PROCEDURE:​1). INSTALL 7ZIP LATEST SOFTWARE ON TO YOUR PC.
2). DOWNLOAD THE ABOVE FILES AND PLACE THEM ALL IN ONE FOLDER ON YOUR PC.
3). RIGHT CLICK ON pre_rooted_GT-S7582.7z AND SELECT 7ZIP.
4). THEN SELECT OPTION "EXTRACT HERE" NOW YOU WILL GET THIS ONE FILE NAMED pre_rooted_GT-S7582.tar .
5). DOWNLOAD ODIN ANY VERSION AND OPEN THE ODIN,EXE.
6).THEN SELECT PDA, BROWSE FOR pre_rooted_GT-S7582.tar FILE AND SELECT IT.
ENTERING DOWNLOAD MODE:​
1). SWITCH OFF YOUR MOBILE, AND PRESS VOLUME DOWN+HOME KEY+POWER KEY ALL AT ONCE AND WAIT FOR DOWNLOAD MODE TO COME.
2). PRESS VOLUME UP KEY TO CONTINUE INTO DOWNLOAD MODE.
FLASHING THE FIRMWARE FILE:
​
1). NOW CONNECT YOUR MOBILE TO PC VIA USB CABLE.
2). THEN PRESS START IN ODIN, THEN LET ODIN DO ITS JOB.
3). YOUR MOBILE WILL REBOOT AFTER FLASHING COMPLETED BY ODIN.
4). FINALLY CHECK FOR, SUPERUSER.APK, AND YOUR MOBILE IS ROOTED :good:

I've got an s7582 on the way and want to root but have some queries. I saw your previous posts in the other s7582 thread and was wondering about your rooting method. Did you root your pre-rooted firmware with kingo or vroot? If so, I think this raises the question as to whether or not it is malware susceptible.

No I din't use any of those..
I simply used my automated script to unpack and repack the system.img available in the firmware package..
you can check my signature for auto-preroot script...
if you hav linux os preferably Ubuntu follow the method you will see for yourself. . :good:
And one more thing, pre rooting the firmware using kingo and vroot not possible at all...

I am not good in CWM , and even if I wanted to build CWM ..
My pc does not meet the minimum requirements. .
So need to wait for some one to do it..

Nope not any...
Waiting for CWM..

It is possible to get Android 4.4 for our device but we need samsung to introduce a device cimilar to ours with android 4.4.2 as standard & then use that rom to build as base for ours. one more thing DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING VROOT OR KLINGO : THEY ARE CERTIFIED MALWARE .

This method will allow access to Safestrap for Verizon Lollipop users.

1. Download and install NI2Flasher.apk
2. Download and copy G900V_OXX_Stock_KERNEL_SafeStrap-Flashable.zip to sdcard.
----Both kernels are 5.0.1 choose whichever you need for the rom you will be running.
3. Run NI2Flasher and select flash.
4. Grant root access for NI2flasher
5. After the app flashes the NI2 kernel tap the reboot button.
----This will reboot your device directly to Safestrap.
6. Backup or flash rom/mod/whatever.
7. Do NOT forget to flash the G900V_OXX_Stock_KERNEL_SafeStrap-Flashable.zip afterwards.
----If you do forget you can always select recovery at the Safestrap splash screen.
8. Reboot system after flashing your preferred Lollipop kernel.
9. Profit!
****NOTICE: Safestrap backups of Lollipop are rather large.****
NI2flasher.apk is not my own creation. This app was created by @benwaffle for the ATT Galaxy Note 3 (original thread) Thanks to him for his excellent app.
I only edited and recompiled it to accommodate your needs on the Verizon Galaxy S5.

Thanks for porting NI2flasher, been waiting for this for a while.

Woah....this is pretty cool! Have not tested yet.....but this will make alot of crap easier for people.

It works great, it's sweet. Almost as easy to use safestrap as it was on kitkat.
It even makes sure safestrap is installed, so if you tried to use it after installing a new ROM you wouldn't get stuck with the wrong kernel and no safestrap.

