Hello ppl ...I'm new here ... I've recently rooted my phone and am looking forward to flash a new rom ... but frankly .. I can't make a head or tail out of it .. could someone plz tell me which rom is good for my phone nd how do I flash it ... my phone specifications are .. version is 2.3.3 .. software version is v20b .. nd kernal is 2.6.35.10 ... tho seriously I donno wat dey mean ... plz ppl .. someone help me out !!

What do you want from your phone performance/stability/long battery life??
It should b fast ... shouldn't force close nd all .. is ther something like dat ?? If ther is ... plz tell me how to flash it ... I'm a complete stranger to dis nd am trying to learn ... thanx

You can follow this guide.
It's the same for every rom.
every rom has in title its purpose (gaming, battery life, test).
The choice is yours.
you can choose from many roms.
- stock based
- cm7 based
- cm9 based
- themed rom (if u like "wearing" other phones UI)

Don't jump into this because you might brick your phone in 2 seconds flat. I did it... twice.
I know it's a lot of information but read all of it. Believe me it will save you time in the long run.
Read all the info you find out in P-500 section before flashing (installing) anything..
because if you go wrong somewhere.. you will end up bricking your phone ( bricking means
phone not swtiching on at all ).
Ask here if you dont understand technical words at first!!
DONT FLASH YOUR PHONE WITH INSUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE!!

Hello guyz, here is a totally noob who needs some tip from you all. I a have my new not rooted GalFIT with baseband S5670XWKQ3 , gingerbread build XWKQA with 2.3.4 android. I want start to try some others roms or hacks, but first of all I would to backup my stock's rom.
So how to backup? what I need in order to do this? I have read some threads here around but still dont find a guide totally Noob like me dedicated.

U dont need 2 backup any rom.
Jst download nd flash d rom wich u r currently running on any oder custom rom wic u will flash.

Ur warranty is void only if u root ur phone. It is nt dependent on rom.
have a look here. type gt-s5670 in search and scroll to bottom of screen. If it is there, it´s available, if not I don´t know.

Maybe mine is a kies updated FW from the S5670XWKQ2...
Nd btw creed's rom or cyanogenmod7 r amazing roms 2 strt wid. U shud surely try 1 of des....!

everything worked out well (message displayed .. installation success). but after reboot, my phone stuck at the Intel Xolo logo screen. i have tried reinstalling the rom several times, but always stuck on the Intel Xolo logo screen. please help me to get past this.
i have also made backup of the original rom and it restores quite easily. but when i try installing this custom rom, it stucks at logo screen again. please help me.

You can make add features like Extrance in ur lava xolo without these roms...just search forum and say ***** PLEASE to these rom devs. There is nothing better like stock rom.

actually, i was pretty much amazed by the features that developer described.... however i know the capabilities of the hardware on Xolo A700. but then again i thought let's just give it a try..
as i stated earlier in my above post that i made a backup of the system before installing custom rom.(m not stupid person)
i just restored the backup and my phone is working perfectly.( thanks to good lord)
actually i love the ICS stock rom. stock is the best.

@Ankur Yadav : please donot comment on other peoples work when you havent tried them. We put in a lot of effort in porting roms for unsupported device and if u cant appreciate it please dont make a mockery out of it. I was not able to post it in any forum. so i'm posting this here. I found a new rom of jb 4.1 for xolo a700 aka mito a332. Only problem is it is in some different language. Can someone translate it in english?

And for langiage just change it from indonasian to english from settings

i can see its a modded jellybean... follow my screen shots to get to the language settings..
goto settings>lang. and input>FIRST OPTION!
U could recognise menus by icons... look at the screens..

First of all install proper drivers for canvas 2 in your pc.
Pls use this thread to install proper drivers --->CLICK HERE TO GO TO THAT THREAD.
Then after installing the drivers,sp flash tools will detect your phone when connected.
so then use THIS THREAD HERE to root your phone.
Also pls post any queries and doubts in relevant thread. Like if you face any problem while installing drivers then pls ask in that drivers thread.

Actually framaroot works fine with both boromir and faramir* so u can go for it.u dont need pc or drivers. Jst an apk to install dats it so for beginners it would be easy
