So, running marshmallow on my S6 Edge and using Nova prime as my launcher. For some reason, if I have a missed call, it does not show up on the phone icon on the bottom of the screen. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If I have an unread text message, the icon for the messaging app displays a little "1" on it. This is not the case for the GMail icon, though. Any idea how to get that indicator?
I had it working on my Note 3, but I was using Nova Launcher with the Tesla Unread Plugin. Can I use that, or something similar, to get the unread notification on GMail? It'd be a nice little feature to have over in that edge screen.

I used Nova on my Note 3 and I loved it. Waiting for Nova to provide Edge support before installing it on my Edge.
1. I loved when using the phone the phone call would ring on the edge panel, since the recent update it pops up on screen (not the edge), any way to have the phone ringing on the edge only?
2. I've been a long time Nova user, it's been crashing a lot lately. I'm assuming it's because I have the flip cover case and when closed the edge panel lights up causing Nova launcher to crash. Anyone with Nova crashing issue?
What version? I have sprint, and the latest update does not remove edge ringer and NOVA launcher works great for me. I don't have the flip cover car though.

Settings scroll all the way to the bottom to call (click it). Then call related popups...

Btw I figured out the problem, under setting accessibility I turned on Voice command causing the call to pop up full screen.
Is there a way to enabled lollipop incoming call notification popup instead full screen Alcatel UI???
Hi, are you using the stock launcher ?
I can't remember how incoming calls looks like with it, but I'm using Apex now and I thinkI have the kind of notification you mentioned.
Maybe you should try with another launcher to see if it helps.
Hi, nope - I'm using nova and incoming call ui uses up whole screen.
I don't think it has anything to do with launcher.
My calls are displayed as small notification.. Maybe is your launcher

I noticed if you are using chrome it shows the banner but if you are at home screen or locked it will show full screen
Could anyone tell what's the meaning of the highlighted icon and how I can get rid of it?
It's next to a speaker icon, so don't confused.

Have you got any other dialler apps installed? Everything stock? Is that icon always there or only when you are connected to a call
The icon is always there. There's no other dialer app installed. I have my phone for about 2 days. Uninstalled all the bloatware that came from carrier.
What variant of the S6 do you have?
If it's G920K, G920S or G920L, the icon is normal.
If you have one of the other variants (G920F or G920I), the icon has something to do with accessibility and/or hearing aid settings. I had a similar icon on my Galaxy S3.
Just got a reply from Samsung tech support. It seems it's the icon for VoLTE: voice over LTE. Nothing to be changed in settings, just a network dependent feature which enhances the quality of the voice calls

For the moment, I have stock COK2, 5.1.1 on a N915P (Sprint).
Am I being an idiot, or am I missing a setting? The notifications that should be on the edge screen aren't showing up there. I get a popup at the top of the screen instead.
Under Settings > Edge Screen > Notifications, I have it ticked to show notifications on edge screen, but nada.
I switched to Messenger as default, changed that setting, went back to Signal as my default S/MMS, nope. Can't see anything in Nova Launcher.
The edge screen itself works fine for anything else. What am I missing?
Well, it seems that said popup is "feature".

Maybe it's too late for answer, but this EDGE features are connected with Touchwiz. So, if you are using other launcher, you IMHO cannot use this features
Do you have the right edge panel checked? Theres only one of them that receives notifications if i remember correctly.

If you are in 5.1.1, that was the bug where Samsung did not repair it but it was solved with 6.0.1. It happen to me prevoulsly. The notification did come back sometimes but it's gone when I restart my note edge. It works perfectly now on Marshmallow.
