Sprint M8 Rooted with TWRP/S-Off...want to upgrade - General Questions and Answers

I rooted my HTC One M8 from Sprint 2 years ago so I could have "free" wifi tethering. I am wondering if I can somehow upgrade to 6.0 with the latest Sense and still have wifi tethering. Could someone please help point me in the direction I should look (or let me know if it is even possible)?

[Q] Android wi-fi calling app

Lurker/noob question(s) here:
Can anyone tell if there is any hacking of the new T-mobile wi-fi calling app that will trickle its way to the myTouch 3G 3.5mm/Magic handset?
Maybe a more appropriate question might be, once we upgrade to version 2.2 (via official T-mo update or root), is this something that might either be inherent to the new OS or will it be something that can even run on this phone?
I see a lot of technical stuff with it going on over in the Vibrant and Nexus One forums, but I am hoping that this will make its way to some of the other T-mo phones.
Thanks in advance.
We had 2.2 ROMs around here for quite a while, and the T-Mo official one came out about twenty days ago.

[Q] 4G Upgrade

I have an MZ601 3G Xoom that I purchased in Asia. I will be going to the US in a few weeks, and was wondering if someone could clear up a few things for me:
1. Is my Xoom eligible for the 4G upgrade?
2. If so, will I still be able to use my Xoom on 3G networks when I am in Asia and Europe?
3. How would I go about doing the upgrade in that it seems to be through Verizon and this Xoom has never been affiliated with Verizon?
4. Since I am running the EOS ICS version 1.0 ( fantastic ROM, by the way), I assume that I would need to change ROM versions after the upgrade?
I appreciate it if anyone could help clear up these questions so that I don't end up doing something that I will regret later on.
Thanks in advance!

tether Sprint Nexus S on 4.1.1

Looking for suggestions on undetectable tethering (over wifi or BT preferable) on unrooted Sprint Nexus S, running 4.1.1. I am willing to root, but have not done so yet, and am a newbie. I am happy to purchase an app. Thanks.

[Q] Give Verizon S3 unbranded stock rom?

Hi everyone - I have a Verizon S3 that I use without any trouble here in the UK. My network (Three Mobile) will soon be turning on their 4G system, and everyone with a 4G device will be able to use it - including me. The only problem is that in order to use 4G you need an OTA update - whether this update is an actual firmware update or just changes to the APN settings, Three don't seem to want to tell me (or more likely, the Three reps don't know).
This OTA update is only going to be sent to Three branded phones and unbranded phones - meaning my Verizon S3 isn't going to get 4G enabled if I leave it as it is.
What I'm wondering, is if there's a way to load the Verizon S3 4G LTE with a standard Samsung ROM that's totally unbranded. That way I should be able to get Three's update and use 4G.
I'm new to this, and I've never flashed a phone before - all Google seems to bring up is Cyanogenmod, but I think that's a bit more custom than I want - I'm looking for something totally vanilla minus the Verizon junk. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? And has anyone used a flashed Verizon S3 in Europe?
Thanks a bunch,
Noam
Would CleanRom 7 work for this? scottsroms .com/downloads.php?do=file&id=415
I see that it's based on "the latest Verizon released VRBMF1 Jellybean 4.1.2 Base and is De-Odex" - does this mean it will still appear to be a Verizon branded phone? Any ideas?
Thanks again.

Possible to unlimited tether on MetroPCS?

So I have a different phone now and I cant seem to get free tethering on metro with it anymore. I was using a HTC Desire 626 and I could tether all i wanted and do anything i wanted. The phone I have now is a HTC One M9 that was originally a T-Mobile phone. It also has marshmallow on it and my other phone had something before that. I have looked all over and couldn't really find anything that worked. Thanks
