Hey,
So this is my first foray into this sort of thing. I have some computer background but I haven't really gotten into this sort of stuff.
I have an Asus Eepad Transformer T101. I was requested to load Android 6.0 on it.
I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/eee-pad-transformer/development/rom-t3318496
I had to learn some things my way. User Debugging was on but I couldn't flash recovery. I ended up finally flashing recovery (I forget what step I had to do to use Clockwork Mod Recovery).
Once I was into CWM I had E:\Cannot Mount \sdcard\.
I then found out I had to use a micro SDcard, fine.
I couldn't load anything, and no solutions were working for getting SDcards to work.
I found a thread through google that said to use SD Formatter, to no avail.
Then I found this:
http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...x-bootloops-soft-bricks-all-ics-firmware.html
I have the files and. It was a batch file that loaded ADB then I could flash recovery. I attempted to flash recovery and I got to rogue XM recovery 1.5.0 (CWM - based recovery v5.0.2.8)
I used Nandroid Backup (Note, still could not mount SDcards)to do a backup of everything to the internal storage. I then did a wipe of all user data.
I have a folder called Marshmellow with Katkiss-6.0_025.zip, open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20160219.zip and BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip.
I attempted to install the KatKiss one, and it failed saying:
"Installing Update...
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/marshmellow/katkiss-6.0_025.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted."
So here's where I'm pretty sure I screwed up.
I loaded the Gapps and SuperSU.
Tried marshmellow again, and no luck.
Now the device boots to the eepad transformer screen, lasts a few seconds (usually no more than 10) and then reboots.
I've tried
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012
and
http://justanotherdave.ca/?p=351
The latter simply doesn't work. And I don't think I can get into ABX mode for the former.
Are there any resources on how to "unbrick" the device that may still work. Right now it just keeps rebooting at the nvidia eepad screen. I can get into recovery still.

Hi All,
I've been reading this forum for a good few days now as I am trying to get my Kyros functioning the way I need it to. However, I've run into a few problems and am not 100% sure as to what to do. Before I go on, I'm not very techy, so I would be very greatful if replies could be as straight forward as possible, without much jargon as that really loses me
First off, we've just managed to install the windows and ADB drives. I'm following all the instructions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858952. That took some hacks our side, but is now working.
I'm pretty stuck on the clockwork reboot though. Again, followed the instructions from the link above. When it initially rebooted, it went straight into the Android System Recovery mode (the robot with the triangle opening screen.) I've tried it over and over, following the directions exactly as explained in the link, but all I'm getting is the generic Androis system recov.
The Recovery zip file is on my SD card. Do I need to unzip it to get the recovery.img to show? Is that something that I'm doing wrong? I also updated the OS (I guess) from the coby site before I started working on these other changes.
So basically, this is the issue right now. Trying to get the clockwork to run and all I'm getting is the android system...and that's when it doesn't just reboot back to the home screen directly.
Any advice would be great. Thanks
And out of the blue, after an hour of angry TV watching, it's now worked. I can't tell you what I did differently as I followed all the same steps as before. Must just have been lucky I guess.
I am having the same issue, and i tried to unzip the update.zip but i boot back to the recovery mode, can someone assist me with this, i have a galaxy s (Vibrant).
thanks
Try going to your sd folder and delete the clockwork recovery folder then uninstall rom manager and redownload it from the market after it installs open up rom manager and click on flash clockworkmod recovery and let it download the update.zip file and your done
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Oh yeah after all those steps and you still get back into the stock recovery system click on reinstall package and it should boot into cwm I hope that helps

