Suddenly It doesn t charge anymore, so now? - Blu Pure XL

My Blu Pure Xl phone stopped giving signs of life this morning.
It doesn t charge, I ve tried different cables and powersources.. nothing.
I m keeping the cable plugged and the display is a bit warm exactly like when It s charging.
What could I do? Damned phones with non removable battery..
thx

Can you try plugging it into your computer and check (on Windows) if a MediaTek port constantly appears and disappears In Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT) when you attempt to boot your phone?

I ll do asap. Btw before this, the usb port already started to give me problems: unknown device, on windows so from that moment I started to move files using sdcard or wifi transfers.

update: No life signs. So I had to buy another phone. It doesn t charge at all and it started suddenly for no reasons. When I have a moment I ll give to some shots to repair it. Maybe it s just the plug...

RMA
I just got my replacement phone back from BLU RMA. I had the same issue where it just wouldn't charge. I even replaced the battery. I believe the usb port was the issue, but I sent it back. They replaced it no questions asked.

Good to know. I m in London and I had to buy a new phone. But yesterday I left the dead blu pure xl to a shop. I ll go there again to tell them about your news. (I want to fix in Uk as I m not willing to spend money to send it to Usa or whereverit s from).thx!

[Q] Atrix2 battery issues , seems hardware

Searched all over but never came across a similar issue posted anywhere.
When I connect the charger while the phone is on... it "shows charging". But is does charge "real slow" .
Then when I "take off the charger" , It "still shows charging"(lightning sign).
After I "reboot" to get rid of that , it boots up with red "Low battery". But it doesn't turn off for a while ,which hints the battery itself has no issue.
Whereas when I connect in and then disconnect the USB from my "PC" , it still indicates the USB connected sign.
When charging while the phone is "off", it shows charging (with the large battery sign) but the charged level keeps @ 0%.
PS: If I keep the phone turned off while the battery is inside for 2,3 days.. the batteries drain without any clue , the phone won't turn on.
Tried all factory reset & calibrating stuff , I start to wonder if this is an issue with my USB port or the battery connectors. I might be needing experts help ..Please help
[I do not hv any warranty left for this]
Maybe you need to try a new battery. That's all.

Yeah thnx bud, I could try that If I know for certain . Else it would be a waste.
What worries me is the issue with the "USB connection to PC". Which has nothing to with the battery circuit.
Have you tried another cable?
Sent from my MB865 running CM10
The issue seems to be probably with either the USB cable or the port.try another cable to be sure..

Discharge while off sounds like a bad battery. Does it lose charge if you charge it and take it out of the phone?

Tried that , when I take it out and keep ,the charge stays perfect. That's why I'm guessing the battery is ok .

Yeah tried another cable . Made no difference . I think I should try replacing the port . Hope that's not very expensive .
Updates for my problem, (still no clue though).
I messed up with some MOTOMIZER app and happend to change the dalvik heap size to default(don't remember the value) . Just after this the phone boots only up to "Rethink possible" screen.
It won't let me flash via fast boot , "battery low cannot program" comes up.
Then I bought an external charger and a 3rd party battery . Fully charged the battery via the ext; charger and went to fast boot. No surprises , "battery low cannot program" came up again.
It seems the phone does not recognize the full voltage of the battery , even it's fully charged.
Now If anyone with some clue, pls help me out here.
I would suggest flashing with a factory cable. With it you pull the battery and the cable powers the phone so you can flash. I have one and it's been very handy. Give me a little while and I'll post a couple of links. You can make your own or buy one from xda member sKoRpn for like $10 shipped in the U.S. if you dont want to wait on me jump over to the kindlefire general forum.

Nice..Really appreciate man. I really didn't know about these factory cables. But just now I did my research.
Then again I doubt whether my phone recognizes the voltage. Anyways , definitely worth a shot.
I found some cables for sale. There are not recommended specially for Atrix2 but for Kindle Fire , Atrix , Droid Razr etc . Will those be compatible with A2 ??
Yeah man, It works on all moto phones and the kf. Really useful when you don't have a full charge on the phone.

Sounds to me like you need to get a replacement phone via warranty. Possibly the battery too. If you are with AT&T call the warranty department. If not, then call motorola and try and use their 1 year warranty to get this fixed.

USB port fault?

Hi guys.
I have a weird problem. A couple of days back I plugged my 711 in to charge, then a minute later it started beeping and had a notification telling me there was something wrong with the USB port. I cleaned some fluff out with a toothpick and all was fine. Then, yesterday, it decided that it thinks the headphones are constantly connected, meaning I can't play audio from the phone, I can't take a phone call without being on speaker, if I connect the charger the charge light will come on, but the battery icon and level won't change, etc. Plugging the headphones, or adapter, or charger in won't make a difference, nor will a reboot or power of for a while. I've done a factory reset, uninstalled loads of programs and updates, but as soon as it rebooted the headphone icon was there and the problem has stayed. I thought it was a hardware fault, until just now, when I rebooted with the charger still attached, then the headphone icon was missing and the charge icon working, until I unplugged the charger and it reverted back!
Now I'm thinking it's a software issue. I don't wanna send back to HTC for repair and wait 2 weeks.
Anyone had a similar issue, or any idea what might be causing it?!
Thanks in advance x
Are you within return window?

Just get it fixed by HTC. Should be covered under warranty.

