Best roms - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

Finally upgraded and got back into the note. It's been a while since I rooted and flashed Roms and I was hoping for a ton of work in this section. I took the upgrade now I'm with MM 6.0.1 and I'm looking for best Roms to use. Basically asking for opinions. I'm familiar with Jovy and Sbreem like I said. It's just been a while. I'm into the aosp look and feel.

Darthstalker. Hands down. I have used the Lollipop version and now the Marshmallow version. I've had Android phones since the HTC Hero and Darthstalker ranks among the most stable and feature filled ROMs I've used and doesn't sacrifice speed for the flexibility either.
You won't find AOSP so just use a launcher. Exynos chips make AOSP very difficult to pull off. Anything that has been made tends to be rather unstable.
Now as for my recommendation of Darthstalker, that's my personal opinion. I would spend a day trying various ROMs until you find what suits you. There aren't a lot of options for the Note5.

Just tried CM13 unofficial (page 44 on CM13 fundraiser, note 5 general) it's not quite stable, but it's so close. It still needs allot of dev/troubleshooting love and support.

It's only for the T variant at the moment. That's the model device that he has.

It's only for the SM-N920T so yes I did. If they don't use TWRP's built in file manager to erase system/lib/omx and lib64/omx after installing the ROM and GAPPS, it won't boot that was clearly stated in the announcement. It booted just fine for me. ResurrectionRemix(also for the n920t) is having issues. Rom boots but gets stuck. Edited because it is less user error, although there's still allot of user error. Like all the people whom are mad because it won't boot on there n920x when the op clearly says it is only got the n920t.

Thanks guy's. I appreciate the feedback. If there wasn't a lot to chose from I was going to go with Jovy anyway. Long time buddy of mine. Just gotta knock off the webs. Hope their is more development in this section for our device.

Question about this phone over WiFi thing. I use groove ip on my n7 too make calls how does this Rom differ?

New developer is welcome.
I flashed this rom and never got past the boot screen, more than 15 mins. I tried doing a clean install, meaning I wiped everything.
That's weird it works on mine perfectly
Pm me
Does anyone else have this problem?
I can verify this ROM will not boot up. Tried from a complete clean wipe.

Make sure your not flashing any other kernels. Also we used twrp 2.5 and 4.18 bootloader. Try with these instructions
Oh and make sure your on the WiFi version

I'm able to boot up now. I had to switch to TWRP. When I try to make a call, I get a pop up saying "Mobile network not available." Is there a setting that must be turned on to make the call feature work?

What do you mean, make sure you are on the WiFi version? Your DL link only takes you to the file DL. There is no option to select. I think you have a bit of work to do.

No major changes to UI? - basically like an incremental update then? maybe just a money spinner hence the KitKat link... and not the Key Lime Pie 5.0 people were expecting.. - ART running OK? - KNOX issues? Change to internal HD size due to smaller OS or bigger OS?
Does it allow you to change from Dalvik to Art?
Isn't the leaked test build on Sammobile..... I did seem to see it being teased yesterday on their site. Sorry I gotta call bs on this since it's already leaked.

When the Android System +AndroidOS have a combined usage of 28% ( more than screen usage)...NOTHING is OK....
It's really annoying to see that OS drain problems being kept over higher version of Android.
I don't have the new play services 4.1 update yet which is supposed to help. Battery I am getting 20+ hours of moderate usage. Good enough for me

Installed and running. Nothing specific to say, seems to run fine. Good job!
Seems I don't get 4G where I usually have. Can your rom affect signal quality?
Virtual navigation bar is enabled at first boot. No need for our device.
I can't find back how to disable backlight on menu and return button. Any idea?
Thanks

S7 edge port

I was looking through the international thread, they have a few of s7 edge ports. I'm not a developer, hopefully someone can tell me why we haven't gotten this yet.
Possibly because it's up to anyone able to do it, wanting & taking the time to do it.
That's my problem... Time. I have to work 2 jobs, plus my kids.
we just need the patch so all the gsm international roms can work with our cdma radios.

That's the easy part, just make a backup of the stock mm kernel in twrp. The hard part is getting sprint calls messages and data to work.
Im on unlocked sprint so after mm kernel release ill be able to flash no problem? Thanks for your help
So, now we have a good mm kernel, thank you @UpInTheAir
I tried a s7 port river rom it said no sim which equals no data . It's a nice rom i like it alot things seems very fluid. I flashed the fix we have but it's not for marshmallow so it will just stay at the the splash screen.

I'll wait for @tdunham mm Moar rom, maybe he'll port the features.
Same here, got roms to boot, for the life of me, can not get data.
S7 edge app is free on playstore it will do til we get it ported .
