Apply theme to Secondary User - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hello everyone!
I have a main and a secondary user in my Galaxy S7. In the secondary user I can't find the option "Themes" under "Settings so whenever I change user I have to wait for a "theme-change" process.
Does anyone know how to enable "Themes" for the secondary user?
Thanks,
Bruno

Anyone?

Did you create a new user, or just use the guest account?

I just tried it out and unfortunately it seems that Samsung thinks that other users don't need themes. Which means that unless a custom rom allows to use themes on a secondary user, there is no way to do so on an official Samsung rom.

I'm already using a custom rom, rooted, etc etc. I know this is expected behavior, just hoping someone could come up with a workaround.
Thanks anyway

Samsung app store apk?

I installed AR 11.1 and noticed the Samsung App Store is not included. I thought I just missed the selector to install it so I reflashed and no option in the Aroma installer. Is there any way to get it?
Thanks

I think that ROM isn't Touchwiz based, so it doesn't work.

You shouldn't install them as a normal app.
Your device has to be rooted.
Make a backup for your system apps and replace them with the downloaded apps and finally give them correct permissions.
If you follow the above links you will see how to install them in details.

My understanding is that Samsung Pay requires hardware that is not in the Note 4.

Actually the stock font is really close to the font I use. That's why I thought it was installed.
Guess we need root.

my mate 9 is rooted and i was able to install and use the fonts in the above link; so it's likely true you need a rooted device to change fonts.

No need for root.
Installed this crazy looking one.

Porting .apk files from One Plus to work on Samsung

I'm not sure how to phrase this, because I tried my best to look up similar questions and I couldn't.
In simple terms, can you guys tell me why an apk from One Plus wouldn't install on my Samsung phone? And is there a work-around to fix this issue?
Thanks.
Some apk requires firmware related features. Some needs to be installed as system file.
It'll help a lot to know what you are porting over.

I'm trying to run the One Plus screen recording app on my Samsung Galaxy S9 (exynos, running a Lineage OS 17.1 custom ROM). I hope that helps.

Those apps are likely system apps and won't work elsewhere unless modified.

First, compare the original app of its compatible with the version of Android ln your samsung s9 lineage os. If it's not compatible, then no.
Next check what is the properties granted to the app on oneplus. Grant the same permission. It might even need to be flashed in from custom recovery.
Next, check for required packages that the app is using. Try to port them over as well.
Tbh, why don't you just use a third party app to screen record.

Thanks for the tips. I recognize that it would be easier to download a third party app. I asked this here out of curiosity and for future reference.

Not the firmware exactly, just the stock launcher and maybe the kernel.
