Samsung Account Processing Failed..... again - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Previously I had a problem with kitkat in which samsung accounts lock you out and there is processing failed. There are ways to get around that until it was fixed in lollipop. Now this latest update marshmallow plugged the holes in Lollipop. For me after the installation of the latest Marshmallow, I got blocked out of accessing my phone again... (samsung account processing failed) even though I know my user name and password, it would not accept it just keep on saying processing failed.
Just so you know my specs is Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-9250, bought in China, switched to Hong Kong firmware, currently boots into the 6.01 hong kong version which is an absolute nightmare because "google" is blocked in China. I had to use a virtual laptop wifi VPN to get it pass checking updates.
I was wondering, if it is possible to downgrade my phone from the 6.01 to lollipop 5.1.1 unfortunately Odin keeps on saying Nand write failed for my AP's that I've been using. So, is there anyway to "fix" this problem?

Been searching all over the web for a solution to this problem. It is possible to downgrade from Android M to any rom above C017, there are ways to get internet, browser, downloading apps working, however it is still impossible to create a new samsung account or use my old samsung account. This is strange because I can log into my samsung account on the phone's browser perfectly, just not the phone reactivation lock.
Does this mean my phone's IMEI have changed? If so, is it possible to use my old Samsung backup folder to restore my previous IMEI? Do i need the exact same ROM to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any assistance please? I need to get this phone working for work.

Help with FRP Lock

Hello everybody,
I usually find my answers in the specific phone related forums. But this time I'm stuck.
A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F to be specific) in India. After using his phone there he came back home to Israel.
His phone didn't worked here for some reason and he went to a phone lab which flashed his ROM to stock Israel ROM.
They called him in the middle of the process and asked him what was his Google account thet he signed to while the first setup. Unfortunately, he cant remember his email address.
I took the phone to try bypassing the frp lock.
After a small search I realized I need an otg cable, which I bought.
I received the cable (1.5 mounths wait) and tried the otg cable method with no success.
After some experiments I successfully managed to open the settings menu. Pressed factory data reset and after a restart it stopped on recovery menu with the yellow message "dm-verity verification failed".
Well, this is annoying. I realized I need to flash the stock ROM again(Dated 01/16). So I did And the message dissapperd.
Back to the FRP lock issue. I did the process again and it didn't stopped in the recovery mode this time and I could see the Android logo with a little erasing.. Under it. Finally I thought.
I was wrong.
The FRP lock is still there! Dammit.
It is time to pull the big guns.
I thought I will flash the OLDER version of the stock ROM. Dated 09/2015 I Understand google updated the FRP lock protection on January 2016. Is the downgrade OK? I don't know if a downgrade is possible on Samsung phone.
And if you have an idea how to bypass this. Please share it.
Thank you so much!

Samsung Pass not working

2 days ago I've installed the official BTU version of android 7.0 on my Galaxy S7 flat. In the past I was able to login by fingerprint in the stock browser. Now I always get a message to login at Samsung Pass. When I fill in my credentials email & password I always get a message that Samsung Pass is temporary not available, try again later.
I already did a factory reset yesterday but the problem still remain. Did somebody else encountered the same problem? I don't know how to fix it.
Hopefully somebody can tell me.

Are you rooted or have modded twrp? That's why. Samsung pass works only for completely stock and non-rooted devices.

S8+ unauthorised system changes- the Saga

Hi All
so i am tearing my hair out trying to resolve my issue with a new S8+. i have spent better part of 1 week trying to suss out how the heck to fix this, trawling through forums, web pages trying everything without success.
Background
i purchased a S8+ through a friend who went to china. the device was made the US markets and i live in southern africa.
As far as i am aware the device is brand new (friend purchased s8 for some1 else- no issues) and came with full packaging and box
when i came to setup the device after going through all the usual bits, i got the security agent login message "unauthorised system changes- please restart device" and this message keeps appears even after the restart
Attempted Fixes
1. Attempted to root the phone- tried using specified apps- Kingroot, kingoroot in an attempt to disable system notifications. failed to root
2. Root using Odin- after trawling through the internet i found root file CF-Auto-Root-dream2qltesq-dream2qltesq-smg955u
this failed- odin error
3. Attempted to reload stock firmware - downloaded multiple versions of andriod, learnt a bit about using the right firmware download- failed. error message to the effect binary code 2>1
4. sideload oero based on firmware: failed - error message unable to load as andriod expecting different file version- (sorry i dont know if this is too vague)

when going into download mode the carrier is VZW so assuming the device was meant for V Wireless in US
I recently went through the same thing you are describing but with my Galaxy S7. I had to download software from Verizon, install the software on my computer. Start the software and follow the instructions. You will need internet access. USB data cable. Your phone (if it's anything like mine was) will need to be started in Download Mode before connecting to your computer. If you can't find the software on Verizon's website let me know and I will get the link from other computer when I get back home in the next day or two. Hope this helps. BTW this didn't help the ROOT situation. Currently still researching that as well.

Sounds like first stick firmware is wrong revision.
Oreo must be on a certain firmware lever before upgrade.
C.f. auto root don't work due to locked bl

Problem with my Samsung S7

Hello everyone,
I bought a Samsung S7 a while ago and performed the setup based on my gmail account.
But now I do not know the password anymore and when I perform a hard reset I have to log in with that account, so you now understand what my problem is.
How can I solve this because the store does nothing and via google it does not work.
Please need help.
Is there a option if everything is gone to diable frp lock?
Ideally you should have had a recovery email or alternative method to get your gmail back. FRP is pretty tough.
You can try flash an older firmware version and then use an older FRP bypass exploit, the latest Android builds basically have no exploits left.
You may have to try multiple difference older firmwares before one lets you flash, but you may find none will flash.

Confused while trying to update my phone

Hello everyone,
I have bought a used Samsung Galaxy S8+ from China. I have been using it for a few days and i havent noticed anything odd. I don't know the phones origin or for how long has it been used before I got it.
It is running on Android 7.0 (Nougat). Since this is an older version of android I've been thinking to update it to Android 8.0 (Oreo). But I know that the phone doesn't have the originl ROM installed on it since I am not able to update it from the settings app and I also noticed that Knox was tripped in Odin mode.
This is the part which confuses me: if i enter Odin download mode there is a section which tells you your model number, and for me it says SM-G955N but if I look at the back of the phone or in the settings app it says SM-G955FD.
I was planning to download custom ROM and just simply install it via Odin app on my pc.
I'm just worried that I don't mess up something on my phone since the model numbers don't match up. How do I install any software update from this point and does the missmatching model number influence it?
I would very much appreciate anyones help, thanks.
