[Q Samsung GS3 I747 (Cyanogenmod 13) - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone, I need some help/advice with my device. Here are my questions,
Q1) I'm currently running Cm13 CM13.0-20160520-NIGHTLY-d2att. I'm having a few little battery issues. Sometimes my battery is draining faster than it is being charged on the "Efficient" power mode. Any help with this would be awesome
Q2) I'm also having a few little performance issues. If there was anything (App, flashable mod, etc) that you would recommend that would be a big help.
Q3) Is there any Overclock kernel for Cm13 yet? Specific to my phone.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (GT-I9195) battery drain

Hi,
I'm having the battery drain problem described here: http://www.galaxys4forums.net/forum...-standby-night-no-connection-3.html#post33878
Can anyone tell me if the custom ROM mentioned in the link below (10. Optional: Flash GT-I9195_Kernel_v1.zip to use a custom stock kernel, which might fix battery drain for some.) fixes the problem?

I was unable to post in dev forums, that's why I'm posting this question here.
Thanks.

[Q] kernel

hello community. i am trying to get my brothers skyrocket battery life to last a little longer. i flashed PAC 4.3, everything works great except his battery life is dropping pretty fast. i know sometimes kernels can help with this. Can anyone link me to a good kernel that supports 4.3 for skyrocket? i looked thru the forums but could not find one. any help is appreciated. and if this has been answered a long time ago, i apologize for the repeat.
thank you in advance
I would get better battery stats and see what is using the battery and eliminate as many as those as you can. A kernel is not going to make a big difference.
Edit, see this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31974989

Well if you want a kernel for pac 4.3, here in the skyrocket forums I haven't seen any for pac, there is a just relaesed kernel for 4.4.2 called Moretz Kernal in the forums heres a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694688, that would require a 4.4.2 rom and the 4.4.2 pac rom might not work with it due the hybrid kernel it uses, I would backup the rom with either Titanuim back or somting or nandroid and go test a CM Monthly or one of the roms in the the forums for better batery, theres also this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411161 to help cut down on the battery usage but remember to backup and read the first posts. Also the battery could be old and could contribute to the problem. Hoep this helps

[Q] Best kernel for OPO

Hi all I have this amazing device and I'm starting to flash some custom ROMs. Now I mount Paranoid Android 4.4.4 beta6 with franco.kernel r35
My battery life is less than I expect. I can run my screen for about 4/4.30 hours before my OPO shut down. Now I would know if you use another kernel or ROM and how can I improve my battery life. Thank you all for future answers.

Hi,
Answer to all your question is : Flashing Custom rom and custom kernel . you can modify kernel parameters to help maintain battery life + you can also play with charing current. but be aware . if you are not sure about what you are doing then pls dont go ahead without backing up your current system

[GT-N5100] Extremely slow charging with new ROM. New kernel?

I am encountering the following problem on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 8.0 GT-N5100 tablet: After having flashed TWRP and later Lineage OS 14.1 the battery is charging extremely slow (sometimes even a whole night isn't enough). I read somewhere that getting a new kernel (eg. Redpill) solves the problem. However there is no Redpill available for the GT-N5100 and furthermore I have no idea on how to do it myself. Hence two questions:
1. Would a new kernel solve the charging problem? If yes, would this one do? https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769635
2. Are there any good guides on how to flash a kernel? I am a beginner and pretty inexperienced, so any good guide will be appreciated...
If I am going the wrong way looking for a new kernel, please give some hints on what to do to get the battery charge normally again.
