Is there a way to unlock using Fingerprint without turning on the screen? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys.. i know this is a bit weird, but i was wondering is there any app or tweak or whatever it is to make Z5's Fingerprint work like Nexus 6P or OnePlus 2? where i only put my finger on the sensor without the screen have to wake up and unlocks the device? it would really nice to have.. i was just wondering and Z5 is an awesome device! thanks in advance

Post processing and a few photo and video related features are lost when unlocking your bootloader (not fingerprint sensor)
You can enable these features using a tool called rootkernel

No.
Also before unlocking your bootloader you have to check the "Allow Oem unlock" option in the developer settings.

Xperias typically have lockscreen options alike a Nexus although if you are refering to spesific features then that wont be a thing aside the fingerprint sensor.
There may be some xposed modules that work
It seems i mixed this thread up with a Z2 thread about unlocking your bootloader, my bad.

hmm, how do you define mods?
xposed isn't working with art enabled, but for mods you can get from playstore or any other app, many infos about compatibility can be found here:

ahhhh, thanks
so all mods, only modifying the system by not adding or changing any java code should work!.. eg new bootanimation, or only ressource tweaks for theming.. but everything changing java code is potentially dangerous - ok, some kind of obviously if you using a unstable run time xD
the real problem is that google does not provide any list of already implemented functions, the aot compiler already can use :/ .. would be nice especially for us developers to know what we can use, so our app is not crashing. until google provides more infos or someone is geeky enough to tear down art, testing and failing recursively.

I've played around with settings and still can't get it to work. Also, the option for Direct Volume Control is greyed out.

Maybe you're trying to apply effects and settings in poweramp. That would be pointless. You want to run poweramp vanilla.

No. That what it should look like on stock rom with or without unlocked bootloader. I bet it works for you, if you have applied DRM fix, only that preview is glitched.

Any Substratum themes for O previews?

I know Substratum added support for Android O, but are there any themes that have been updated to support it? I can't seem to find any.

Is in Nexus 6 thread but works on every O device.
