Predictive feature lost on Samsung Keyboard - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I don't know when o how, but I've lost predictive text on Samsung Keyboard.
I know, it is not the best keyboard out there, but for me, it is enough and it worked fine... but with predictive.
Any idea about why it is lost?

Reset all the settings for the keyboard and restart the phone. I use this trick to fix my kb on a note 10.1, didn't had the issue on the s7 yet.

It doesn't work with that trick.

Sorry to hear that I hope you'll find a solution.

About auto word of samsung keyboard

Does your keyboard automatically change the word ,written by you, in true word when you do your settings? Even i did the settings true , it didnt work for me. i always have to change it manually from the border above the keyboard. If you have any solution i will be glad to hear that . Thanks .

Word prediction sucked and still sucks with stock keyboard.
Esp. when I forget to change from German to English depending on texting needs (forums, emails, search)
I switched this function off...........
(BTW: this is not much better with Swiftkey once You are really bilingual)
But at least it used to try!

The Default Keyboard resets to Samsung Keyboard after reboot

Hello, I use Thumb Keyboard as my default keyboard but every time I turn off/on the tablet the Samsung Keyboard comes up as the default one. And yes, I set the Thumb Keyboard as the default in the settings. Anyone having this problem? Or a solution?
Thanks in advance...

Update: the problem seems to be only with Thumb Keyboard, I switched to Swiftkey and problem solved, anyway both are great.

Similar issue
I and my husband both have Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets running on Jellybean. Both have SwiftKey installed. Every time we turn the tablets on, we have to set SwiftKey as the default keyboard because it keeps changing it back to the Samsung keyboard. This is driving us both crazy. Our Galaxy Note II phones don't do it. Neither do our old Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablets or the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablets we returned to get the Note 10.1 devices. Does anyone know how to fix this? (I already uninstalled SwiftKey, rebooted, reinstalled SwiftKey, set it as default, and rebooted again to find that the issue continues.)
Thanks!
I had that issue before i rooted my device. Still on stock, but I installed Titanium backup and froze most of the bloat including the stock Samsung keyboard. Golden now.

Check out the SwiftKey website. This is a well known issue.

I have two n8013 bought at same time. One does what you discribed and the other always comes up with thumbs. have not looked into what's causing it.
Mmmm... That's probably not the best solution but I'm going to try that....
Thanks (Afronicus)

I was hoping that wasn't the answer, but I guess we are out of luck for now. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.

Typing on keyboard

Sometimes when I'm typing on the keyboard, some of the letters are not registered even though the touch is. Anyone having the same problem? I'm using swiftkey btw but it's happening on all the keyboards I use including the Samsung one.
nope. Use Swype, don't have that problem or with the default keyboard either.
Ya Samsung keyboard is complete absolute crap

Mine doesn't work anywhere. Before and after update. Cycling the settings on and off. Nothing works... a couple of us started a thread earlier but go no input from anyone.
Mine seems to work fine if i just swipe words tho.
