Hello ppl ...I'm new here ... I've recently rooted my phone and am looking forward to flash a new rom ... but frankly .. I can't make a head or tail out of it .. could someone plz tell me which rom is good for my phone nd how do I flash it ... my phone specifications are .. version is 2.3.3 .. software version is v20b .. nd kernal is 2.6.35.10 ... tho seriously I donno wat dey mean ... plz ppl .. someone help me out !!

What do you want from your phone performance/stability/long battery life??

It should b fast ... shouldn't force close nd all .. is ther something like dat ?? If ther is ... plz tell me how to flash it ... I'm a complete stranger to dis nd am trying to learn ... thanx

You can follow this guide.
It's the same for every rom.
every rom has in title its purpose (gaming, battery life, test).
The choice is yours.
you can choose from many roms.
- stock based
- cm7 based
- cm9 based
- themed rom (if u like "wearing" other phones UI)

Don't jump into this because you might brick your phone in 2 seconds flat. I did it... twice.
I know it's a lot of information but read all of it. Believe me it will save you time in the long run.

Read all the info you find out in P-500 section before flashing (installing) anything..
because if you go wrong somewhere.. you will end up bricking your phone ( bricking means
phone not swtiching on at all ).
Ask here if you dont understand technical words at first!!

back up everything and factory reset.. easiest way possible without root!!

Go with the one that matches your os just in case it needs flashing but sideloading should work fine.

[ROOT][WATER 7][HOW TO] Lyf Water 7 LS-5504

This Method Is For Rooting Lyf Water 7 i.e LS-5504
#Big Thanks To XDA and ME
Proceed At Your Own Risk I m Not Responsible For Any Damage To your Phone
To Begin Root Process First : Enable USB Debugging In Developer Options In Settings
*If U Dont see Developer Options Then Goto About Device In Settings Then Tap On Build No. 7 Times
Now Follow Instructions:-
1] Connect Phone To PC And Install the ADB Drivers I provide In .zip
2] Then Power Off your phone And Then Boot it in Fastboot Mode
3]Then open Start.bat And select Option 1
4] Your phone Will restart many times Dont Panic Just wait And Make sure of Charging and Driver's Installation of Your Phone
5] You Are Rooted Now
Download Root Water 7.zip
Check Post #2 for Bootloader locked F.A.Q

If u See Errors like:- Bootloader Is locked

No buddy no theme engines yet until we r Marshmallow . Substratum starts working from Marshmallow
And the talk of Roms. I m not currently working on one but collecting materials for it ,will start working in a month i have board exams approaching. So sry u have to wait a bit but surely after a month i will. Till then u can suggest what kind of rom u want it would help me

Do take your time mate. Having a custom recovery and root for an unpopular phone like LYF is a big thing.

Isn't tested On Marshmallow . But works with most of lolipop devices . There's risk using ot on Marshmallow so dont try

How did u flashed twrp...i flashed through flashify then after flashing into recovery nothing is coming...then again i m rebooting into revovery stock recovery coming please...help...and i rooted my phone by kingoot.

R u sure u r rooted ? Use Rashr if flashify not working if u have pc then use pc method it's much easier

I saw nubia z9 Mini hardware is somewhat similar to water 7 ( I see both have same kernel too ). Can we do something with that ? I tried to check for their custom ROM so far no luck . I do not see a device forum for z9 mini in xda developers.

Thanks for Informing . And First xam went well not others are comming . And yes this info could help also first we have to make Water-7's own stock zip ROM then further porting is possible without burden .just have to wait till 08/April then i will start making custom rom

@Gautam Maini, "The (Water 7) mobile prompted for an update and when clicked update, the device shut down ( bricked? ) ". This message was from my brother who currently has the mobile. I currently do not have access to the mobile. It seems the newer update ( don't know which update or whether the update caused the issue. I'll ask clearly when I go home ) bricks the mobile. Meanwhile ask people not to update if any update prompt pops up.
Is there any flashable zip that can revive Water 7 if the issue was certainly a brick?

I already told the persons not to update . If device is tempered like rooted or unlocked or custom recovery then updating officially can brick the device .If ur device is purely Factory only then Flash the Official update otherwise​ brick is must . Although sometimes due to Jio's downloading speed issues a damaged update is downloaded which can also cause brick (happned with me on the 1st day i brought device). So now if u r bricked then there are two ways 1).Take the device to Service Center no matter u r rooted or whatever 2).flash TWRP and then i send u a Backup file

Battery problem
Battery shows only 2000 mh
This problem occurred in miui 8 also.
But miui 7 ported by you, have 3000 mh battery.
Please make battery at least up to 3000 mh
Consider base rom as miui 7
So rom will have at least 3000 mh battery.
Is there any way to increase mh of battery.
Please bro reply.....

Hi , Thank you for this wonderful ROM. Using it for 2 days didn't reveal any bugs. Battery of 2000mAH is an issue. But I think it should not be a problem.

New rom update have been released please port that!

NO Sound in MIUI8 and MIUI9
Hi,
Please help me i am using ur rom MIUI8 for many months and it is this second time that though the phone is in general mode i dont have any sound [ ringtone,notification, etc. ] it works only in earphone only and not without.
I restarted the device, removed temp, restored defaults, reinstalled rom, changed rom from MIUI8 to MIUI9 but still the issue persists.
I full clean reinstall for new rom, it did not help, plz help i dont want to move to other roms.

I am face same problem with my device..i am not capable t to running call...but music is work fine....so i am use headphone during call...i think its hardware problem because i am face same problem with stock rom....
So it's over device problem i think..os is work perfectly.

i again tried to install this rom today but got error as failed to extract. Following are the steps peformed.
a. i was on default firmware.
b. flashed philz recovery 6.57.9
c. applied the root.
d. clean format for new install
e. 1.5gb repartition by sachin
f. flashed ur miui9 after sometime got error as - failed to extract.
repeated the process again and then tried to install ur miui8 same result failed. then i tried miui7 by sachin it worked. please help.

Current Miui 9 ROM version 7.9.30 is best rom. Everything is perfect

first of all R.I.P motherboard
its clearly written in the OP of rom that dont install any update through updater app(only in miui roms) cause it can brick your device.
dude you bricked your device search xda "how to unbrick yuphoria".

If you see a black screen after update then just install stock rom via fastboot

i have the same issue it was on auto update ..and now while flashing the stock rom it shows remote flash write failure for system file alone ..rest data and cache and other files r flashing ..only the system one is not ...help me please on what to do
