but 100% sure is some setting in nova, just did a clean reset of the phone and everything superb! reinstalled nova but this time, trying not to modify a lot like before and it's working perfectly.
