I'm curious to see how much gets downloaded on your average phone. I'm not your average user when it comes to downloads so I don't expect to see many people with over 100gb. Here's my screenshot.

Does anyone use Battery Guard & if so, what is a good reading?

Hi Guys,
I've been suffering from very severe battery run-down over the last few days. My battery lasts about 14 hours before it hits about 30%! I've got quite a few reg-tweaks and apps running and, as I have the phone running exactly how I like it, I'm trying to work out what could be causing the drain rather than doing a hard reset and starting again.
I'm using Battery Guard which is excellent but I'm a little unsure what a good initial reading is? When I start the program and the Draining/Charging bar settles (the program usually opens at 170mA or so) I get a stable reading of about 55-60mA. Is this too much or not? I'm pretty new to this program and doing some searches but I just though I'd ask in the forum if anyone else is using this program and, if so, what kind of reading they are getting? Any info would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance
That is quite high. from the benchmark thread it seems that power draw bottoms out at 3ma and peaks at about 280ma for the Roms tested. I can't remember the exact figures so check out the attached benchmark sheet.
They all differ slightly - however 1.43, 1.48 and 1.61 are included

Thanks for the quick response,
Do you have a link for the benchmark thread. Also, if the range is from 3-280mA, wouldn't 55-60mA be a pretty average reading? I don't really know much about it which is why I ask.
Thanks

Skyrocket Benchmarks [12/29 - New Battery Info!]

I thought it was worth starting a thread specifically for data concerning the Skyrocket stats. For other folks posting, OC'd scores are welcome, but please also provide info on your OC frequency. Quadrant scores are pretty good random number generaters, but that's about it. If you want to post them, that's fine, but the variance is so high it's worthless trying to actually use them for reliable benchmarks. Several others are far better. (CF-Bench, Passmark, Antutu, etc.)
CF-Bench is a nice benchmark - only a 2-3% variation in the tests I've done so far, although there aren't any graphics tests unfortunately. There are several posts in this thread with CF-Bench results for comparison.
Monjori really pushes the GPU shader, is repeatable, and doesn't really depend on the CPU speeds that much. Thanks to Da_G for pointing it out.
[Update 12/29/2011] - More Battery Information (T989)
I recently purchased a battery from amazon (based on the comments that it was fully compatible with the Skyrocket.) Samsung ET-CGPK004GSTA T-Mobile SGH-T989 Battery Charger with Stand
The results have been amazing, with over 74 hours of battery life in my first test. Granted this was with light use, but the battery life has been by far consistently better than the one that my phone came with. Has anyone purchased this battery and had the same level of success? I seem to remember having to clear out the battery stats, but once I did, everything worked just fine.
Note that the serial numbers are slightly different, but all of the specifications seem to be identical otherwise. I didn't check to see if NFC was working however, it's not something I'm likely going to use.
Additional details are in post #56 of this thread, but I'll post the screenshot here. (Note that the desk charger I purchased also comes with the battery.)
[Update 12/10/2011] - Battery Information
It's been a while now since I've posted, so I'll try and clean up some of the misconceptions about the battery in the Skyrocket.
The below results are using Da_G's Kernel release 0.3. They are going to be somewhat better than stock, given that I was using both CPU profiles for Under/Over clocking to boost battery/performance respectively, but it was also a fairly high workload with an hour or so of GPS usage while driving, Performance Testing, long screen display times, and so forth.
To cut to the chase, From 100% to 10% Battery, I hit 31 hours in this test. Theoretically I could have received considerably more on another test when I had very light usage (26 hours from 100 -> 45%), I had to charge my phone for a trip the next day so I didn't finish it up.
On to the screenshots!

