might be a noob question, but is there a way to put a different widget/clock on my lock screen or am i stuck with the boring stock one? I'm talking about when my phone is locked, not my desktop.
If you download Samsung's app, Good Lock, in the Galaxy Apps store, you'll have the option to change the lockscreen clock widget. However, with the app, a lot of other things change as well.
I think you're going to have to use a custom lock screen app from the Play Store. There are a bunch on there but most of them don't support the fingerprint scanner, you'll have to use a digit or pattern unlock code.

Greetings,
Is it possible to use android face lock to lock apps rather than the whole device?
I tried the best app on the market & it doesn't has any quality of A.I. detection as the embeded face lock...

Which app did you try? "best app" doesn't really mean anything. And what do you mean by it doesn't have any "quality" of "A.I" Detection? Just so we know what you're looking for. Do you mean that the Face recognition doesn't work well?
the best face detection lock is the stock one, you should try to find an application that shows lock screen window every time you launch your app...

I meant that the best face unlock app (face lock for apps) in the market doesn't have the quality of original one embedded in android (/system/app/FaceLock.apk), is it possible to use it instead of market apps?

Ok. Gotcha.
Probably not in an easy straight forward way.
Easiest way would probably be market apps.
Have you tried

Hi, everybody!
I've got a question regarding the privacy of screens on my android device.
I'd like to lock one screen from viewing. For example: On the left screen there is business related stuff which should not be seen by other people. If you scroll to this screen, it would be nice if there will show up a black window with the message: "This screen is locked. Please enter your password." - After entering the password the screen will unlock itself and you can browse through your files, apps and widgets on this screen.
Is there any app?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks. Downloaded the app but can't see any option to protect a whole screen. Am I missing something? It would be nice if you can explain it!

The EMUI music player is in fullscreen when on locksreen. Is there a way for the spotify to play just like that?
i would like this too. I didn't even know the stock player showed up in the lock screen since i've never opened it lol
Change lockscreens, I recommend Floatify but check out some of the options on the Play Store and pick the one you like.

Will you still be able to unlock the device via fingerprint when using 3rd party lock screens?

Cool. Will try that
You can set spotify to be the default music player in the EMUI settings and that will probably make it show up on the stock lockscreen. It works for Google Music!
3rd party lock screens tend to cause more trouble than they're worth: Dual lock screens, slower unlock times, battery drain, or incompatible with smart lock security bypass... just to name a few.

When I go to the default music player setting I don't see Spotify as an option, just my podcast app, the music app, and Google music app. If someone manages to get Spotify as default player, would love to know!

This is really just fearmongering, I'm using a 3rd party on this very device and I'm not experiencing any of the problems you're discussing. Battery drain is one potential issue but I've not seen any appreciable extra consumption.

I'm glad that it's writing for your needs, but it wasn't nearly as seamless for me. Besides, I like the minimal look of the stock lock screen. I just had to add Nils notifications on top to get proper lock screen notifications.

But adding Nils notifications drains battery!
Likewise glad that's working for you, but don't make sweeping generalizations.

I qualified my original statement by saying "tend to" and still stand by it. And Nils barely cracks the top 20 of my power consuming apps... I couldn't say the same for any 3rd party launcher I've used.

Floatify, also not in top 20.
All I'm saying is that your statements aren't correct. I have no interest in arguing with you, I'm just making corrections to your incorrect statements for the benefit of everyone else reading this thread.
I am trying to find an application or something to remove everything from my lock screen, or a replacement that let's you use your fingerprint and can be made blank. I am rooted, running substratum, and on the latest version of PixelDust.

substratum LockClean
look it up
I have tried this, and it either does nothing, or crashes substratum and makes me redo everything.

hmmm... must be your ROM.
works great on stock. I keep the clock, disable / hide everything else. black background.
I've tried that too. On stock pixel 2 and it never works all the way. I really want that damn clock gone. Lol. I tried other lockscreens but they have ads.

So I found an app that solves this. The guy who made kustom widget gt has made kustom lock screen app and posted it under early access in the play store. And it's exactly what I want. A simple lock screen with just a picture and a lock on it. Gives you tons of options. I'm thinking of going pro to play around with all the features.
Wondering if someone can please help me to remove this circle area. I don't really want that on home screen. I could rather use widget.
It is not possible without root or another launcher.
Home Settings - At A Glance
Google really fakced up this time. Probably said before but they're really lost!

Yes you can, this has been posted and explained here before not too long ago. You need to be rooted and if I'm correct use the xposed framework

Exactly , I was about to post that screenshot to ask lol. Just received 7 pro a hour ago and was setting it up. Thanks bud.
As an alternative, you can just set up another home screen without At A Glance.
Lawnchair or nova your best bet
I used Niagara for a couple of days and paid for the full version this morning. Love the 'empty' screen!
Please tell me how to remove this information from the locked screen? a flashlight also appears instead of the date ((very annoying. There are no lock screen settings in AOSP.

Are you using a Pixel 7?
Your best bet for fixing the flashlight issue is to probably install a Pixel Launcher, stock or modded and customize your At A Glance settings. As for the lock screen weather, not so sure you can turn that one off.

I installed the standard pixel, turned off everything that was possible, the flashlight disappeared, but I can’t remove the date and weather. phone pixel 7 pro
Home Settings >> At a Glance >> See more features >> Disable Weather.
Unfortunately, I am not sure how to remove the date. My apologies there.

It was the same on my 4XL. It's nuts that they put that on the homescreen. Every morning when I turn the phone on, I have to swipe left to get to the homescreen I want to use. I don't want to root, or change the launcher. Back in the day, I was able to choose the homescreen page I wanted.
