Cell phone tripods... Does anyone have one? - LG V10 Accessories

So I got this brilliant idea. My gf and I were talking and we are going to start a blog. I've learned how to do some very amazing videos with this phone, especially recording in 24fps. Its very movie like. Anywho, does anyone have a recommendation for a nice cell phone tripod? Preferably something I can clip into the phone then screw into a tripod?

Most cheap selfie sticks are compatible with any camera mount. Just unscrew the portion that holds the phone from the telescoping stick, and then screw it onto any camera mount or tripod. Works great.
I can post pics if you need to see it in action.

Making a Vinyl "Sticker" for back

Opinions? The Android "guy" will be cut out so you'll see the "pretty" Nexus 4 back shining though. Be cutting one in a carbon fiber too. Hell...I have about 30 colors...may be kinda cool. Thoughts? Cost is very minimal to make them for myself so figure why not the small added protection for the back.
That is awesome.

Worked very well actually. The vinyl I use is high end...so I was able to easily take it off with out any residue being left on he phone. Ive changed it to 4 colors in the last two days just for heck of it.

If you start selling these, I'll definitely buy a couple. With a glass back, something like this would become substantial to a lot people.
I'd buy several colors no doubt about it, very cool.

I'm using a $4000 dollar vinyl cutting machine to make them. I have a side business doing professional banners, prints...etc etc. So I made my own template based off of a Hi-Res scan I made of the rear of the device. So my "stickers" are a perfect cut every single time.
Carbon Fiber one will go on tonight. I think this will really look nice. I will upload pics when I have them. Never thought about selling them. I could even personalize them...instead of the Android guy I could put your XDA user name, dogs name...wife's?
But in all honesty, if you really are wanting these I would have no problem making them for you guys. I'm thinking maybe $4 including USPS shipping. Carbon would be a dollar more (material is really pricey).

That's a little out of my price range for a "DIYer." It looks like a really clean cut.
I'd love to buy one if they can be highly customized. Is there any disturbance on the camera zoom with that small camera cutout?

Depends on the curves of the device. N$ is simple..its flat. Plus id need a scan of the rear of the device to I can create the template.

Anybody tried the spigen flip ultra view case yet?

Desperately trying to find some reviews on this bad boy as an alternative to the official s view case which is a bit lacking imo, but I'm totally coming up short

I love the s view window feature, but the official one is just too poorly fitted and is not worth the price at all.

[S4 Active] Underwater Pictures and Video People Have Taken

For those of you who are wondering what kind of underwater photos the S4 Active takes, I figured I'd create a thread for myself and others with this phone to post some photos. Also I took a video underwater as well.
And I posted this in the other "main" S4 Active Thread, but I don't suggest going below the 1 meter mark with your phone as there is some evidence of water getting inside the phone below that mark. I had water get behind the back cover of my device (but not inside the protective seal) and also my microphone for phone calls was waterlogged for quite a few hours after swimming even after many attempts to blow it out.
nice photos
too bad i can't go under water anymore--have enough fluid in my ears already lol

The problem I had was with the microphone, that hole is so tiny that neither blowing or sucking really did much to get out any water that may have been inside it.

did you not notice when the phone came out of the water the microphone didnt pick up what he said because it was wet... that kinda sucks i heard it takes a bit before that stuff works again after water gets in.

That's what i'm thinking too. It has been cloudy here and I haven't been able to get a good balanced picture of the landscape and sky. It looks like it can handle clear sky pretty well. Would htc be able to really fix that over a software update though? or is it more of a hardware thing. I really don't mind the 4mp camera, it picks up decent enough detail, for my needs anyway. Really don't like the exposure issue or lack of dynamic range i'm seeing though.
Haven't really messed with settings yet.

Dot Case

So I saw the dot case in store on the display model, which we have all probably seen, However which the security device on the back side of the display models I was unable to notice this (see pictures) and I did not notice it in any of the reviews.
I really like the concept of the minimal 8bit lock screen which the dot case and further more the option to answer and make calls without opening is a great plus.
That said it's a shame I won't be using the case now that I have it. The lid does not close flush on the back when open which means the right hand must simple hold the phone and case preventing the right thumb from being able to be used to type / navigate on the screen. And if you were to not hold the lid flush against the back your left and can not maintain a firm grip on the phone because the lid is a tpu material which renders it a bit slippery.
This disappoints me because I really like the features it add.
* note to mods our accessories link is not working this is the reason this thread is in general and not /accessories

you dont think it will soften up over time?
This has been mentioned in the Dot View review thread, Others have said it is nearly impossible to type with the cover folded back unless you are really pushing on it.
The case itself does not appear to provide much, if any protection to the back and sides. The Dot View look is cool but with the lack of protection and the flip cover not laying flat, I passed.

Same here after playing with it in store. More of a "cheap gimmick" case imo. Looks cool at night to show off to Ur friends but for any protection, day to day use, and the dot dirt it leaves on screen. Obviously not much thought went into this case outside of the "gimmicks."
Maybe if a soft see through cloth was on the inside of the lid so no dot dirt goes on device, lid actually was flexible to bend back and stay there, feel secure when closed, and had more protection then a cheap $5 knock off case, it would be well worth the $30 maybe $40 tops. Watch a cheap Chinese knock off becomes available on eBay in a few months with all these improvements and half the price, lol!

Lol, not much thought went into this case???? Ok. I think a lot of thought went into this case, and I think they did a excellent job on it! The case, is meant to use while on the go. Not flaming, serious question.... Are you saying that you remove your case when texting or otherwise using your phone?
Imo a if your a case type of person wouldn't u want a case to leave on at all times?
I even like the display when the lid is on, in fact once we have write on the /system I fully intend on making it an optional lock screen when no security it being used.