Scores from Da_G, same kernel:
Current tweaks are pushing 6700 in Antutu, 8200 in CF-Bench and 51 fps in monjori. These are currently the only benchmarks I am validating the kernel against as they are very repeatable (all tests within margin of error) unlike Quadrant!
Those scores are at 1.809GHz OC, on my 0.4pre kernel

[Update: 11/19/2011] - CF Bench Scores
This is using Da_G's OC kernel .3 @ 1.782 Ghz. Nice results with a linear ramp up in scores - what you'd expect with a reliable benchmark that mostly factors in CPU. I'm having some stability issues with graphics benchmarks, but there should be a fix out for it soon. I'm not going to bother with Quadrant - just glancing at the Dev thread shows wild variations in scores, exactly the same as what I saw. Gotta love those 1980's apple II style graphics though!
Another nice feature of this kernel is a stable 54 Mhz frequency! This means great battery savings.

[Update: 11/9/2011] - Passmark scores
I was originally going to post data from mobilebenchmark.net showing our results vs. the SGH-I777, then I looked closer and saw the charts were based on one sample. It's a good benchmark, currently in beta, and I'd encourage folks to get it from the market and submit some results. My results were 1660, or 8.2% higher than the OGS2 (based on 41 samples). I'd be interested in seeing what other people get.
This benchmark certainly has much more realistic tests than Quadrant. At least for now the SGH-I727 is one of the fastest phones available. I'm a little surprised we beat them out on the 3D graphics ranking (keep in mind this is still beta software) but at least it's a much more realistic test of what these phones are capable of doing. I'd be interested in the specific score breakdowns here to see how the CPU tests were broken down.

Just wanted to get some benchmark scores and screenshots. If you have the OGS2 and would post benchmarks for comparison, I'd appreciate it. (Screenies as well so all the numbers can be compared.)
Quadrant seemed whacked to me - it was giving me scores all over the place, both low and high.
Best AnTuTu benchmark run: 5956
Some battery history. Basically around 10 hours of battery time went from 100% to 25%. It was fairly idle after 6pm, but I did some moderately heavy benchmarking at one point and had > 1hr at full clock frequency. This was largely at 50% brightness, wireless/bluetooth/gps/sync all on.
I'll grab and post more benchmarks tomorrow.

I was using ScreenShot by Kastor Soft, which has worked for me with everything so far.
Skyrocket Screen comparison pictures
The OpenGL test is beautiful, and it was capping at the Vsync rate a fair amount of the time. Tons smoother than the Quadrant benchmark even though there was a huge amount more detail in the graphics. That convinces me even more that Quadrant is out of date. Unfortunately you can't get your actual results on that test without logging in to a website that didn't have a registration button, so I just skipped it for now.
So lets look at the screen display sizes and pixels. I don't have an OGS2 any more since I traded it for the Skyrocket, so for comparison I took pictures of my Captivate. (Ironically I took the captivate pictures with my Skyrocket since it was better than my old camera). The last picture was taken with my SLR camera.
One thing I saw right away was a difference if you use a downloaded font on the Skyrocket. They were crisper when seen from normal viewing distance it seemed like. Personally I'm quite happy with the screen anyway, but it did make a difference.
To my eye anyway, you can see some difference ... but only if you are so close up it's impractical. (For those of us with binocular vision anyway who read more than an inch away from the screen ... just sayin.)
Admittedly though there is some difference in vibrancy that I really can't reproduce by taking a picture with my limited equipment. I really only notice it when I switch from one phone to the other, or see them side by side.
First the Captivate. It's definitely crisp, and even the close up shot shows the very smooth letters.:

I have been very torn whether to take back my OGSGSII until I spent an
hour with the Skyrocket at the At&t store. It felt a bit laggy, the camera was
slower and the screen was definitely not as sharp. Text was fuzzy, the screen
did not seam as bright on the same settings and on lighter colored screens,
you could see the pixels. I am staying with my OGSGSII.

If we don't get dev support in the next week or so this thing will go back. It's for sure laggy I agree but I love the screen on it.

