Stream software tablet pc playing RTS games - General Questions and Answers

I tried some streaming solutions. From NVidia, splashtop.
But they all have the same way of controlling the mouse.
If I control the mouse via touch, the mouse is always a bit, above the place where I am touching.
This is annoying.
Is there software where the cursor, is made to DIRECTLY be at the place where you touch?
This would improve RTS games 200%. played via this way

[Q] Gaming using the QWERTY keyboard dock?

this topic androidguys.com/2011/10/24/turn-your-galaxy-nexus-into-a-pocket-console-with-ice-cream-sandwich/ made me think about gamign on the transformer, using the qwerty keyboard - is it possible to use the WASD keys similar to gaming on the PC? do I need a special app for capturing the key presses and "translating" them into something most android games can use?
well, no, however, most games don't use the keyboard anyway. Most emulators will support the keyboard right off the bat. If you're talking about flash games then, yes, it will work perfectly for those however, don't expect good mouse control in flash games. So, it really depends on the game because, to most apps, the dock is just like an attached keyboard and will treat it as such. Also, you CAN use a wii, ps3, or wired xbox 360 controller for games, it that's your thing (mario kart plays really well with the wii and nunchuck controller, just sayin)

[Q] Modern Combat 3 - keyboard + mice on multiplayer mode

Hello
Ive been playing some games on TF for some time now, especialy Modern Combat 3. Its preety hard to get used to touchscreen controls and as i've been thinking if only we could use our keyboards and connect a mice to it and play a game like PC game? It would be much easier and playable
but when I connect mice, there is a pointer (mouse pointer, like on homescreen when using touchpad) that acts like my finger so its no use from it. Is it possible to set it up and run the game like PC shooters? (moving arround with mouse, shooting when the left button and so on?)

I do this with an xbox controller with gamepad mapping to touch, but I think it'd be really hard to do with a mouse Dx you'd have to mod the apk
Ok, now you have a video game. Just buy a PS3 bluetooth controller and plug it on the HDMI 52" Television with Home teather.
Or, play with the keyboard and mouse and think that it is a full computer graphics game, like CoD or MW3

Xinput emulation + streaming possible?

The main challenge with streaming from a non nvidia or lower grade nvidia gpu is
xinput.
Despite streaming the game flawlessly Controller support does not work on the shield gamepad natively, they just work as keyboard WASD etc buttons for playing games which is not comfortable.
Is it possible to overcome this limitation by getting SHIELD recognized as a 360 controller/detected as a xinput device.
This would complete the gaming experience. Somehow this is done in GFE and shield's native streaming.
Not sure what you mean. Are you trying to use the native nvidia streaming or something else? If it is something else you can try to use the xbox360 controller emulator.

streaming via splastop, and I want to emulate the 360 controlled on the shield gamepad.
example
I connect 360 controller to pc, now the game will work with controller support on.
I stream the game to my shield, But i dont want to use the attached controller on the pc, I want to emulate the controller on my shield.
Don't know any way to do that one.
Kainy does this perfectly! And has many other great features. Say goodbye to x360ce!

[Q] Stream non shield supported games?

I am considering picking a shield up for my wife. I got her Elder Scrolls Online, and she very much enjoyed playing it with a controller. I used Xpadder to map all the controls and it worked wonderfully. My question to anyone with a shield is could i stream ESO to the shield. I know the game isnt officially supported, BUT if i used a third party app such as splashtop I could easily see the game on the devices screen. But would i be able to map the keys into xpadder? How does the shield connect to the computer? It would be AWESOME if this was possible, I just have no idea how i would map the shields controller to the PC.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
I'm not sure about ESO, but you can stream any non-Steam game to the Shield by adding the program/app to your Steam game list.
As for Xpadder, the Shield uses Xinput when playing games over game stream, so if you can get xpadder open and map the controls to a 360 controller, you should be able to then use the Shield with Xpadder when game streaming. Not 100% certain on this though, so you'd have to try it first.

[Q]-Joystick controls while PC steaming

So I've done my first attempts at PC streaming last night with my shield. I noticed I could only use touch controls until I did the double finger tap or the hardware button that brings up that little overlay with home/help/etc. Once I close this overlay, joystick control of the UI stopped and it was back to just touch. As an example, I pulled up Hearthstone on the shield. I had touch control only but the joysticks worked fine when using the grid beta (I tried some Red Faction). How do I use the joysticks while doing PC Streaming? I saw in nvidia's faq/demo video that he's playing Borderlands 2 on the shield and using the joysticks.
As an aside, I'm rooted, button savior is running and haven't yet upgraded to the kitkat OTA but it is there waiting.

Is Hearthstone the only game you've tried? Hearthstone does not support controllers afaik (the supported game list shows that it supports m&k though). You may want to try a game that does support it, such as L4D2 or Borderlands 2 as you mentioned.
Other than that I haven't had issues playing supported games with the controller.

Well what's available to me atm is Stick of Truth, Hearthstone, Titanfall, few others. So it has to be on the supported list for the joysticks to handle cursor movement in the UI? When the little overlay is up, the joystick will move the arrow and the buttons act as mouse clicks. Once I close the UI, it's back to touch only.

On that list I linked, when it shows the mouse and keyboard symbol, it means that it supports bluetooth or usb mouse and keyboard. The gamepad on the shield will send signals as a gamepad in any streamed game, no matter what. It doesn't mean that the controller can be used as a mouse, unfortunately.
So basically, South Park and Titanfall will work fine with the Shield controller, but Hearthstone does not have controller support, and Shield won't act as a mouse like it does in the usual Android interface for it.
