sitrep
-no rom/os on phone
-computers(multiple) wont find my phone
-since nexus 5 no sd card slot or otg
-twrp working
-was running cm13
main problem. i wanted to install a new rom on my phone so i deleted the old one, so i could put the new one on. then i realised i did not have a new rom on my phone. so i went to connect is to my computer and it could not find it. so now i have a phone that can boot into twrp and nothing else. i did a full wipe of the system.(every single option available in the twrp options)
how do i get my phone back since i cant put a new rom on my phone since i just cant drag a file on it from my computer. since there is no other way i can put files on my phone. it is not because of lack of drivers. since it used to work just fine. i tried multiple computers to be sure. all of which in the past i could access my phone on.
One of the advantages of adb sideload is to solve this kind of situation.
adb push should help too. Your device must be into the recovery mode.
Other solution: download the factory images and flash everything but userdata.

Hello, I recently decided to root my phone and place Cyanogenmod on it. When I did that I realized my radio was no longer working. In an attempt to just get back to a working phone for the time being I flashed a rom that I believe was just for the Nexus S and not Nexus S 4G. Due to my stupidity I am unable to communicate from the device to my computer using USB. When I attach the device to the computer nothing happens. The device does not even appear in the device manager. I have tried on multiple computers as well. On top of that the rom seems to have put me back into the stock recovery. If anyone could help me figure out just how to get USB working again I would be very appreciative.
I should note that I can still transfer files to the phone using the sd card or via ftp.
Thank you for your time and help.
Change the USB cable?
Yes, forgot to mention that. I have tried 2 cables both of which work on other devices.
What if you hold in the middle of the volume buttons (i.e. both up and down at the same time) and keep holding, then plug in to your usb port? It should come up as download mode. If it will do that you might try using Odin.
Or try a different machine perhaps?
are the drivers the same for the S as the 4g?
do you have clockwork on the phone or have you tried to run recover by holding volume up and power?
just throwing things out.
Hello, I appreciate any and all suggestions and help.
I have Odin downloaded and installed, but the computer can not find the device so Odin can not do what it needs to do. This is even the case in download mode.
In terms of recovery I am on the stock recovery. I was on clockwork but made a small mistake and now am back to stock.
I know if I can just get the computer to see the phone exists I can fix it.
If you can find the full OTA package for NS4G, you can try putting it on the SD card and flash it via stock recovery.
Also another thing worth trying is connecting the phone to an Ubuntu machine and see if it's detected or not.
I have tried looking for the original full OS. I will continue looking, but the different OS thing is a good idea I did not think of. I will attempt that now. Thank you.
I installed Ubuntu and the Android SDK and Ubuntu was unable to see the phone as well. I am going to keep searching for the original firmware to see if that will fix it. Thank you for your help so far, it is greatly appreciated.
I have found the only rom my phone will accept now is
Android 2.3.4/GRJ22/KRKC1 Radio/KA3 Bootloader
Which is for the M200 variant. This apparently the Korean version.
I tried to install cyanogenmod 12 onto my Moto G (2013 XT1031), and it was stuck in boot for 10 hours, so I put it into recovery, plugged it back into my computer, followed a forum on how to fix it, and now the drivers are gone. My computer can't communicate to my phone through USB. So now when I type "adb devices" it isn't listed, so I cannot push a stock img file to my phone to fix it. I've been looking forever for a fix... Could somebody here help me if you have any idea what to do. Thx.
Add me on Facebook. I'll help you. I had the same problem. www.Facebook.Com/mykehdoom
I will post here what I did to fix it, (if I do fix it) just in case anyone else comes here to fix their problem.
You should always keep a backup or stock ROM zip on SD card or USB otg. And you shouldn't have this problem as long as you can boot to recovery. I've found the quickest way to get any Lollipop ROM to boot since the first official CM12 nightly is to install Donkey Kang kernel. Most of the time they'll stay on boot animation forever until I do. I have an XT1031 too. A Leaf micro SD card reader or a Leaf bridge are well worth the cash. They've saved me from having to use my PC to get out of a jam every time, and I've flashed almost every build of every ROM that will flash on this phone.

Have you tried restoring stock via fastboot? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
If you wish to keep the contents of the internal storage, skip the erase userdata part. At least until you can backup what you want off it.