People have been saying factory resets helped with the screen hitches. I know mine improved after removing the bloatware. For me full brightness is just too bright (on both devices) so I was usually using an Auto or 50% setting. Whether or not you like the screen is entirely subjective, and if you like the OSGS2, by all means, keep that one. (although at normal distance I'm certainly not seeing more pixellation).
I for one don't miss the Vlingo button lag!
The Quadrant scores (for me) have just been way too inconsistent for me to think it's reliable (1600 - 3500+). Here's screenshots of runs not long after you posted. (Scores at 3416, 3554, and 3710). Since it benches better than the OSGS2 scores you posted you wouldn't expect it to feel laggy. Actually this is the first time I've ran it since removing bloatware and it's faster than ever. I'm not sure that's a realistic timeframe. Up to you, but I'd say factory reset and start removing bloatware obviously. Yeah, it's more work than flashing a ROM and have it all done for you, but to me it's part of the fun. At least I'm learning something instead of just knowing how to fire up Odin correctly.
We have CWM and root, so it's not like we can't properly use our phones for now. Even the OSGS2 took more than a week to get stable kernel's out the door and it had all the benefits of the international ROM's. But yeah, the OSGS2 will have more dev support no doubt. It's just a question of what's more important to you.

I know all about how well this does on benchmarks, I have a post with about every app that benchmarks and the results. I have gotten rid of what I think is bloat and its helped for sure but it's still not as smooth as the original but I knew that before I bought it, I just don't know if I can deal with that lag long term... I'll figure it out in the next 20+ days. Fantastic device for sure and still head over heels better than the 4s I had for two weeks.

My benchmark's were in reply to shootthis' post, not yours ..
I recall your posts. We get the same results, but for whatever reason you are getting some kind of lag and I don't. Are you referring to that screen hitch when scrolling between screens?
Regardless, at some point the lag went away for my device. It's completely smooth, not that the slight hitch ever bothered me before. That's one reason why I can't remember when it completely went away.
I referred to your post for part of what I froze with TiBu, but there were differences. About the only other thing I can think of is I'm using setCPU profiles, and my default is the ondemand scheduler. I'm wondering if auto-brightness impacted one of my benchmarks, but probably not.
No clue. Hopefully someone will figure it out soon so we can put this thing to rest.
11/9 Update
Updated first post with Passmark benchmarks.
Horrible network speeds today - yes, I know speedtest.net isn't definitive. The main reason I ran it was that just the listing of forum posts (here) took forever to load while I was at lunch today. This was actually a faster benchmark than the server located in the city I live in ... So the poor data speed shown here was in line with what I was seeing qualitatively.
The funny thing is all of the quadrant score screenshots I posted were from the Skyrocket and not the OGSGSII.

Funny how? It shows that Quadrant isn't a worthwhile test. I knew that already. My scores are within a few percent of each other with Passmark, not all over the place like with Quadrant. Sort of proves the point.

In terms of battery..., yesterday i unplugged my phone in the morning ~9am, got to work at 10am, at work I stream high quality spotify over 4G to my BT headphones practically non stop + a 1hr tele conference over my phone
low battery warning came on at ~4:30 with the phone usage actually being the biggest drain at around 55%, screen and spotify were both less than 15%
overall I'm pretty happy with that, phone almost lasts as long as my headset will while streaming unplugged

After monitoring all the things using battery for a couple days, I removed the "bloat". I am a very heavy data and texting user, with maybe 20 minutes of calling. Today was the first day of being bloat free and I am at 15hrs since being unplugged and I still have 68%. I'm shocked and very happy. Lets see tomorrow if it was just a fluke..

