Dear Team,
Many of the developers have posted some ROMs for the Huawei Ascend G700-U10 in this forum and also on needrom.com. But many of them have come up with the problem of network stating BASEBAND: UNKNOWN.
The reply for the problem is said to be that of flashing modem.img of the stock rom of this device. Can anybody plesae post the step wise tutorial / instructions as to flash the modem.img for any custom rom for Huawei Ascend G700-U10.
Hi, you don't have to flash it. Just replace the file /system/etc/firmware/modem.img with the file of the U10 stock ROM, set correct permissions (rw- r-- r--) and restart your phone.

I'm sorry but I have no idea about Samsung phones. On the other hand that's not a rare phone and usually someone should be able to help. Good Luck!

I just received my new STAR Q9000 and like an idiot I tried flashing it with an S5 Butterfly ROM without creating a backup.
And I bricked it. :silly:
I'm having trouble finding a stock ROM with a preloader. NeedROM and Pandawill have them but again no preloader was available.
May I ask help from any Q9000 owners out there to provide me one?

You might be out of luck on this one, it seems to be an uncommon device. Maybe try asking the place you bought it from and/or the manufacturer? (you will probably need google translate or a friend who speaks the appropriate language).

I have added a ROM at needrom with a good preloader. I done the same mistake as you and save my phone with this rom.
I'm not authorise to post a link but you should find it with this extension.

I just flashed a custom rom on my Huawei Ascend Y511 and I forgot to make a backup on my original rom.
I made a backup on the original rom using the system backup, but when I flashed a new custom rom, I can't restore those messages/contacts/call log, etc. I found the Huawei Backup APK on the SD Card, but it says it wont install on my Device. I also found the backup files such as bookmark.db, calendar.db, sms.db, contact.db, calllog.db . How can I restore those if I am using a iOS7 rom.

My guess is the app requires the original software image to work/install... So it won't do you any good on some custom roms, aside from possibly ones that are just stock with a few changes. And all your backup files surely rely on the app.
Again, only a guess. And to get help on this, you will need to ask here,

There are different versions of the y511. Need the rest of your model information to look.

I already found the stock rom
I found a y511 u30 stock rom but I couldn't flash it using CWM. I tried using SP Flash tool but it is not reading my device. Can you help me on this? Thanks

Do you know the exact specs of this device. you should look these up and compare them to the other 10.1 devices. I AM not sure any rom on this forum will help ..

Specs for SHW-M485W
1. WiFi only
2. 16gb internal memory
3. Build in Korea
I have found similar products. I flash those roms (SHW-480W) through oidn at the end of processing the odin giving result as Failed.
When I use the other model Rom having similar specs (GT-N8013) its failing at the beginning only saying the model number is not correct.
Any other alternatives like changing model number etc.

That likely means your boot loader is stopping you from flashing a rom not meant for you device. YOU May be able to pull the boot-loader out of the rom then reflash . DO SO WITH CAUTION ... Also some have had been able to flash with mobile odin. I have not used it so have no clue.. Because you do not have the n8013 exactly to what i have . READ Other info before you follow my advice ...

I have exactly the same tab model and the same problem of the tablet being freezed at the samsung logo. Could you solve it? Would you mind sharing? Is there a way of keeping the personal data intact or recover it somehow?
I run out of ideas to solve this so thank you so much for your help.

There is no way you can recover your personal data at this stage. All you can do is bring it back to live.
I found the original Rom and flashed back with the same rom. The Note is back to normal.
Try in the internet for the factory firmware with the same model. you will get it. Good luck. :good::good::good:

Hi dear mate.
i have same device m485w. I bought it a few days ago. But os update stopped. Just jelly...
so i ported 4.4.4 based rom for m485w by using m480w firmware.
i modified kernel, boot.img3
now it works well.
Also for gnabo rom v8.0 i modified. It works well. It will solve be loved our devices' brick.
if some user want to this, i will share and make thread. But there are a few user using m485w device.

ok. In this weekend, i will upload samsung latest kk4.4.4 ni6 version modified by me.
now i am asking permit about using kernel. I have already done kernel work.
you may hope that.
and personally can u help me? To work this my param.bin is changed as n8000
it is same with our device. But for samsung service center i should rollback because language is different
If u help me i will give you flashing zip. This zip file copy m485 param.bin to sacard. whether u help me or not

it is very easy. I just give .zip file. Just flash by using twrp or phills recovery.
after flashing. Param.bin saved your sdcard automatically..

Hi ok.
Don't worry about that. There are 2 ways.
1. After installing gnabo v8.0 rom, flash .zip
His rom is great. sdcard limitation was solved in his rom.
2. But i think that .zip will work. It is not related os. ^^
How can android make directory and files in sdcard when stalling by using odin or something
Are u use rooted rom? It is impotant.

There is not much about your device on xda.
Please read the Huawei G510 - Root, Google apps and multiple languages thread.
Maybe you get a clue there.
If you register on xda, you can ask there to get answers of users having the same device like you.
For general help, you can ask in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
If you can't find a solution for the "phone ending" issue, you may consider flashing either another custom ROM or going back to the official/stock firmware.

Hello all, I Download a wrong Root for my device, after choosing a wrong file, iam back to a stock Orignal ROM its succeeded , then I tried to use Secret codes and surprised that it all does not work, then i dwonload the correct root ma, but the problme it's still , all the codes are not working and the device does not respond, such as that in the code like *#0011# i tries all secret cosdes
