Help needed with messaging app - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I know in previous versions of Touchwiz there was a setting that allowed you to only show mobile numbers when typing a name into the messaging app, this prevented the app from presenting a home number from being displayed as a predictive choice. Is this still possible?

[Q] How to modify my notifications from social apps

I have been looking for something that will allow me to edit what my notifications say for privacy from nosy people. I found an app that was called "hide my text - invisible." This app was great for people who use their native SMS app for sending text messages. It allowed me to make my own notification if i receive a text from a certain person. Usually, the notification will scroll the contact's name, and some of the text. This app let me change the notification ticker, text, and the icon, so that if I got a text from a contact, I could change the ticker to read "unread emails." This app is great, however it doesn't work for 3rd party messaging apps, like google voice and text free. I do not have a messaging plan, so I have to use these 3rd party messaging apps. Is there any app, script, or mod that will allow me to have the same exact features of the "hide my text - invisible" app for my 3rd party apps?
My phone is rooted
I have a HTC Droid Incredible
It has a Jelly Bean Rom on it
Any help?

disable app badge notifications on non-Samsung devices using stock Android ROM

I was looking for help disabling the app badge notifications for non-Samsung devices. All the searching I have done seems to point at changing launchers. I would like to figure out how to modify the stock rom. What I have tried so far is using ROM Toolbox Pro to disable the 'NotificationBroadcastReceiver' in the 'Advanced Freeze' section on an app that has the app badge notification. The app badge notification went away for a few minutes and then came back. Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated!
NOTE: I was thinking I might have to edit some .smali files of the app in question. If so, I use APK Editor Pro to disassemble APK files right from my device.
What do you mean by 'app badge notifications'? Notifications in system bar, or, for example, the number of unread messages for some messenger app that appears on the desktop?

Click to collapse
The red bubble with the number that shows up on some app icons like Facebook, Messages, and even on folders if you have folders set up.
Hm, then I don't know either, my only option would be to change launcher as well.
I'm hoping there is a way to disable them by editing the smali code. I am learning smali now, seems similar to visual basic

How to use live messaging notes out of the messaging app

Is there any way to use live messaging notes out of the messaging app and increase the size limit for magical drawings?
The Live Messages feature is also available directly from the Samsung Keyboard. You'll notice on the bottom row, there's the key to toggle between numbers and letters all the way on the left, and then right next to it is another key that you can tap-and-hold - when you do, one of the options is an icon that looks like a drawn heart - that's your Live Message feature. You should be able to load Live Messages in any app where the keyboard loads.

Dual-SIM Dialer and Messaging

Hi all. I just added a second number to my phone (Galaxy S21). This is my first experience with dual sims.
What dialers and texting apps would you recommend for use with two numbers on the same phone?
What I really want is to have two separate apps (or two instances/variants of the same app?) handle the separate numbers. So: have two phone icons on my home screen and two messaging icons on my home screen. One phone icon opens a dialer dedicated to one number. Ditto for text messaging. I can imagine an app that can make this possible by using widgets instead of direct app icons, but I'm not sure that such an app exists.
Appreciate your thoughts.