Just a quick update. I sent the phone back, waited 2 weeks for its return, one month later the same fault developed, the phone was sent to Poland and I waited 3 weeks for its return, within 2 days I started having problems and HTC sent me a new charger and headset, then it died again on me last week, it's now at the repair centre again and I'm waiting for a replacement. I've been loyal to HTC for about 8 years now, but their customer service is appalling and this is probably the last phone of theirs I'll have.
Exactly the same problem with my U11 :
They changed the USB PORT and I have no problem since 10 days.
Now I have the same problem in my U11. From august to now it work very fine. My model also warms up near the usb port. When I connect charger, the phone look's like it's charging, but after while it's stop. I'm worry about data in my model :|
I have the same problem now.. Too bad I bought my u11 on grey market and HTC doesn't have service center here in the Philippines...
same isues here!
Mine just started the Pop up USB problem. This this I should go back to Apple.
Ditto. Started after about 10-11 months of usage. I ended up buying a new phone rather than dealing with sending it in for repair.
Check the usb port for dirt and debris. This is the most common issue with htc usb ports. Clean the port with a small pin and be careful to not damage the port.
If the phone gets hot it might stop charging to prevent overheating. The temperature cut off seems to be condition dependent. If the battery is old and abused it will cut out earlier. If the battery is brand new you might get upwards of 56c before the phone shuts down.
If the phone shuts down while reading or writing to the internal memory you stand the risk of corrupting and having to flash a stock firmware to get the phone running again, it happened to me about 5 days ago. Temperature at cut out was 47c while watching youtube. Lost 10gb of data.
The usb port problem started with me a month a go
I found if i charged my phone with a regular or IQ chargers its ok !
but if i used quick or smart charging i got this problem.
My phone do not react to charger and usb headphones when android is on. If i switch off phone, I may start charge and may plyg phone and then if I switch phone on, charging will continue and phones will work, but until next replug.
Running latest OTA update.
Had Same Issue!!!!
Fixed when i noticed from micro end , something somehow got in micro usb cable, not phone. It was driving me nuts....Check your micro ends not dirty. Was my problem, hopefully yours too.
I've have had USB port problems in many HTC's (the HD2 which I killed it trying to fix this :crying:, the ONE and now the U11, the Amaze didn't lasted long enough to have it) I don't know how is it with other brands but even if HTC does not go down this was the last phone I bought from them...

Does the device show in device manager when connected to PC? Will the device boot to any of its modes?
If not then your device is hard bricked, send it to a repair shop, return the device or get a new device.

It's dead then, if you take it to a repair shop they will replace the motherboard to fix the device.
You can do that yourself and save the money you would pay them.
Or you can get a new device.

These things are not meaningless toys to be careless with. If you get another device, be more careful, aware and attentive of how you handle, use and care for the device. Show your dad that you can take care of your device well and he just might at some point get you a better device. If he thinks you won't take care of it then he'll just get you a cheap device or no device at all.

Galaxy S7 Fast Charge & MTP Not Working, Computers Cannot Recognize It!!

Hi dear xda users
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F model and facing a very frustrating issue. The problem began a couple of months ago, when I woke up, the fast charging ability and any USB connection with computer was gone.
The steps that I've tried
1) I have tried it with multiple computers, multiple USB ports and ORIGINAL 2.0A fast wall chargers, can't recognize it,can't fast charge.
2) I have installed ADB drivers and all Samsung drivers, still not recognized, still can't fast charge.
3) I've tried to revert it to stock with stock firmware, stock bootloader and modem, even in Fastboot Download mode, still not recognized.
4) Last thing, I thought it might be the charging port (flex) is broken and I've had it changed with the same new charging flex in front of my eyes with a technician and still can't get it recognized or fast charged.
5) I have changed the settings and tried almost all combinations from the dialer menu *#8800#, still can't!
The device did not contact any water at all and I am beginning to think that motherboard is corrupt somehow.
Another bad news is Samsung Turkey Official Service Centers are denying to repair the devices that you bought from any other country (SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG!)
They basically won't replace or repair anything with in my phone! (still, it is the same model that they sell in Turkey)
Have anyone faced the similar issues with me?
Only thing I know of is if you have USB debugging on, it prevents some USB functionality until turned off. But if you flashed stock, USB debugging should have reverted to stock.
And yes Samsung warranty doesn't cover grey imports, you have to buy locally.

I've tried almost all possibilities and no, you got me wrong, I am not asking for a warranty covered service, even I say that I am going to pay for it, they won't do it.

Sounds like you've ruled out just about everything apart from the phones USB charging port itself, replace the charging port

You mention charging port "Flex", I assumed by that wording you meant some cable from the port
Well only thing left is the battery and main motherboard really
happened to my old s7 edge and i did all you have done too but no luck. it is some software bug i read soemwhere which only samsung can fix via ota cause our phone cant get detected by pc to flash rom. so all eforts in vain , and i sold the phone in the end. also mine used to get charged in 5-6 hours cause it detecs every cable as usb cable.
I have same problem my phone charging 0-100 6hours but ı install notorious kernel and it takes 3 hours it is better than 6 hours

Almost everyone in this forum has a rooted phone, yet this is an issue few have experienced. Rooting might be the first step they took to breaking something, but rooting alone couldn't be the cause otherwise you'd see way more of this.
Keep it on track guys!!!!!
How are we gonna fix this! I'm scared if my phone dies and I can't connect it to a pc..

non responsive s6

Hello, my niece brought me an faulty s6 and asked if i could fix it. Since i used to repair peoples phones a few years ago.
When i got it, it was completely dead, except a white light of doom on the led bulb when i tried to boot in DLmode/recovery. That later stopped lighting too. I then tried to change the battery for a new one. It didn't change a thing, so i thought it might be the charging port. So i got a qi charger...
So here we are, the qi charger tries to charge it (i can see the light animation for it). The phone gets warm but no sign of any juice to the battery..
Can't see any next steps that are worthwhile..
I would really like to get the data off the phone tho..
Any ideas?
