Hi,
I flashed Cyanogenmod 11 on my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.1 - cm-11-20131208-NIGHTLY-hammerhead).
Everything is working perfect except that the youttube app cannot play any videos (see attached screenshot).
- I tried reinstalling CM11, reinstalling the YouTube app, wiping cache & dalvik cache
- I can play video files from the internal storage wit the video player app
- Internet connection is working and stable.
Youtube logcat output: http://pastebin.com/BU6qrS6g
Is this a problem on my end, a problem with the youtube app or with CM11 (and should I report the problem to CM)?
If it's a problem on my end - can anyone help me fixing it?
Thanks.
Edit:
Attachment produced a 404 Error - Here is the screenshot: http://i39.tinypic.com/b83f5s.png

I have the exact same problem. The youtube ads work but when it comes to the video it just says "problem while playing touch to retry"

Same Problem with Youtube App on Nexus 7 and Nightly CM 11.0
Fixed with upgrade to the latest Nightly Build
A quick word of advice:
if you flash a nightly ROM (or anything for that matter), especially something that isn't considered a stable release, try reverting back to your old setup to check if functionality returns. That way you can assume that what you've flashed has actually caused the break.
Nightly builds ARE NOT stable builds. Things can and will be broken.

I still get issues myself. I just wait for the next build to fix it. Where's the donate link to CM11?

Did you solve the issue? I have just started encountering the same problem.
Nightly builds state that there is a high chance of bugs and should not be used as daily drivers though more people seem to be. Whether it's down to not knowing how unstable they can be I've no idea.
Stick to Snapshots if you want it to work.......

Edit: Wrong thread oops
I have run into a problem with YouTube after installing the two Xposed modules YouTube Adaeay and DarkTube. I just can't play videos on the YouTube app anymore and the problem isn't fixed even after removing both the modules.
I have tried reinstalling the YouTube app, cleared phone cache and dalvik cache but no love.
If anybody has a solution then please comment.
Thanks!
I searched the forum and couldn't find anyone with anything similar to this...
Using COS12.1 - yog4pas1n0
TWRP Installed
Rooted
Xposed Installed
ColorOS Camera
Those are the biggest recent changes I've made to my OPO . But recently, the camera will fail for video recording only for all apps (Snapchat, Camera, Instagram, Whatsapp etc.)
I've rebooted a numerous times and always the same result, it'll work after boot (repeatedly) but then fail to work a few minutes after.
I've uninstalled all the Xposed Modules thinking one of them could be the issue
Ran a boot manager to run only the essentials, but still the same issue
I can still take photos but it's just the video recording
Any suggestions from anyone?

Hi Guys, its my first post here. I installed TWRP on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ and rooted it and installed afterwards the Renovate Ice Rom Version 6.1. When i want to play a YouTube-Video it shows sometimes only the Play-Button and nothing happens when i click it. When i want to play a Movie in Google Play Movie it lags and reloads the video a few times and tells me soon to restart my device. 9Gag doesn't want to play videos either. I tried reinstalling all the apps, clearing their cache/data and even cleared my device cache partition. Is there any way to fix this without flashing a stock rom? Any Suggestions? Appreciate your answers...
Adhell, adaway or another Adblocker installed? That could be the reason