About the phone:
1. I dont know the exact phone model, but it is Cloudfone Ice plus. There is a phone called Cloudefone Ice (Huwawei u8500) but i dont know if mine has another name.
2. It looks like this,
h++p://cdn2.sulitstatic.com/images/2012/0926/222830332_22162996997ba02ceb979675b8093b33516b3b725d6504ce0.jpg
3. Adroid version 2.2.1
4. Detected as "Globe Phone" in Google Play Market. *Globe is a carrier in our country.
The Problem:
When I turn it on, the android logo appears, and stays like that forever.
Cause:
After I tried to install a custom ROM using update.zip in recovery mode, the process got aborted in the last part of the installation.
5. I'm not sure if it's fully rooted, I have superuser but when I tried Root Checker before, it's not.
Other info,
I already tried to boot in recovery mode(it's the only mode that I get into now), I wiped data and cache/factory reset.(still stuck on boot screen)
I tried to install other Roms(update.zip), but all gets aborted in the beginning
I tried to download an update.app file in a dload folder in the root of sd card(firmware for huwawei)- I can't go to update firmware.I can only go to recovery mode.
I tried adb, I can use adb devices, it shows MT(serial number)
adb shell shows adb shell exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: no such file or directory exists
superboot cant detect the device.
I boot the device using power button+volume up,
when I use power+volume down, android logo appears and "Factory Mode" in the lower left (then It stays there forever, whatever button i press)
These are the infos that I can give, please help, I'm looking for fixes since yesterday from google and forums but no luck, nothing works so I decided to post my own.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my ZTE v967s, if you have any advice, I would really appreciate it!.
How did the problem appear:
1. My phone gave me an error that I have insufficient memory (apps had just few hundred MB, 1 GB was "Missing") so I assumed that it is probably a log file which was soaring and cutting my memory)Phone also had problem to start, I had to restart it few times will the android loaded properly (I assumed it was from the insufficient memory)
2. I have tried following:
a. Factory reset -> it didn’t work, It just restarted to phone.
b. Recovery mode - I wasn’t able to get in to it by holding "Vol+" + "Power" (I should have CWM installed, I did it when I had the phone new together with Max Flavor ROM.
c. I tried following tutorial http://kumaravel-s.blogspot.com/2013/09/storage-space-running-out.html (basically deleted data/log_other_mode)
After the deletion of data/log_other_mode, my phone doesn’t load at all. I either freeze on ZTE logo or it gives me error "encryption unsuccessful reset android" (button reset doesn’t react), lately, it just gives me the ZTE logo
What I tried to solve the problem:
Downloaded SPFlashTool backup ROM from Carliv (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2393986 ) and I tried to flash it in to my ZTE using SP Flash Tool. First 2 steps (red, purple) went ok, the third one (yellow) freezes on 0% and eventually it gives me error "BROM ERROR : S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)"
Screen:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Same error when I flash whole ROM or just Recovery.
Drivers should be ok, I followed this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421
Have somebody had this problem? Do you have some advice what might help?
Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I bought a NEXUS 7 2013 (ASUS-2B16) a few days ago and I didn't like 5.0 so I started to downgrade by myself.
I followed the instruction of this page (I chose 4.4.2 (KOT49H) rom)
https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-downgrade-a-nexus
When I finished everything (I assumed everything went well because I didn't see any error message) and start to run the system, it stays on this screen
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

I thought 4.4.2 is not compatible so I flashed with 4.4.4(KTU84P) manually but with no luck.
So I tried Nexus Root Tool Kit see if I could fix it but again with no luck.
I started to do the research and I found this post from XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2380913
The post description shows the same problem that I have so I followed the instruction until the step "FORMAT DATA in TWRP" then I am stuck again. IT shows an error message that the formation is failed.
After everything I gave up and I tried to follow this post to restore my Nexus 7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2381438
Everything went well but AGAIN I am always stuck at loading page.
I started to look at details and I found some error messages as following.
First I found my Nexus 7 has no OS installed (I am not sure)
Secondly I found the tablet is trying to mount files from E drive but always fail.
I am totally a noob with Tablet but from my experience on Windows system I guess I deleted backup partition by accident. I am hoping this information could help you guys to help me repair my tablet. If you guys need more details please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Sorry, one more thing. When I enter the command "adb devices" at DOS mode I am not able to find the devices. However, when I enter bootloader mode my computer is able to connect to my tablet. Hope this could help. Thanks.
nobody can help ?
Hey guys, I've got THIS going on.
I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 (SM-J500FN) running on stock ROM (a HUN Telenor one BTW).
I have rooted it, and I have TWRP on it.
OEM unlocked. No triangles at boot. Not even one-eyed ones.
Now, here comes the problem.
Whenever I try to copy write or edit files into my /system directory (and it's subdirectories) in any way, my phone freezes for 5-10 seconds, then IMMEDIATELY reboots. I can see the file I copied, but....
It's LITERALLY empty. Seriously, 0 bytes.
I replaced my bootsamsung.qmg with one I freshly converted from a .zip, same. Freeze, restart. At the boot, instead of my new bootanimation, I've got the "Galaxy J5" screen (y'know, "powered by android" etc. Also, yellow "Set Warranty Bit: kernel" in the top-left corner. Whatever.) STILL playing when the bootanimation was supposed to play.
And my phone doesn't respond for approx. 1 min. after the boot finished and the lock screen appears.
I cannot edit ANYTHING. I have my /system mounted R/W, I have permissions OK, root is working.
TWRP also happens to be unable to write, and I tried adb.exe on a Windows 7 PC tried to "push" the file (adb push C:\Users\ProtonPig\Desktop\bootsamsung.qmg /system/media/bootsamsung.qmg), with no errors. But once it finished, I looked at the directory on the phone and... - Guess what? Absolutely NOTHING!
Could someone tell me WHAT is going on, and how could I fix this?
Appreciating ANY kind of assistance.