Would someone help me please? I just made a big mistake on my Verizon S5 rooted with SS all stock and was wondering is their any way out of this mess, I just accidentally accepted the OTA update , not completely however I did loose root as well as SS. It happened so damn quick. Been canceling the update about a week now but I got caught today. Went into about phone and noticed that I'm on 4.4.4 NK7 now. The OTA update did not complete because after one session of the update it asked to install what Im assuming is the other part of the update but I canceled it. What are my options or can someone point me to the right forum. Thanks in advance.

I'm not versed on the S5 but I know on the VZW S4 the ota that came before lollipop was able to be downgraded via odin.
Could you odin to the last rootable version you had?
Can anybody confirm this?

Was thinking the same way but wanted it to be confirmed before I continued, as I mentioned before I only accepted the first small update not the 2nd update. ..to answer your question. ..no I have not tryed to Odin back... thanks for your input. ..

The S5 has not been "screwed" like the S4 has. Even if you update all the way to 5.0 (OA8/OC4/OD5) using OTA's, you can Odin back to stock (NCG)
You could just Odin flash the NCG kernel from NK7, use towelroot, install SuperSU, update the binary, then Odin flash the NK7 kernel.

Tryed to flash the NCG kernal but it failed.... MD5 hash value is invalid...this what it said

That's.. odd.. I literally just opened the file in Odin and it says the MD5 hash is valid.
I even downloaded it from the link I posted and tried that to see if something happened during the upload but it's still valid.

Don't know when these guys are going to follow Huawei in allowing customers to root the device.

I also got this tab as my mom gifted me. I rooted it three times and installed xposed twice. Once to renable i flashed the stock rom,but the second time i just deleted record of rooting and unrooted it. The logs can be deleted by using many tools. Currently, I am using xposed. When i would want to unroot, I will just delete the log and unroot it the warranty will be reenabled.

Please tell me how to delete the logs and unroot it. I want to delete the crapware in the tab. Thanks

I had installed it on KitKat never tried on Lollipop!

May be it requires an update for working in lollipop

Now its working but i wanna adk You a question if the recovery downloading had something wrong due to this the recovery IMG got currupt and flashed that then would the phone boot??

and yes the tab would boot even the file was not flashed currectly

Flash twrp and root su 2.71 and i think you have to factory reset so try after flashing twrp.so you wont loose anything then flash su 2.71

I've been at this for a while and can't seem to get TWRP to install. I've rooted the phone with the W8 Autoroot, but the TWRP installation seems to just mess the phone up. I have to Odin back to stack CKOC and start over. Which version of TWRP can be installed using Odin safely?

Flash these and you will have no problems, forget the W8 autoroot it's not needed.

Thanks... I screwed up the phone last night...bootlooped, non-start, everything because I just updated without Odining back to Stock! Boy, did I pay for that! So now I get it straight, and find out the phone isn't even rooted like I thought it was. Thanks for the info here. I'm gonna do it shortly!

Everything works except system root with supersu, systemless works fine

I have 903F , this work perfect , but have one error, when select WDCMA (3G) , it show "4G" , when select 4G show LTE ))
I try this version in Romania , with Digi.Mobil.
Canada no have "3g" ?

systemless means magisk or chainfire systemless ?

Magisk systemless working fine, when i say systemless root i mean chainfire SuperSU.
So,
Magisk is ok
Chainfire SuperSU systemless is ok
Chainfire SuperSU configured to install in /system via SYSTEMLESS=false in /data/.supersu cause bootloop.
My knox is at 0x1 since the first day i have the phone because of twrp.

Yes it works but if you go to supersu settings you will see it's limited root by limited it mean systemless root

not limited in supersu, dl root checker too, everything's normal. Restore apps with tb right now.

u'r right buddy. anyway it works flawless. restoring with tb works fine and u could flash viper too.
seems to be a bit heavy on the battery !?

I dislike latest supersu that's why i always give 2.74 which works great. Anyway, on samsung device (since 2 years or more) the only rooting is systemless. No choice at all. Magisk used first, systemless feature from chainfire. Idk now.
