This is a thread for all Indian users out here.
Let us discuss more about the delivery, other competitive phones in this price range, about Moto G's hardware and software and more, updates, queries, doubts, accessories, covers, cases, etc.
Additionally, I am also thinking that we can create a WhatsApp / Telegram group to stay in touch.
Would anyone like to volunteer to be an admin of the group?
I am too busy to administrate the group (adding members), and thus asking somebody from the community to put his hand up for it.
Regards,
Abhishek
Has anyone bought a case/cover for Moto G4 yet?
Yeah its a great idea
yeah, I can create whatsapp or telegram group if you want, also don't buy cases or screen protectors from amazon right now, they are of bad quality and overpriced, wait for some good brands to release, also anyone have any info when the official colored back cover will be released by Motorola? like the ones they released in brazil

I'm kinda paranoid about my phone's screen since I shattered the screen of my ace plus. xD

Hello everyone,
I bought it on the first day and got delivered on 20th. Started using as my main phone coming from Nexus 5.
Has anyone noticed unresponsiveness of fingerprint sensor sometimes? I must press power to wake the screen when it happens. Though it works again without any issues. Is it ok or I should complaint it to motorola?
Nope. No such issues. In fact it works very well.
Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Yes, the fingerprint sensor works really well.
My phone gets quite hot while charging using the camera though.

Hey guys, I decided to take a picture of my diztronic case on the one x for you guys.
I think this is probably the most popular tpu branded case out there.
They run for about 10 dollars, and they fit perfectly for the phone.
I put this case on whenever I go drinking (because you know, drunk calls, texts, your bound to drop the phone)
but here you go guys, hope you guys enjoy the pictures!
Remember to click the "thanks" button, not that it matters, but who doesnt like thanks

I use this case as well, it looks awesome with the dark grey One X. it has a ~1mm raised lip so you can lay your phone down with the screen facing down. also (like any case) it makes it pretty much impossible for you to accidentally unlock your phone while it's in your pocket, so you don't need a lockscreen. just makes the phone seem more sturdy. without it, I can barely tell my phone is in my pocket, which I don't like. I recommend it.
That case looks pretty nice. Is the camera cutout perfect?

I'd say it's not odd/shocking, you can use the device without problem. Proved really useful.
Anyway you don't have to wear it ll day long just add juice when you need.
And it's not a "Case with battery" as this topic starts, and as Mugen one seems to be.
The original thread is there and "Clip On battery pack" was much more accurate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287147

LG has officially confirmed that the successor of the LG Optimus G Pro will be called LG G Pro 2. Apart from that, the South Korean manufacturer did not reveal any other details regarding the hardware specifications and the overall design of the upcoming phablet.
Fortunately, we now have a duo of leaked images, of the G Pro 2 to fill in some of the blanks. The live images suggest that he device will sport a design quite similar to the company's current flagship smartphone, the LG G2. The phablet will feature buttons at the back and its functionality is said to remain largely similar to the G2.
LG G Pro 2 is rumored to sport a 6-inch Full HD display and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset. If the rumors are to be trusted, the phablet will feature many home-baked software goodies such as Knock, Guest Mode and QSlide.
LG has designed the G Pro 2 to rub its shoulders against the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in an attempt to establish its maker as a major player in the phablet market. LG says the announcement is coming at the Mobile World Congress, which kicks off at the end of February. We'll naturally be covering it all live, so don't forget to tune in when the time comes.

There might be an sd card. If you look at the way they designed the rear buttons it looks like the back is more likely to come off this phone and expose the battery and possibly an sd card.
I don't know if I want that or the flex. The Pro 2 specs are bad ass 3gb of ram 1080p screen. But I like the way the flex looks

That's just another variant of the OGP. We have many E985 users currently using these forums lol.
For me, an SD card slot is a must. I've already got my external card filled with ~40gb of stuff not including the vast amount of apps + extra data installed on my internal. This is the main reason why I turned down the G2 in favor of the OGP lol.
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Seems great, I hope it has an SD card slot-ecen better if it also has a removable battery. But a 6 inch screen? I feel like that's a bit large, although lg has been having super slim bezels lately...
With the buttons on the back 6in is perfect it shouldn't be much bigger than note 3. But I'm convinced those "leaked" specs are wrong. Mostly because of this; http://www.droid-life.com/2013/12/30/lg-odin-octa-core-processor-spotted-in-antutu-benchmarks/ and because lg showcased this months ago; http://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-D...pixel-density-on-a-smartphone-display_id46600
I'm pretty sure these leaked specs are a little off. Everyones talking about the s5 is gonna be 2k and im sure lg will try and beatem to the punch. Can't wait till MWC and see what they've come up with.

I used to hate them too... Until I tried the flex out. At that size you only want on screen keys as the screen left is the same as the Note 3, which I have, but it opens up to the full 6 inches when you want it for video.

First time was unfortunately messed up..I used a dust adhesive which makes the film completely unusable. So i ordered second time, installed perfectly using roller.
Oh forgot, the film is pretty thick until i cant feel bulky from phone's edges when film have not put yet.

Removing the anti shatter shouldn't have any consequences. It's not against the TOS, so they should just repair your device.

It is a 3D printed slate of plastic with a Ram Mount ball attached which then attaches to an insert I built for the storage bin underneath the aftermarket receiver in my truck. I was using Automate till Android Auto was released just recently. AA is setup to start automagically when it connects to the Bluetooth in my truck. So far it has been vary reliable. Its a good setup.
I disassembled the Style Shell that came with the phone to determine how it was put together. Turns out it is a simple slab of plastic with metal cups that the magnets sit in and is then covered by a thick layer of vinyl. I then traced the shell and scanned the drawing. Using a Solid Edge (free for students, or at least those that still have there student emails still) I created a 3D model from the scanned trace. I used vernier calipers to verify the dimensions from several angles
I then got on www.3dhubs.com and found a local guy to print it. It only cost $16 to print. I had to ream out all of the holes. Everything was centered perfectly though. I think that is because the plastic was pretty thick.
I simply glued in the super strong magnets and screwed on the Ram Mount ball. I bought the magnets off Amazon from Zafos. Unfortunately they don't sell them anymore.
Here are some more pictures of the my setup.
Very nice!!

It's over my head. I've studied the Moto Mods documentation and can't make much sense of it.

It was in the very first sentence. 7 words in. All one would have to do to see it is start reading the post. It was late and I simply couldn't help myself. And I was quite nice about it actually. I could have rudely pointed out that your reading skills needed work or something like that. I would have ignored it had your post been at all useful. Links with no note or explanation are extremely annoying. No one wants to guess the purpose of a link by what the page address says.
Good day.

Anyone can get the file from the link below. I've included the .par file so you can open it and edit in in Solid Edge. Note that the after printing, the holes on the original dock were slightly too small for the camera bump and the magnets. The holes on version 2 are a bit larger to compensate for that. I havent printed or tested it though.
