Help me choose which phone would you prefer - General Topics

Sry I am new here so I didn't know if this is the place to post questions like this, but I need your help on choosing a phone with good performance and good support with cyanogen and root.
I don't know which device I should choose whether the Samsung A3 (2016),Samsung A5(2016) or the Sony M4 Aqua.
Sorry if this isn't the place to post but I can't decide between these devices.
I like the sony because it's waterproof but heating issue and kinda out-dated,love the samsung but don't know if they will be supported enough and if they have good performance.
Please give me your opinion and thanks in advance.
P.S Money isn't the issues, just need to decide on the device

There's a dedicated thread for such questions here,

Many opinions to be had there, so I'll close this thread. :good:

Suggestion needed for buying an android phone!

Hello guys,
I need a suggestion for a good android phone for about 350$ (20k RS.).
Its for a friend of mine, brand name doesnt matter, it basically should meet these :
1) Should have good development in xda, (atleast cm7, cm9/10 would be a added+)
2) Screen size should be as big as possible
3) Processor and RAM is not a big problem since he doesnt multi task much, also less internal memory is not an issue (Processor can be over clocked if there is cm9/10 I guess and battery life is not an issue too)
4) Camera sensor and quality should be good(the more MP the better )
I would appreciate if some suggestions would be given, Im basically looking at xperia series, Xperia Neo L and Sola looks good but want to know more suggestions before finalising.
Thanks for your time
Regards!
As this is a question it should be posted in Q&A but please use the dedicated thread for your request - **DEVICE SUGGESTION THREAD** -- Not sure what device to buy? Ask here!. Cheers.
I'm a product of the system I was born to destroy!
Hmm.. I thought it would come under discussion(originally posted firstly in Q & A and then closed that and posted here)..Ill post it there, thanks for notifying!
OP has seen the light, thanks and thread closed.

[Completed] New Phone

I know this is stupid...and i may not get any replies over here...
but still giving it a try...
My budget is around 20k (300$), and i needed a phone which i can give it a future update as well. Since Android L is gonna come too, i would really want it in my phone. I'm currently using Huawei Y 200, and it pretty much sucks...! (NO CUSTOM ROMS MADE FOR IT )
so guys please help me out here!!!!!!!!
Hi there,
I'd recommend asking that question in the off-topic section of XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/off-topic
Since it doesn't really regard any form of development or needing a phone to be fixed, it is probably best placed there.
You will find lots of keen XDA users who I'm sure will input and tell you what they think.
Good luck!
P.S: I'd go for the Moto G

Is RedMi Note 2 good enough for me?

Hi all lovely people here, this is my first thread post here on XDA.
My long lived Sony Xperia ZL has failed me, the microphone and sim card has problem thus i'll need to change the whole board which is pretty costly.
Thinking about getting a rather cheap good smartphone and this came to my mind.
I'm a rather light user, i don't play heavy games on it.
Use it for mostly social and love to flash rom and switch between few in a month.
Any fellow user here? I'd love to hear some advice and reviews.
Is Mi a good phone to root and flash roms to? Is it easy?
Any replies will be much appreciated :good:

New Device Suggestion

Hello, dear community. I am not quite sure I am posting in the correct subforum, but please forgive me if I m doing this wrong. So I love my smartphone. I used to have a One Plus One, which at some point stoped reading the sim card, so I was forced to find a replacement. While searching I stumbled uppon LG v10. I remember I really liked this phone when it came out and I was dreaming of purchasing it, so I did. I found it almost new for $200 which seemed to be too good to be true. I loved certain aspects of the phone, but I grew to hate some others. First of all, it was a nightmare to root and put custom stuff on it. Then for some reason, it was a very slow phone, full of lag most of the times. Anyways, a couple of months after the purchase, the phone just died. It entered a boot loop state and now I can't even enter TWRP on it, so I've decided to move on and search for another device. Could you suggest to me any device?
What I put more weight on my devices are:
1. Easy root, good XDA community with custom roms. I love having the latest version of Android even if it has some bugs.
2. Good camera. I guess everyone likes that. I am a photographer and I like to push the limits of my device when it comes to photography.
3. A good bonus would be to be water resistant ip67 would do the job.
4. Budget not more than $400 (used or new)
5. A big battery would be a +
6. 1080p screen resolution is just fine for me.
Thanks in advance,
Theo
