help - stuck in download mode after failed update using odin - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi everyone, new here
i have tried to update to marshmellow on sgs6 920f
got an error sending me to use smartswitch on my pc. when trying to do so, it failed and i got "unknown error"
than tried to do so using odin. got this:
<ID:0/006> cache.img
<ID:0/006> hidden.img
<ID:0/006> FAIL!
<ID:0/006>
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
than tried flashing through Emergency software recovery and initialization in smartswitch,
got the same error, still stuck \:
really desperate.
any help would be appreciated
tnx

Install this ROM;
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B3U72O5ZZ8z-STJiWWJmR2hPM1U&export=download
(Don't forget to select PIT file!)
After install this, install whatever ROM you want from Odin.

Or.. just flash any kernel or just system.img(through odin) . It will get rid of the error after having a successful flash.

Help!! Sw rev check fail device 3 binary 2

I accidentally used 5.0.2 root on my 5.1.1 t-mobile s6 and it got the "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
So I tried to re-root by using the 5.1.1 version and it still got the same error. Stupid, I know
I did some google search and I found out that I need to flash to stock firmware, so I tried.
And it have new problem: SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 3 BINARY 2
Please help. I just got this phone for a month.

You should flash twrp recovery in order to get out of the bootloop. Google "Download TWRP for zeroflte", click on the first result, then download with the extension .tar so you can flash it in odin. Once downloaded, put your phone into download mode, connect it on computer, run odin and put the downloaded twrp recovery on AP. Flash it and the phone should finish booting up

I can go only into download mode and not recovery.
I tried flashing with odin TWRP and wasn't able to remove "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"" but after using a recovery "frecovery.tar.md5" it got removed , and now stuck at the loop can't turn it on and it will not go into recovery mode . PLSS help

Did you fix it?
I guess I'm fixing it now. I tried to flash 4-file firmware separately.
First: I downloaded and installed this TWRP zeroflte
BUT you can begin with -
Second: I flashed ONLY BOOTLOADER of this 4-file service firmware I9500XXUFNB3 (Unfortunatelly I cannot write down outside links of this file, because of I'm new user and system didn't allow me, but you can Google it and download from 4pda).
Third: I flashed ONLY AP
Fourth: I flashed CP (Modem)
Fifth: Last one CSC
FIRST START!...

SM-N915A , unable to boot, Odin failed, now bricked.

Hi All,
I was using the SM-N915A as normal...then i left it idle for a while and came back saw it kept resetting itself. I tried clear cache partition already didnt' work. It keeps looping on startup after the samsung logo. It got worst as time went on, it wont even load into recovery anymore, it just loads with the android icon saying it's updating then freezes and restarts....I read that I can manual recover using Odin. I used odin and a stock rom to fix it, but the rom failed now i am bricked. Please help.

Thanks, I managed to use the pit file and it got pass the brick page.
However, now the system goes into the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge loading screen and just stays there for a very long time and then restarts itself again....I pulled the battery out to manual shutdown (power button will not shut it down) and tried to go into recovery mode, it says loading recovery, but ends up restarting back to the Samsung loading screen indefinitely again. I would assume that's because the rom is dead at this point, and I would need to go to dl mode and flash a new stock rom back in ? What is my next step ?

You know what, try to clean power button. It may sticks. Pull battery and put small drop of rubbing alcohol. Then press couple times ( with out battery). Let dry for 10 min( you may use hair dryer on low power) . Put battery back and let us know.

Hi to all. I was trying to recover some files with DrFone when it tried to root my phone. The rooting process failed and the phone bricked. If I try to power it on, it appears the writing "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
Obviously kies can't connect to the phone.
If I press pwr+vol_dn+home and then select "volume up" the phone goes in download mode but doesn't accept the reset of drfone, the download process freeze at half...
What can I do?

thanks for the pit file, saved my n915a after encountering "DRK error" after the 6.0.1 update. Cheers

Galaxy S6 Edge stuck on boot icon along with Nand error.

I used CF Auto root to root my device with Odin 3.10.6. Afterwards my device would just boot to the logo and stop their. I have tried everything I could find online. I tried stock firmware with all versions of Odin I could get my hands on, I tried flashing a custom ROM with Odin, I tried Keis and Smart but no luck there either. I also went in store to AT&T and they could do nothing either except offer me a new phone for 800 bucks lol. I have followed many online tutorials also from various websites.
My phone is SM G925A. I need answers badly. Any help is much appreciated.
Odin spits this out at me every try or else it gets stuck on a segment and never continues the flash:

[Help Needed] Failed Firmware update using Odin. Need help flashing correct firmware.

Hello,
I tried to update my wife's Samsung S7 firmware using Odin and managed to brick/boot loop it.
I need some help getting it working again.
Its an unlocked T-Mobile Samsung S7 (SM-G30T) from Ebay using a Virgin Mobile SIM and it originally had the G930TUVU4APK1 (Android 6.0.1) firmware on it.
It would not update OTA, so I downloaded the G930TUVS8CRJ1 (Android 8.0) from Sammmobile.com.
I opened Odin, selected the BL, AP, CP and CSC files and hit Start. The Odin log said "failed (auth)".
I exited Download Mode and tried to restart the phone, it would try to boot but it gave me the message "security error: this phone has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked".
I downloaded and tried to flash the older G930TUVU4APK1 (Android 6.0.1) firmware, but it did not work.
I am able to get back into Download Mode and Odin still recognizes the phone. I think its possible to save it?
I should have never tried to do this, I feel terrible and I need some help. How can I fix this? Where can I find firmware that I can flash to fix this?
I would really appreciate your help! Thank you very much!!
I just tried to flash the older Android 6.0.1 firmware again. This time selecting only AP, CP and CSC.
This is what the Odin log says.

Something I noticed. Before I tried to update it, on the Download Mode screen, it said "Current Binary: Official".
Now it says "Current Binary: Custom". I think I need to get that to say "Official" again.
I would suggest that you download the firmware again and then try flashing it.....
As far as that custom binary thing is concerned.... That's not going to change as far as i know cause that tripped the knox.... And the warranty is lost... If it was there ..... So i hope u recover it again.... Also try getting into the recovery mode and format before flashing the firmware.... That might help.....
Let me know what happens....
All the best
Thanks for the help soyuz4u!
After spending a long night trying various things,
I was finally able to fix it by flashing the G930TUVS8CRJ1 (Android 8.0) firmware again using Odin. Except this time I used the "CSC..." file, instead of the "HOME_CSC..." file.
Originally I was trying to preserve the data on the phone, so thats why I used the Home file. However, after struggling for a while I eventually gave up hope and decided try it again, this time wiping everything out with the CSC file... and to my delight, it worked! Thank goodness! Its working perfectly on an official firmware!
Just as an FYI, USA model S7's can't be downgraded via Odin, so once you're on Oreo your only option to resolve issues would be to flash Oreo.
i doubt there is working stock firmware for android 6.0.X. I have tried several stock firmwares they all fail.