Take a look at this article: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7384/state-of-cheating-in-android-benchmarks
Hi,
Instead of always say "benchmark means nothing", "benchmark are useless", "benchmark are not real life" (obviously), bla bla bla... Maybe the OP could know why his score are low or why there is too much difference?
Like for some other guys if almost everyone have, it's an example, about 35 000 in Antutu and one guy post because he have only 20 000, I think he could know why, what is wrong, etc..., right?
But no, each time there is always the same kind of "ready repplies" like above...
Benches can be useful if you know how to run them (and yes there is a manner to run a bench like CPU temp at the beginning, with data active or not, after reboot or not, etc...) and how you interprete them (the most important, at least for me), even Quadrant can be useful for a quick bench but it's just my opinion (ok Quadrant seems to have more variations than Antutu)... And i don't manipulate them (like with the FPS unlock, I mean the debug.egl... build.prop edit) after it's for fun too.
And if I tweak my device with VM, governor, i/o scheduler settings for example (and it is not manipulating, not for me, it's some real "tweaks" that you can judge too in real use, in general UI, user experience (improvement or not) and not only in benchs) I see in first in general UI and after I look in bench to see...
Yes don't get these benches as a scientist approach or the best accurate result or a result to garantie you a general user experience (bad or good), for example my main goal is about general UI (smoothess, speed, responsiveness) and after I play with benchs because it's always fun...
But the tendance, here on XDA, is to ban benches with always the same words and the same mind (because xx says benchs are useless, xy repeat the same thing without knowing anything or xx have a bad/low score so benchs are useless, etc, etc, etc...), it bothers me... (it's not directed to you in particular).
And in general the guys who post a result of bench post a screenshot of the overall score and nothing more... The most important is to know how you got this score (governor settings, rom, kernel, "tweaks", etc...) and the detailed score is also important.
A bench makes sense with explications and details on how and why you have this or that score.
I agree that a screenshot without information means nothing..., I'm the first to say that in different bench threads but people don't care and continue to post a screenshot only, it's absolutely ridiculous, but well...
It's like the battery stats or screen on time (and we have at least to thrads for that...), it's a kind of benchmark, but here people agree more with these (?) and same thing: 2 or 3 screenshots without any information (settings or usage) means nothing...
In preparation of car engine you run benchs (for the raw power) and you test also your car on street to see the comportement in general not only on a bench and also ther is some conditions to respect before run a bench like for a phone. It's the same thing for a device if you like tweak it, you tweak your device, you run bench to see the result, you use it in day to day use to see if there is an improvement or not (general UI, battery).
It's the same thing for a sportsman, the 100 m, marathon, etc... it's a kind of bench, you don't use it always in "real life" nor it suggests your real state but people don't shout against, right? But benches for phones, welcome to the drama... it's pathetic.
"It shows benchmark apps are no different than a random number generator...", false, I posted some Antutu scores in the benchmark thread (testing i/o scheduler) and I can say you I have accurate results (just keep in mind I was testing different i/o schedulers so the overall score varies a little) in 35 800-36100 range, nothing with 2/4 000 points difference. I can show you accurate results in Antutu with always the same settings like 36 000-36 100 range..., is it a random number generator? No, I don't think... You will always have a little variation, if it's a variation of 5 000 points then something is wrong (thermal throttling mostly, an app auto update, who knows?).
Things to retain: detail your scores, explain your setup and yes don't get the result as a condition on how your phone runs in day to day use, that being said I don't know where is there a problem with benchs on phone... and sometimes fun is nice...
Ok, end, to the OP it's probably due to thermal throttling, but you give very little information... so hard to say exactly but it seems you ran Antutu one after another?
You need to let your phone cool down between each run...
Sorry for this post but I had something to say... and yes I assume totally

