Midframe antenna stickers loosened. Any repair-buffs out there? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey! so I accidentaly tore of the stickers shown in the picture. Seems like there were some contact points that got torn apart. I cannot tell whether these should be soldered or just reapplied.
What do they do? Can I repair it myself?

[Q] Can this be repaired?

So I bought this off eBay to replace the screen and fix it, but when I opened it up I found this(look at pictures) one of the ribbon holders fell apart as I took off the tape. God knows how it was working. The drop must of shattered it. So any suggestions on what I should do, I was thinking some really strong tape to keep the ribbon in place but I doubt that will last very long. The bottom part that connects it is still in good shape.

[Q] What to look for on new (used) purchase

Just bought an AT&T G3 from somebody. It is said to be a few weeks old and looks mint. I don't see a water sticker under the battery door. Can someone tell me where to look and what else I should look for on this phone to verify no damage?
Other than the usual places when purchasing a phone, like sim/sd card tray, camera, outer casing, glass, etc. The water indicators are both on the battery (by the contacts) and just to the left of the laser autofocus lens, if I'm missing something, someone else please chime in.
Check for crack along the IR blaster...on top of phone
Use secret menu and check the qfuse.

[Q] Chip (gyroscope) came off during screen replacement

Hey folks, Doing my screen replacement on my N5 and got sloppy. Gyroscope chip popped off camera unit.
Should i just order a new camera unit, or is there a way to re-adhere this thing?
See picture.
thanks for your help all
You can resolder it with heat gun
Get a new one. Unless your soldering skill is above adverage
SENT BY ENTANGLEMENT
No not that skilled. Just placed an order for a new one. Thanks folks
So if my gyroscope is not working, I should order an entire camera unit?
These chips are surface mounted. You'll need to add solder paste to each individual copper plating then place the chip on top correctly. Then you'll need to apply heat evenly for it to solder back together. You could do this using an oven if you remove the lens and flex cable. Just remember to place the IC the right way on the board and don't short-circuit anything.
It's much harder than it sounds if you want to do it right. I used to do this for a living and I use $20,000+ machinery to do it.

Horizontal area not picking up touches. Could this be a grounding issue?

Hi,
Hope somebody can help me. I purchased a second hand oneplus one of which the screen was broken. I purchased a replacement screen and replaced it without any issues. After powering it back up and starting to use it I noticed there was an horizontal band around the middle of the screen not picking up touches. I opened it again and tested the same without the cover (camera lens and flash) and it worked fine. When putting everything back and closing it, the problem reappears. I noticed from looking at the tear downs pictures I was missing a small plastic piece sitting to the right of the connector and above the ear piece. No idea what it's is purpose but it is missing. I've read that some users have grounding issues and maybe this missing piece is important to ensure the connector and flex don't touch other parts of the body.
Anybody knows what the function of this plastic piece is and where I can purchase one. All resellers I found don't sell this piece. Agreed it doesn't look like it could get faulty but in my case I or the previous owner lost it.
Thanks.
Just put some tape where the piece should be and you should be fine.
I have the exact same issue, but my plastic piece isn't missing. Did you manage to solve it?

Camera focus problem

After disassembling my phone to change the usb port, camera is not able to focus on nearby objects. I have installed another program to handle the focus manually but not luck, the focus is moving when i slide the bar, but with nearby objects is blurry. Any idea???
Did you replace the port pcb with the same part number?
Check any connectors you took off for damage to the pins or misalignment. Check ribbon cables for damage. Reassemble exactly as it was disassembled... watch some tear down vids, maybe you missed something.
Loose components and pcbs are more susceptible to ESD damage... ESD protocols should be observed. At least keep room humidity above 45%! Wear cotton clothes.
Did you replace the port pcb with the same part number?
It's identical but with different part number.
I cheked the connectors, good solder and alignment. May be i have to use a magnifien lens to check SMD connectors, sometimes when you remove a connector welding can break .......

Not identical, wrong part. This could be the cause. To verify this put the old pcb back in to see if it resolves the issue.
If so you need that exact OEM part.
Also the BGA chipsets are impossible to inspect with their dozens of solder joints under the chipset... but I don't think that's the issue.
Finally resolve, the problem is the lens protector, when i removed it, camera focus its very fast even macro scenes.
There are two issues with the lens protector, is lightly gladed, but the most important, the distance between the camera and the lens, as show this video:
