What is the size of the update? Can you find the update file in your internal storage and upload in in mega? It's likely to be downloading to a folder "HwOUC".

No, it's got something to do with you being a junior member. I'll post it if you send me a pm with the mega link.

I had the same issue when my "Quick Update" OTA came through (B512), where it simply refused updating.
I worked around the issue by downloading the full package of the build it's trying to update to and installing it through (stock) recovery. The Quick update was the same size, whereas the full package is around 1.3GB (can't remember the exact size off the top of my head, but around there).
I can't really comment on what causes the issue, I was rooted with a custom recovery prior to attempting the update, perhaps it was that...?

ok guys, when you all prompted to another upgrade to b560. pls share with us before you upgrade. pls

Latest software update fails

Hi guys,
Just like other people I have also rooted my Note 3 and flagged/tripped the KNOX counter...
The issue first appeared when I was trying to upgrade from Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) to v4.4.2 (KitKat). The update notification popped, it took roughly 40 minutes to download the firmware and I was then prompted to install. The device then restarted automatically as usual and I received the "Failure to update" window. I have tried couple of times more in case something went wrong with the download but it didn't help. So I had to install the update manually from SamMobile, using Odin and wiping my phone data. Everything went well and I am now enjoying the KitKat version.
Today it seems a new update appeared around 26 MB and I am facing the same issue. After I download the update and hit install, the device will restart and then show the "Failure to update" window.
Is there any way to fix this? Does it mean I can never install the updates automatically?
Please advise and thanks in advance.

Oke, well you can`t install official updates when you are rooted (modified the system)! I suggest you download Mobile Odin Pro from Play and flash the whole new rom from www.sammobile.com and keep root.

Right, so I can just receive the updates but not install them! that's convenient
Do I have to wipe everything again or just install the latest update? Because if I have to wipe everything each time there's an update, I may just cancel the whole update thing until there's something like a major update

You don`t have to wipe as the updates atm are mostly bugfixes. Only wipe cache and dalvik cache after the flash.

Okay I think I got it, so each time there's an update I must download the whole ROM and flash it on top of the current? Since it's the same, it only updates the files that are needed while keeping the rest of the system intact.

Cm-11.0-xnph30o

The Oneplus one factory image can now be downloaded from the offical website
https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/
cm-11.0-XNPH30O-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip
Can this be flashed directly from twrp recovery? if not can anyone please provide me the link.
Does this include all the incremental updates?
If you use this images you have to use fastboot.
Try to copy the address and erase "fastboot" probably you will download a version that you can flash with twrp.

Yes, from here

It's work (I used it) but it's not "official" and, for Official I mean downloaded directly from the Cyanogenmod.

Where have you read about it? I've a stock phone (reflashed everything yesterday) and the only ota I've seen is the xpn300.
Other update are going to came in order to solve some bugs, like sensor and others but, there's no OTA updates other than this.
Or you're talking about Cm11?

After first OTA, the day after they put a second one.
But they are both included in this rom.
And I'm waiting another OTA becouse this rom is really crappy! And they know there's too many bug but didn't put any fix.
I've read all the post, but I probably miss the part where someone talks about other ota update.
If its true that this 1.1 rom included every incremental update then why am i getting heavy battery drain problem, i am so getting confused :crying:

can someone please post a mirror or a bittorrent link? it's impossible to download the file from germany. 14 kb/s. ETA over 10 hours. just spend half of that time downloading it... browser says download complete. but the file is corrupt. so download failed and I spend almost 5 hours downloading that corrupt "crap". yesterday I spent almost the same time downloading 25R and it also failed to download. normally I download everything at 5 MB/s but these 14 kb/s make me crazy. if there is a mirror (I couldn't find any) please post it here
upd: got a mirror from russians. download took 5 mins compared to 10 hours from official factory image link...btw second try... stopped at 190 - downloaded... file corrupt as expected.. because it should be ~500 mb.

It may be because you flashed it manually. And unless we have rollback package for your model you may not be able to rollback to MM. Are you planning to install custom ROM or want to be on stock rom only.
Updater is not there means tou wont get OTA bit test build wont impact anything.
You may need to flash the oeminfo of your model as well.

I want to update to Nougat, cant find my build number in firmware finder list.
Fb group admin (also member here...) suggested to download a B 370 package.
I want to ask will it work for B160?
Also, any link to step by step instructions for update? Sorry, non tech person here...
Note: if i click to dl a package from Firmware finder, it shows dl as a zip file. Once download is complete, then what?
Thanks in Advance.

I would advise to wait for official OTA (as you got the phone yesterday) but if you really want to do it-
Download this- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1279/g104/v82620/f2/full/update.zip
and this http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...cseas/update_data_full_BLL-L22_hw_spcseas.zip
Flash first file and boot to system. Then 2nd and boot.
You need to use dload method as below
Unzip 1st file and extract the package. You will get few files including update.app.
Few suggest to use only update.app file but I would advise, based on my personal experience for all dload method I tried, use all the files.
Create a folder dload under SD card and copy all the files to this folder.
Power off the phone. Remove USB cable, if connected.
Press volume up+volume down keys and simultaneously press power button (3 keys together)
Your phone will automatically detect the package and will start the update process.
Once the update process is successful, you will get a message as update was successful and your phone will restart automatically.
During restart, phone will verify the system image.
This verification and 1st boot may take upto 2-3 minutes so do not panic.
Repeat the same with 2nd zip file.
Good luck. Happy Flashing.

As far as i know rooted phones will not get OTA. You have to manually flash update.zip and root again, because rooting needs bootloader unlock and will not recognise the device in update server. I guess you have to wait for manual update zip...?

You will get OTA on rooted phone but it wont install. Even just replacing the recovery wont help as your stock boot is modified while root. you need to flash the stock boot as well before you will be able to update via OTA.
Stock phone

Any help on how to update this?
Keep getting errors on install
I had the same situation and so did many others, see this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83791697&postcount=112. What I did was unroot -> apply update (standard hit button and wait for download/install) -> re-root with newer FW.
I also encountered the same problem, is there a way to solve it, thank you

Just wait for the system to update itself. You can't manually update until you get the auto system update.
Google this: oneplus system update apkmirror. Download and install. This adds the option to use local update. Do this then copy ota from download to the internal storage main folder.