Note 3 with Phronesis, Magma NX or AspireTeam C9 Pro ROMs SOT (Screen On Time) Battery and custom Kernel Discussion.
Let me start by saying that this tread is born out of a passionate back and forth discussion I had with one the above-mentioned custom ROMs a rather ubiquitous assistant developer here on xda. It all began with his casual use of SOT (Screen On Time) hours he got when asked by a user why his battery was draining. He would, without fail, give the usual line of your usage vary from this to that, and each horse is different from the other, etc. etc. which is fine. But, somewhere along the line, he will casually throw in that he personally gets 7-8 hrs. SOT and possibly reach 11 hrs. That’s when I took him to task, until the moderator asked us to quit and start a discussion thread if we feel the need to go further on the subject of SOT.
So here I am, but first let me say this, I know that this subject is not easy and subjective, but I would like to approach it in a simple way, better yet, can there be a common point here where we all agree what would be a default setting on a custom ROM? I’m proposing WIFI active, Data 4G active, Location active and Bluetooth active. At least the first 3 come activated on every devise you purchase. Most people use these principal services for various connections in their daily lives. Let’s call this for the sake of this argument “Normal Use”.
Xda developers like to always remind users who they call “noobs” ( I certainly was once, and most probably still am) that this is a developer site and you should first break your bones before coming here. Sorry, but that isn’t reality, most custom ROM users are NOT developers, in fact many, many are noobs. In fact, the noobs are what makes a custom ROM successful. The more pages the thread garners and the more downloads, the more the developer appreciates his success and xda benefits.
Now I know there are many factors that paly into SOT, battery age, kernel, ROM, games, wild applications etc. But really, do you think it is wise to promote any custom rom by saying “I personally get 7-8 hrs. SOT and can possibly achieve 11hrs”. Remember, we are talking about a Note 3 stock battery not a custom one. Just imagine what that means; you go to work and come back and you’re still on SOT! I can’t achieve that on an iPad. We’re talking here about a 2017 technology on a 2013 mobile phone device, and the Note 3 was designed with Kitikat 4.2, which is even older.
Granted, you’re a developer or part of the know-how team who can snail tweak the device's software and kernel to achieve a higher SOT, just because you can and you know how. But there is always a price to pay in functionality. I will go even further to say that you do a disservice to the ROM quality and viability by saying that. Even if you achieve that with all those crippling tweaks, most people aren’t ready to use their device as a developer testing machine. Actually, giving them estimates on normal use of 3-4-5 hrs. SOT would be more attuned with reality, and people will not pester your thread with posts asking why they haven’t reached 7-8 hours SOT you bragged about. If they somehow reach a higher SOT on their own, all the praise to the developer. Instead, they have to deal with awful suggestions like “your battery must be dead or something”. Samsung’s best offers never reach more than 5hrs. SOT, if they did, they’d kill the competition. Neither do trimmed down ASOP ROMs.
Finally, I have flashed many ROMS since I got my Note 3, but for this thread let’s keep this discussion limited to Phronesis ROM, Magama NX and AspireTeam since they are the most popular with Note 3 users, and all use Android MM 6.0.1 I’ve used All 3 ROMs above with various kernels and never achieved more than 4 hours with “normal use” (all connections active) 5 hrs. is rare SOT for me even when I use new stock batteries. So, please let us know what is your SOT using what kernel with these ROMS on your Note 3. Do you actually reach 7-8 hrs. SOT? (forget 11. LOL). If you do, tells us how? And please don’t forget to give us some specs about your configuration.
Great @wild wadi
can i suggest something if you do not mind ?
i suggest that users who will post in this thread to start with a report that contains the following :
1 - Device model and Modem & Bootloader.
2 - Kernel and ROM.
3 - A screenshot of the battery usage.

I didnt understand "Phronesis, Magma NX or Aspire ROMs" part on OP and thread title. What about Darklord Reborn, AryaMOD s7edge, AryaMOD n7, Emassry266, Possibe FS and etc? Can it be generalized as "Touchwiz MM port"s? Or you are interested on only those ROMs?

My experience is with those 3, they are popular and sufficient to give us some idea. Let's not muddy the water here.
3.5 years old stock battery.
Kernel stock settings.
No Xposed
No Lspeed
You 2 need a break! Or at least use ignore list! Ha ha ha !
Let be serious guys 8h SOT hard to get with normal battery and with the apks from theese days. Not many users have skills to set correct kernels. Most of the users like me let say want a normal battery 3 to 5 h top. But when you see some post from guys who get 7-8 h you start thinking how to get that, and from there desaster is comming. What i didnt hear from users is that they never say what apk are using ,when they use wi-fi or data or gps and what tweaks they do to their kernels.
Anyways have a good "fight" on this subject ....
My respect to only one guy !

