Hi guys.
Does the Mate 7 support the feature of Mate 8 that allows you to set the display item sizes to small/medium/large? If so, is it innately available in EMUI 3.0 or you need to upgrade to EMUI 4.0 with the Lollipop/Marshmallow update?
Thanks for immediate answers!

Hello all! I'm considering buying the mate 9 and just had a question about the display. In nougat for the nexus devices there is a setting for both font size and display size. The display size is something that's new and I personally love. Does the Mate 9 have this setting?
Hi wrong place to post, you need to post this in the questions section. Yes you also have that setting in the Mate 9.
settings > display > view mode
it's there any way to simply do it :
- battery life seems to be shorter!!!
- problem with unlock fingerprint when it requests password then (I have solved it with stock widgets for screen lock but takes so much energy
- I miss fingerprint unlock animation when icons spread up (now is just screen on)
- too much white background
I want back 4.1 what makes honor 8 maybe the best android smartphone on the market
From the looks of it. Many users are abandoning Nougat? Too many problems and not just on Honor 8.
Perhaps Google (and its accompanying manufacturers) should be a bit slower in releasing their stuff and test a lot better before releasing it.
My Honor 9 with EMUI 5 has the old timepicker style, referred to as the "spinner". But all new android versions use the "clock" type, which is a lot more intuitive and requires less time to set the desired value.
Any idea on how to force-set the "clock" type systemwide in android? Maybe by editing build.prop in some way?
Still nothing new - anyone got an idea?

I have the exact same question, for the exact same reasons. This is my only major complaint. I have the Huawei Elate, running Nougat.

Do you think Huawei will add our P20 to this project? We could have stock android without this nasty EMUI. For me it woud be greate because i have moved from nexus 6p and i know how good the stock android is even it has not so many features like emui
In OpenKirin's support page (https://openkirin.net/support/) they mentioned they will support EMUI 8.1 devices like P20 in the future. I don't think OpenKirin is associated with Huawei.
I have tried the OpenKirin's RROS rom on my old P10, it was OK except:
1. I can't use the navigation button to navigate, meaning I have to enable the navigation bar and that takes up some screen space
2. The camera in the rom can't take advantage of the P10's dual cameras, lacking in features and photo quality.
So even though I have been a Nexus fan for years and missed the stock UI, I still ended up reverting back to EMUI on the P10.
