Thanks to OP for making this rom. My Blu Pure XL was bricked recently and I used the SP flash tool to revive the phone, rooted it, then installed twrp ver 2.8 and then flashed this rom. My IMEI was broken so I had to root the phone, installed twrp ver 2.8 and used the app chamelophon to restore the IMEI.
this is not sarcasm or snark or meant in any negative fashion; but how did you mess up your IMEI?
I have bricked/unbricked and flashed every possible thing to my phone, and my IMEI has never changed or corrupted... literally have experimented and flashed everything... nothign has happened to my IMEI; and I had a conversation with Bemolx about this sand he didnt know how it happened to other people..

what did u specifically do to corrupt/change your imei

I also have to confess to doing this. I did it by taking trying to load that cm13 rom. I ended up with a soft brick, no display. Upon trying to correct with the recovery process I loaded the wrong image and really screwed it up.

I had rooted my phone about 4 months ago without any problems. Used twrp ver 2.8. In order to apply the OTA updates, I unrooted the phone but could not apply the updates still. When a rom that included the 3/15 updates became available, I decided to go for it. I re-rooted and added twrp 3.0. Before installing the rom, I tried to do a full wipe. Twrp 3.0 spent over 10 minutes wiping cache. I got impatient and interrupted the process. Then I found out that I could not wipe the phone again; kept getting errors. After doing a lot of research, I knew I had to resort to the sp flash tool. This was my first time with the tool and I did not read the instructions carefully enough. I had downloaded the wrong scatter file instead of using the one in the Firmware folder bundled with the rom. At one point I selected the format plus download option when using the sp flash tool. By the time I eventually got the phone to wake up, it had no IMEI.

If you are having trouble doing the downgrade from Lollipop (5.0.1) to KitKat (4.4.2), like no IMEI (baseband) or directly fails when flashing via Odin, here's the solution (worked for me ):
1) Download the following firmware: www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/40444/I9500UBUGNJ1_I9500UUBGNJ1_ARO
2) Before flashing the firmware via Odin, make a full wipe to the device (works best with a custom recovery, making wipe data/cache, format system, preload, modem, internal sd card, dalvik, etc). This is the custom recovery that i used: www.mega.co.nz/#!PNZHQSRA!CCnUXXAyCX8tpvc6riBI-mfRj0U3peESpchIYGFC_XY
3) After making a full wipe, reboot into download mode and flash the downloaded firmware, it should make the process without problems.
4) When the process completes successfully (Odin says PASS), wait the device to restart till the Samsung logo appears.
5) Do a hard reboot to the recovery mode by pressing Volume up, Home and Power buttons at the same time.
6) Then make a format factory reset, finally reboot normally.
This process has worked for me, making a downgrade from the official update 5.0.1 (SER - Russia) to this official version 4.4.2 (ARO - Argentina).
Hope it works for you too. If it helped, don't forget to hit the thanks button and comment bellow :good:

Yes, I've installed a custom recovery (CWM 6.0.50) to do all those wipes, btw if your warranty void counter is on 0 and you want to keep that, don't install this and proceed doing the common wipes on stock recovery (format data - factory reset/wipe cache), and try then flashing the recommended firmware. As I said, I recommend to wipe ALL through a custom recovery before flashing the firmware, cause my counter was in 1 and through this method i was able to do a succesfull downgrade
I've uploaded the custom recovery that I used to do a full wipe. Install via Odin (only for people with warranty void counter 1, or which don't care losing warranty / set the counter to 1):
www.mega.co.nz/#!PNZHQSRA!CCnUXXAyCX8tpvc6riBI-mfRj0U3peESpchIYGFC_XY
Thanks a lot my friend, i will try. Fingers crossed..hope all goes well.

Have you flashed the recommended ARO firmware or another 4.4.2? One more time, this is recommended to downgrade from the russian 5.0.1, I've tested with this one, I don't know if it will work with the indian version.

I got an issue with an P9 [EVA l_09] after upgrading from latest Marshmallow C432 single SIM to Nougat via SD Card update.app and restart. I did similar updates on 5-10 different devices w/o an issue.
Fist part went fine, but with the second [HW_init] it went into this:
http://www.derjackistweg.de/img_20170601_142722_resized_20170601_022749113
I was not able to flash ANY different update.app after that via SD card [weather Marshmallow 1rst or later version]
The device is stock - NO change in Bootloader
I do not have any recovery from before or whatever.
I do want to use this device in whatever Firmware!
PS: I cannot post by myself. Though my account is 11 (!) years old - I am not experienced enough Back in the day I had more posts of course, XDA made changes over the years.