So what is your usage? I shared mine on previous page here. But I dont know your usage. I have wifi/data/location/sync turned on. Bluetooth -> off (i dont have bluetoot device). My apps are present. I use new samsung battery less than a year old. I dont play games. I use quickedit app, mixplorer, mixplorer text editor, apltool x for modding. Youtube, mxplayer for watching video. Samsung music for listening audio (on screen off, not counted in sot value).
Kernel adiutor
1. undervolt (different pvs value device (google to find what it is) will tolerate different values). find your device's sweet spot. I decrease global to -20 mV and 288 to 650mV. I have seen users who got reboots when going below -10mV global and also users with using -50mV global with no issue. Different pvs number different results. Mine was 2 if my mind doesnt fool me.
2. Low memory killer (I adjust higher values so that it doesnt make device slow). It does not affect battery directly.
3. You can change cpu freq but with phantom kernel it is programmed good so I moslty dont even touch it.
Smart Manager:
I advise c5 or s7 sm because it can control apps in background better monitoring ram usage. It is also advised for s4 users since they have 2GB RAM w.r.t. 3 GB RAM of note3 (case for MagMa NX).
Bluelight filter:
Around 20% normal, in dimmer places 50%. At night up to 100%. I edit filter.cfg string for decreasing brightness.
Then check your battery stats to see what is using your battery. I have seen google services and system (adsprcd) using high battery. For google services there are xposed and magisk modules to optimize its used battery. I myself am using button mapper and kill playstore app after openning it (I also disable auto update notifications from playstore -> it updates only when I want). System (adsprcd) was caised by google assistant listening on background. I disabled "ok google" prompt. I use only via long press home button because I dont get hansfree usage at all.
These are wbat I remember from my tweaks and with my usage I get 6-8hrs sot. I hope they are useful
Dont expect getting high sot if you are playing online/heavy games, using media editing stuff (mainly video), bluetooth devices and watching full brightness 1080p youtube videos. But you will see the app usage in gsam battery monitor (stock battery usage will not give you 3rd party app usage info in spite of what is told). Also, we are now optimizing to decrease battery usage by infinity wallpaper on MagMa NX.
APP USAGE is VERY important. That is why when I dont get that info I cannot troubleshoot.
P.S. I use mobile app. "Ignore user" function has not been brought to android

Yes, turned into a bit of a "ding-dong" so I've cleaned some posts.
Please stay on topic, avoid getting "narky" and I also removed a thanks type post... please use thanks button for that

Yeah thats true. Tweaks from other people using are not the same with other users. App disable, how frequent they have used their phones, on idle or etc. Even they send the screenshot and copied their setup, it depend on how we use our phone. For me SOT screenshot are rubbish. If you all need a good battery life phone, get the exynos version instead(for samsung phone). Theres many comparison talking about sd and exynos on samsung(not gonna explain here). If you got some money just buy the 10K mah zerolemon batteries. Theres too many thread talking about battery, kernels and tweaks, how much more do we need?

Kind of agree, except for maybe the aryamod. They're kinda old now, discontinued. Old as in the apps in magma and resis are like a year newer. I personally only use magma and resis anymore, and for the record, I get 24hrs SOT. I just don't unplug it ever.
Good thread. I am getting 3h 40m SoT on average with MagmaNX . N900t. Don't have any social media apps except instagram (which i froze).
I honestly believe this phone on anything more than Lollipop is incapable of getting more than 4hrs SoT with "normal" usage (wifi/mobile on). Even with mid-level power saving. The overwhelming number of people who report their SoT is definitive.
Ive been using roms for different phones for 6 years now. This is one of the few where there's such a disparity between what the developer says what "battery life" is and what the average user is reporting.
Whatever "Android System" and "Kernel" is, they are killing the battery
On Lollipop, I was getting 5.5 SoT. On average. With the same battery / apps / usage.
So I will be going back to stock Lollipop. It's unfortunate.
Magma ux10.
Phantom kernel
Kernel audiutor
Xposed installed
Old battery
:silly:
I choose to focused on smoothness and no lags than sot. :silly:
What point to have longer sot if u lower the perfomance to almost like the first galaxy s1 perfomance or a cheap copy smartphone.