No, the problem was that my computer could not do anything to the phone, they would not interact at all. ADB couldn't sense the phone. I did fix it, however. Here is what I did:
1.Open Device Manager
2.Plug in phone
3.See if a new device pops up when device is plugged in.
4.Right click the device: Properties
5.Update Driver
6.Browse Computer
7.Pick from list of Drivers
8.Uncheck "Show compatible Hardware"
9.Manufacturer: Motorola
10.Motorola USB Composite Device
11.Next
12.Follow through and wait for it to set up your driver, then device.
13.After that, adb could find my phone.
Hi there,
Today i've received this tablet. All good and dandy until it notified me it has an update so obviously i've gone and do the update. Surprise.. after reboot, update installment and so on the device won't boot anymore at all, and recover mode doesn't work to enter.
I've found official ROM package on their site:
ftp.vonino.org/public/Firmware/Vonino_Tablets/Pluri%20Q8/Orange%20Version/Android%206.0/
Tablet can connect to the PC, but it isn't recognized because "some drivers" missing. How can i install this ROM on the tablet from my pc ?
Thank you.
Hi,
I can't find anything about it on xda or anywhere. You'll need to contact the manufacturer for drivers and instructions on flashing their firmware.
Good luck!
After i tried like almost the entire day i got the tablet in rescue mode or fastboot mode..
I've wiped/data or factory reset and the same happens... it stays in a loop when boot at logo.
I've let it to do so until the battery went dead from 100% and still the same.
I have official ROM but can't install it at all. I think the bootloader is locked?! And it doesnt even unlock it when using some fastboot commands
Also can't install nothing from SD card and when tryin to use ADB the PC can't see the device, but when using fastboot I can work on it.
In rescue mode i've done some root integrity check and at the end of the check some /system files are modified. I believe this is causing the entire problem.

Typically, on devices I know of, it's fastboot that you would use to flash factory images. So you should be good there. But again, I don't know if that is how your device works too. And it would also typically not matter what's been altered on your device, system wise, you would simply flash the appropriate images with fastboot.
So I'd still say you need to determine the correct procedure to flash the files you got from their site. Perhaps there site has instructions? Or a support number for help of its not working as it should?
I've talked with the support. They gave me a link with an official ROM, a different one that the one that was from the site. But they didn't even told how to use it, LOL.
Have the damn files and don't know what to do with them, OMG.
I've placed the zip archive on SD card and tried to use the option from rescue mode with 'update via sd card". The zip archive is visible but after i select it says Installation aborted :|
I've googled around and maybe my tablet needs to be at over 50% power... but it was plugged into the wall it should've worked.
edit: 100% and no good...
edit2: they sent me another e-mail with a pdf file in which it is explained how to flash their device.
Hey
I have a nexus 5 which was rooted and lineageOS was already installed (don't remeber which one, i didn(o do the installation).
I wanted to upgrade to lineageOS17.
I had issues when i wanted to install opengapps. I found some messages on the forum to resize the file system.
Then I had other issues and i did different stuffs with my phone.
In the end, I think my phone is totally dead : evrything is erased and I can't have access to the TWRP interface to install an ne rom or to wipe the phone memory
When I turn on my phone, i am in the bootloader mode.
I choose recovery in orderto get to the TWRP interface but it doesn't work. the phones just turned off.
When i plub my phone to the computer i cant' have access to its storage disc.
I still can root the phone with "CF-Auto-Root-hammerhead-hammerhead-nexus5".
but then I can't do anyhting else.
Is any help possible? or should I just dump my phone?

I would try to flash the last factory image via fastboot.
Hello!
I have tried to upgraded my phone to Lineage 18.1 but it did not work.
This is what I did so far:
1) Installed the NEWEST TWRP and unfortunately I have deleted the OS. After that, the USB connection worked fine and I was able to see all files on my phone.
2) I've found a stock recovery.img that I have used and then the problem started. After installing that recovery.img file now I have TWRP (older version) 2.7.0.0 and:
a) when connected through USB , my computer does make sound, but it does NOT recognize my phone any more. Yes, I do have the newest USB drivers installed
b) when connected through USB and when I run this command: fastboot devices, then it DOES shows my device number, but it DOES NOT any devices using adb command.
c) when booting into fastboot, the phone shows just the black screen with the android faded icon.
d) I can boot into TWRP but there is no system or recovery files in there and it look like it's just useless.
I'm not sure what to do next. It looks like the phone is soft-bricked.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
the first thing i would try is flashing twrp 3.6 (the newest) using fastboot. not sure why you would flash an old recovery version. if data recovery is not an issue then the opo is even fixable after a hardbrick (i used to have it). i used the color os method but that was ages ago. now there is a slightly easier way somewhere here on xda if you want the opo to in out of the box condition.
maybe try the whole thing using a secondary old laptop (if possible) or a virtual machine. otherwise i have no idea. sounds like a lot of trial and error might be needed. good luck.