My journey to overcome Google's FRP and to root my VFD 1100
Hey guys (and gals). Firstly, I'd like to say that I am a complete novice at rooting phones so this has been a harrowing experience. I have had a real round about experience rooting my VFD 1100. I successfully managed to do it but it took me a whole day and involved soft bricking it (no OS and no ability to access the recovery menu) but I managed to bring it back to life. This is my story.
I have had my device for 10 months but last used it in July. I forgot my unlock pattern and did a factory reset only to find out about the Factory Reset Protection (FRP). I tried using the email address that I previously used on the device and got the 24 hour waiting period message. I didn't read the message propery and tried about 5 times using 3 different email addresses before reading it properly. I then waited 36 hours and still got the 24 message. I then did some research and read somewhere that 3 failed attempts to log into my Google account while still in FRP mode would lock it permanently and only Vodacom (Vodafone in South Africa) could unlock it with a proof of purchase. I was given the tablet as part of my college enrolment so that was out of the question so I looked into re-flashing it.
With lots of research I came across numerous sites (including here) with a step by step process. I downloaded and installed MT65XX preloader drivers (and also had the "This device cannot start (Error 10)" problem and subsequently found out that it didn't matter), TWRP and SPFT. I flashed superuser.zip but while I was there, I fully backed up my device and then formatted everything (including the system partition), not expecting it to remove the operating system and restarted. Well, that was not the greatest idea in the world because all I got after that was "Powered by Android" and nothing else. No OS, no ability to load the recovery tool, NADA! I honestly thought I had bricked the tab.
But I am a stubborn bastard and refused to give up. I found that if I used SPFT and flashed all the firmware including the boot preloader, boot partition, system and all the rest, I should be able to recover the device. I started looking around for an Alcatel Pixi 4 9003 firmware flash file and found LOADS on Indian sites (where the Vodafone VFD 1100 is called the Alcatel Pixi 4) but they were all password protected. I should have just stuck with "Vodafone VFD 1100" cos I got the firmware files, loaded them into SPFT, flashed the device and BOOM! IT WORKED! Straight back to stock. I took a 99.99% bricked device and brought it back to working condition.
All credit has to go to @kirito9 for his post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72282703&postcount=1732). His guide worked perfectly. My device is now rooted and I've even started customising the boot animation and other stuff.

I can help you root your device. Whatsapp me on +2778 2095899
I have made and decided to share a TWRP flashable Project Spectrum zip that includes TWRP-.3.1.1-0 for spectrum. It is a full spectum rom including bootloader, firmware and TWRP recovery. It can be flashed from either ColorOs TWRP or Spectrum TWRP.
Install Instructions
- Do a full wipe first or the install will fail. (In TWRP hit WIPE then swipe to factory reset.) Do a backup first as you will lose data.
- Flash this zip file through twrp and then hit "wipe dalvic and cache", then hit HOME then REBOOT then RECOVERY. (rebooting to the new recovery will ensure the recovery sticks) then Flash any mods you want (eg. supersu ,magisk, exposed etc) and reboot to system. Enjoy
Return to ColorOs based ROM Instructions (ColorOS Bootloader, firmware and twrp)
(rebooting to the new recovery will ensure the recovery sticks) then Flash any TWRP flashable ColorOs based rom or restore any ColorOs based backup. NOTE the Spectum system and boot.img will still be there but wont boot so you MUST flash or restore a ColorOs based rom before you reboot to system.

Yes, but it is a full ROM, including bootloader, all firmware and twrp. Did you read the OP. It says all of this in the description. Make sure you follow ALL the instructions and do the wipes or it will fail. I will be adding more zips to return to ColorOs soon.

No, coloros back ups require coloros bootloader and firmware. When I upload the zip to return to coloros bootloader, firmware and twrp, you can flash it then restore coloros backup.

It is the latest released version of Project Spectrum. No real changes except oppos(slight improvement over the 1st release). I have flashed it many times.
Ps I have added the file and instuctions to return to ColorOs in the OP.

There is no ColorOs rom in this thread. I think you need to read the OP again. All files in this thread are twrp flashable, but if you don't understand what they're for you best leave them alone.
I will post a latest full ColorOs ROM in the next few days.

Yep, the rom from tanvir is twrp flashable but I was planning on uploading 1 that includes unlocked bootloader and twrp.
I have been trying to build lineage based on spectrum firmware, that was my reason for making all these zips to swap between spectrum and ColorOs firmwares. Unfortunately it seems that lineage have abandoned plans to switch to spectrum base last night (also f1f support). So we'll see where this ends up. I won't stop trying, but the road ahead looks difficult.

Oppo company sucks they don't want to make our kernel open source, they just want to make money