You may need to READ the THREAD TITLE and OP again. It is not only for TW MM port ROMs, but also for only 3 ROMs, Phronesis, MagMa NX and Aspire ROMs as said here.

As @Eleo said only for 3 Roms but your Sot is kinda low i will say on RR Rom .

I think it's because my battery is kinda worn - it was charged over 4700 (!) times so it may have lower capability... But I'm still satisfied with it! (That doesn't mean I wouldn't order new one soon )

I didnt like the kernels on magma but I started tweeking the lss kernel because it gave me about those 6hours SOT. Therefore I undervolt like 35-50mV and some more stuff in synapse https://m.imgur.com/a/SHEi7 , but I still could not get those 8h.SOT. I did not play games, but i used for instance facebook/messenger, photos etc. I have my note3 for almost 3 years with the stock battery. I also disabled some unused apps. However, the phone performance like scrolling or moving from app to app was laggy. Honestly, now Im on Ressurection Remix https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-resurrection-remix-n-v5-8-3-vanilla-t3615227 and performance is great, no lags, everything is really smooth on android 7 but i miss the samsung apps and features. On the other hand, the samsung apps are badly optimized, bcs samsung. If i had to compare the samsung vs google original apps, i would say that google apps are better and smoother. But, the RR rom has bad battery life for me and Im thinking of returning to Magma now
Its all strange because when you watch original S8 battery test, the phone doesnt get more than 6-7 hours sot. I think that OEMs are holding all the progress back, bcs we can see that the same hours can be achieved on 4 year older phones. Thats why they dont update the old phones, bcs they just want us to buy their new product each year. They are better in performance, but for normal usage like browsing the internet or calling you dont see that much difference unless you play games. Im not even excited about new phones bcs its all the same with small changes.

You are doing a colossal mistake by not comparing the testing conditions. To get any comparable result you should test all those devices on same conditions same environment same reception same usage by yourself. Otherwise you can never compare those results.
I do my all test under nearly identical conditions thus I can compare my old results to my new results and say that "this tweak increases/decreases/doesnt change sot".
I have seen reports for google pixel xl previous year stating that it lasts 4-5 hours sot. I can assure you that under same conditions you cannot even get 3 hours with note 3.

+1.
Those new phones aren't even debloated as those custom ROMs, most of the services if not all of them are enabled.
Not mentioning their performance compared to note 3.

Question What good is a fast S22 SoC if you can never use it? Samsung is throttling all your apps except benchmarks.

Samsung caught throttling 10,000 phone apps—and its own home screen
Samsung's "Game Optimizing Service" throttles just about every app you can think of.
arstechnica.com
Samsung might be throttling the performance of 10,000 apps (Updated)
Samsung fesses up to throttling, and here's what it'll do next
That's sh!thouse
If people think the battery is just okay now, wait until this gets uncorked and watch the complaints flood in. No one complained about the phone being slow but I feel like this could be detrimental to the battery. Maybe they will give us options.
I read an article that said Sammy is going to put out an update addressing that, there's been many complaints.

They should give you the options to control it, it's YOUR phone afterall.
Battery is pretty crap on the S22 series, pushing performance to what it should be from the get go, going to drain it faster, yes.
Honestly, 5000mah is pretty low for such a phone , 6000mah would be nice.

I put the phone on performance mode the day i got it. ZERO ISSUES.
